@@philspaghet agreed. I personally have driven many low and mid 9 second passes, in a RWD 79 Camaro Z28. It was wild and not a "point and shoot" type of deal, especially since it was manual. Now for a FWD, I drove a friend's Civic SI into a mid 12, and THAT actually felt just as crazy. Haha... It's a totally different ball game. That's why I said I wasn't trying to knock him, but he will need a LOT of seat time and a LOT of tuning/tweaking to get his times down.
Love this guy's humility: when he messes up or doesn't know, he says so. Much more fun to watch than trash talking, macho bullshit. Also Jared is awesome, like an encylopaedia of vehicles without an ego of matching size. This is petrol head heaven, I learn so much with every vid.

You can really tell tavarish has never driven a high hp fwd. Hes scared of the two step. early shifting and bogging out going into third. Just because hits rev limiter if its spinning you don't shift. And none of those "burnouts" put any heat in those tires

I've done 17.5 in a stock 120bhp Skoda Fabia on an old airfield drag strip with a boot full of camera equipment haha.
@@rnaodmletetr I believe they've got the cars and all the parts for free as part of the eBay app sponsorship, it was basically free toys for them to invest a few work days into. I really feel for the original owner, though, that was easily at least a 5-10k project, certainly well planned and made, only to turn out into a fail in practice. Imagine all that only to get the car to become heavier and run slower and poorer than as it was as a stock Lexus, plus nobody wanted his nicely built project and Chris got it for a fraction of the investment.

I believe if the civic had a automatic racing transmission you'd be able to keep the boost while keeping full on throttle. Distributing the weight and adjust the ride height in the back. That car is capable of doing faster passes with more testing and tuning.

Looks to me like it needs stiffer engine mounts to help fight the wheel hop. See @ 6:45 - the engine flopping back and forth, indicating wheel hop as the mounts load/unload. An overly stiff rear mount will transfer a lot of vibration into the cabin, so I would use the stiffest rubber in the left and right mounts.

If you shift the second you hit the limiter you won’t have enough rpm to make any boost in the next gear. He did shift slowly though.

With overpowered FWD cars with limited traction you'll want to stay on the limiter for a bit to max out each gear.

Drop tyre pressure and add a weight plate new coilovers/springs sounds like it needs a tune to add some boost in lower rpm for the ek
Yeah bro you can't just throw a turbo and some engine parts out of motor and expect it to work good. That car would be kicking ass and taking names if they could do boost by RPM or by speed that way they can gradually ramp to boost in from like 3500 RPMs on in because he doesn't need 650 wheel horsepower to beat the Lexus. What he needs is like 475 to 550 horsepower from like 4,000 RPMs to 8000 RPMs. It's all about a linear power band. But I haven't finished watching the video yet let's go tavarish

I went to go pick up a car up with my teacher and we got the car up and my friend tells me “ain’t that tavarish” and I look up and I’m like” Naww no way” so we get in the truck and I’m like let me look up on KRplus and see clear and it’s him and we took pictures and it’s was a crazy day. He has some cool cars. Can’t say where he at but it’s a nice cool place.

HellSpawn_Sniper and they both have driven the cars in this episode more than both their lambos. Building something and getting seat time behind that something is two different things. A lot of people build 1000hp + dyno cars, but only a few actually drive that 1000hp.

This was a fun little series. Then at the end you give Cleetus the Civic. That is an interesting car for their fleet. It's getting more and more diverse. They also have a rotary too.
