Today I build, rebuild, fix, and modify my cheap 2000 Honda Civic hatchback that I bought on Ebay Motors, to put up against Chris From B Is For Build in a quarter mile drag race. It needs a ton of work and I only have 48 hours to do it. Oh boy.

Damn, all I can imagine is being at a concert full of people with knives attached to their elbows. Like, you are constantly surrounded by sensory input that could at any moment be a health concern. Sorry more people don't think about that, and big ups to this channel
@@mixup2216 There aren't many shows that have those types of warnings. Most shows usually have some sort of signal in the action or plot that tips me off to a flashy scene. But, I use KRplus because I don't have to worry about commercials, which are the most dangerous for me.

Stoked to see you get into a Honda! I learned how to tune cars and got into tuning from Hondas in the early 2000s. They are such a simple chassis to work on!

Most people are not Honda fan's till they drive one or get humiliated on the street by one with four less cylinders than their car... doh! I had the worst path in car ownership (This is a joke, I've been really happy with my choices for my fun car/HPDE learning curve), 1969 el Camino, 1992 Integra GS-R, 1988 BMW 4dr 325 - Still own this one, and plan to for the long haul, but it might loose the 2.7 stroker for a Z06 or CTS-V drive train, that way my life is full circle.. lol

My dad constantly made fun of Honda's when I was in highschool, "rice rockets," "sounds like a can of bees," "very small displacement." To be fair, we were both muscle car guys mostly, (he has an obsession with Volvo Amazon's, but we won't get into that.. cough *my mom is Swedish) We were working on restoring my el Camino and his 69' AMC AMX. Then I picked up the 92' GS-R get something a little more efficient, because I went a little far with the carb and jetting on the el Camino... After making the Integra a dedicated track rat and letting him drive it, he absolutely shifted his position and was just shaking his head, "boy son, you could get in A LOT of trouble with this car, it's so nimble" For him the irony was he owns a painfully restored 1989 KZ1000 motorcycle which he loves, and he could immediately respect VTEC and an 8000rpm redline with a very short gearbox. It's just a blast to bang through gears. So you can teach an old dog new tricks, and there is no reason to not respect and enjoy a lot of different vehicles, why segregate yourself?

My guess is that the switch is used to disable the brake light switch so that the brake lights don't go on when the brake pedal is depressed. Useful for evading police with your headlights off.

I'm only saying this out of a desire to see you continue to live and create, but that rollcage you bought wouldn't pass tech in so, so many places. I know you're limited by budget and time, but PLEASE don't use this type again
Just to clarify, that cage isn't a bolt *in* roll cage, it's a bolt *TOGETHER* roll cage that bolts in. This is an awful idea, and the people selling them are selling the idea of safety instead of actual safety.
If you flip a car, and your roll bar or cage is bolt together, then every bolt is a potential failure point, and they will fail first in an impact.
If you check online, most racing requires a bolt in roll bar as a minimum. A bolt together roll bar or cage will automatically fail tech, because the bars must be welded together, even if not welded to the floor.

My b20b Integra can walk my friend sc400. Now adding a vtec head and turbo it wouldnt even be a race. I also don't think a Chevy 350 is anywhere as good as a 1uzfe but the chevy engine is modified. Should be a Civic win for sure
