You have a Ls/Vtec build or a full gsr b18c1. As far as your shifter... change the bushings for the shift linkage ... the oem ones are known to be shit

Yup, new bushings gets rid of that slop a lot and they are easy to replace.
I had a 90 Honda CRX hf. It was the lowest horsepower you could get but the car was also 300lbs lighter than the SI. 1800 lbs.

This car you found has every piece on it I had in my shopping list. Unfortunately it was totalled. A lady blew an intersection and t-boned me.
For the time I had it I drove it everywhere as hard as I could. It may only have made 200 hp, but it was so light it made it feel like a 200 hp go-kart. Some day I will build another CRX. I love how simple the Honda motors were back in the 90's.

I had a 2000 Honda Civic EX Coupe 5 speed manual with the D16Y8. It was a great little car and kept me safe when I rolled it 2.5 times off a bank and landed upside down. Crawled out of the passenger side window and had one small scratch on my wrist and some whiplash. Honda's are well built, even the late 90's-early 2000's ones that feel like go carts that are made out of tin! The hatchbacks are even better cause they fit more stuff! I was looking to buy a civic hatchback recently but found a great deal on a Toyota Matrix XRS that I couldn't pass up cause it is a 4 door hatchback and has the 2ZZ engine (with VVTL-I, the L is for LIFT - similar to vtec)

I had a B18 93 hatch with turbo and a few other mods. It drove amazing even with 4 6x9s and a 15 for added weight in the back. We used to race back in the day in Pensacola with all the car enthusiasts on Saturdays. Those were the days

I’ve got a 94 Honda Civic Si hatchback. The driver side door handle only opens from inside. The sunroof doesn’t work. It’s AC deleted. There’s no radio. The hood won’t stay up unless propped with a broomstick. Sometimes only one headlight comes on. Sometimes the speedometer stops working. The instrument cluster lights don’t work. Sometimes if you get past 7k RPM it’ll drop all power and the check engine light comes on, which is fixed by turning the engine off and back on. The shifter has as much play in each gear as it does in neutral. The ECU is bolted in behind the cup holder. And I love my car.
