@@itsmejak7888 Seriously. He could have gotten a better Alpine unit for 300 dollars that would have transformed the usability of the system. He could have even added an obd2 readout to the screen for fun.
@@jimmyrogers918 I thought this too but in the next video he rips out the entire interior to get it re-upholstered. I think that $70 head unit is just a stopgap to let him test the other components. He'll probably put something more high end in the car before it's finished.

@@ItsJustUmberellaella It it was going to get in the way it wouldn't have been done. All the wiring runs with factory wiring, which the panel was designed to go over. The battery needed replacing so that was fixed as well.

@@Dukes3677 That would be a pretty solid setup, but you might consider our Lowballer 15's as well. They're similar in size and the same power rating, but they like lows a little more and direct swaps have shown they're louder than SA's. Lowballers are also a little cheaper so you'd save several bucks.

Aftermarket car audio is still a thing and doesn't require 18" subwoofers and thousands of watts to sound good. A little upgrade can go a long way! Loved the episode!

well the interior is tore out. is there a better time? the audio wiring all that stuff goes below the interior. you almost always pull interior first on a resto. i also think he was still trying to decide how he was gonna handle the powerplant and drivetraim

Sundown Audio is no joke!!!! Great quality and equipment that is definitely underrated. I have a 15” Sundown ZV5 on 8,000 watts and let me tell you, this thing was amazing. Currently on 4,000 watts (too much fun on 8k, lol) but it’s still very impressive for a 2,000 watt rated subwoofer. My brother had the SD-12 and it sounded really clean. Great Subwoofer for tight spaces. Lambo is sounding good for sure. 👍

Nicholas Sanjay worth it if you’re a serious Basshead. Lots of other brands to choose from if you’re looking for an SPL setup that’s easy on the wallet like Skar, Wolfram, or B2 Audio to name a few.
This is the perfect time to do a stereo install! It needs a battery, the head unit is missing, and the interior is in pieces. The car set it’s own stage to receive a high end stereo system, totally makes sense. Plus, why not :)

Headrest speakers with separate amp and volume controls, clarion spectrum analyzer (with dancing lights) alpine 12 disk changer, amp, sub, and upgraded hi fi speakers all round stock size. Should be killer!

EVOCATEUR my sterio was already messed with before I bought it as the 6th owner. I also intend on it being removable and period correct as well. I'm a believer of keeping them mostly original but 30 years things have been improved. The speaker cones in my car are a hard paper and with sunlight, well it does not last as long as the cars lol.

With my car in pieces, I'd jump on audio install first too. Especially with no audio systems in the car what's so ever and a sponsorship/collab to help you with the project . One thing less to worry about when you're putting everything back to the way it's supposed to be

I agree. But, I’m not into the whole sound system thing. I’d rather listen to the car, the motor, etc. I’m happy with a small factory stereo and a pair of speakers if I want music. Much less added weight, too. I guess, if it’s your car, and you need to rattle the windows, this is how to do it, though.

@@kolinstallman3788 yes, KRplus doesn't do it justice. Using them on KRplus is just for quietness. That said, quality is high and the base transfer through the cups were fantastic still.

Hopefully your headunit has at least 3v or even better than that, 5v preouts for your speakers and sub, it really makes a huge difference with your max volume without damaging your speakers. I love this build though, I know your just getting warmed up though! Great job!😎

No. Not required at all. Use it if you have it. If not, you can cut a perfect circle with a jig saw. Now...Caveat.. if you don't have a circular saw and a jig saw..😁 probably shouldn't even attempt to be a woodworker 😉
