Today I remove everything from my cheap Lamborghini Murcielago's interior, including the dashboard, and it wasn't easy. Really not easy.

Classic Tavarish: Installing sound system components before the car even starts on its own.
I said this same thing. He's going to end up taking that stereo in and out 2 or 3 times. He should have just used the can stereo he's been selling.lol I love Tavarish tho.
He got a sponsored stereo and it was installed in the empty shell so it is ready when the interior comes together. Sounds about right.
Stl JaX yeah if it sounds so good like he said
Yeah. Why not finish the interior before adding the sound system? Duh....
This is hilarious. Listen to yourselves. It clearly makes the most sense to run wiring before interior goes back in. So you don't have to rip the newly upholstered interior out to run a new sound system..
His channel is good because he is honest and not bullshitting .
He admits he don’t know what he is doing but still figures it out.
Gcal1956 does he figure it out or do other people do it for him
DONT DO THE PART BEHIND THE SEAT IN LEATHER! the leather from the seat will rub against it and creek like absolute hell!
Yup! I have had cars with such hellish noises.
that makes the case for gold tape!
that shits me in my Ferrari.. put seat to comfortable position, deal with squeaks. Put seat to uncomfortable position, no squeaks
Rob C the Huracan has the same exact problem, it’s really annoying.
@@dannyh6641 must be an Italian thing :)
Im a automotive technician and do these things everyday and I give him mad credit for doing what he does with no automotive background. Good work man keep the great work up. Btw your videos are great. Can’t wait to see the next episode. 👍👍👍 👍👍 on the great automotive work you have been doing.
A.J. Da Silva you’re giving too much credit ...
Not really! I’m in the business, for almost 50yrs , automotive skills are attainable by many people that want them for real and it takes some effort!! I’m still learning every day and on any given day your handed a real puzzle often with many pieces from another box or a late model exotic and you must be after it and want it! Tavarish try’s very hard and is patient and,for the most part organized, so my hat is off to him and any other person who wants to get in the biz who displays these qualities I am proud of them!!
Alan Saad Alan S because of a badge he now is really skillful? Interesting, the dude litterally is yanking a dash out you can hear panels cracking. Well documented? Disassembling something doesn’t take much skill it’s how ppl ruin cars all the time. This isn’t craftsmenship, you said 50 years? You haven’t seen shit then and or are extremely clueless he’s just using this for content. He’s just recording himself and carefully he’s doing it you said ? Did you see a zip lock bag anywhere ? No service manual like he bragged about in vin wiki taking a car apart doesn’t make you skillful nor a craftsman these responses are almost as bad as ppl who believe fake reality tv shows.
@@msengineeringdavid3702 you are an actual derp lmfaooo. tavarish ends up showing this at SEMA LOL. your some random internet hater lmao. i guarantee you couldnt do 5% of the crap he does.
@@msengineeringdavid3702 How's your imbecile ass feeling now? How many cars do you get to show at SEMA? Lol, what a tool. And Lamborghini's official service manuals are useless trash with loads of mistakes/inaccuracies... He's literally wasted money on them & said this all before (for the Gallardo).
Tavarish, don't put leather behind the seats. It's cloth for a reason. Leather on leather will squeak when the seat rubs on it!! Leave it cloth for a squeak free ride.
That's why he put the monster sound system in it. It's a 03 and squeak, crack, and bang.....no charge!
You beat me to it. I had to pause the video because I was going to say almost exactly the same thing.
I always wondered why car manufacturers did this.
I wouldn't put leather on the bulkhead, if the seat touches it it'll squeak like crazy
I agree, I think it would look good with Alcantera accents and colored stitching.. his car though, I'm just here for the content!
My S2000 used to do that if the seat was too close. Good call.
@MostlyCarPhoto's "don't lean the seat back". Every time someone gets in my S2k 😄
Just commented this then saw yours 😂
and probably end up with ugly scuff marks
Yeah, the color of the stitching was definitely the most urgent matter!
well it has to be repainted to at least make it better than a 5 minute movie job.
In case you didn't notice, the sound system was definitely the most urgent matter. Thank god it was taken care of.
I'd rather repaint the car yellow than change the stitching
@@anidiotinaracingcar4874 maybe im wrong but seems it would cost a small fortune to restitch the leather
An entire leather/alcantara interior on a two seater may be under $2000, so just the stitching may be reasonably cheap
Got to be one of the smoothest transitions into a skill share ad
Do the bulkhead in cloth otherwise the leather seat will squeak against it
The mystery interior material is... Gold Insulation Foil!
I sure hope so!! The views it would get!!
until you try to drive, ya know, outside, in the sun, and you can't see a damn thing
I think it’s carbon all new super cars has them and I think thats what he means since the whole car is made of carbon
He should put alcantara and carbon fiber as the interior materials.
Leopard skin velour, and denim.
I'd keep the backpanel cloth, it's a better sound dampener
to match the carpets
For his sounds too!
Who puts a system in a lambo?! Plus that car is now a piece of junk bro.
Plezzz talk about the switch’s when u find out
Almost all european cars has the ability to turn off the passenger airbag. It's meant for haven't a child-carrier on the passenger seat. Best regards
Its for rear-facing child seats specifically.
Wait what? I thought putting children in the front seat of cars was a bad idea?
Tojo Blindeye because of the airbag. That’s why you can turn it off.
@@Tojoblindeye That's why cars without a back seat have the option to turn off the airbag. This is the case in the US too.
@Daver G many usa cars don't require that ability by law
Imagine having to put that all back together? Every single bolt, that way there are no phantom rattles. Good luck!
Dash-n-Cars it's not very hard to put an interior back, especially in an older car
@@cheetahgaming3642 with that many 8mm bolts hidden wayyy back in crevices of a 16 year old Lambo? It looks like a huge pain in the ass compared to many old Honda dashes I've removed.
@Tiberiu Gherasim i would forget easily but at least he filmed himself so he can look back.
Expanding foam will sort all that out. no need for stanky ass old bolts.
@tavarish I remember watching this channel when it had 20,000 subscribers. I know a lot has gone into it since then but seems like it was yesterday. Way to go man! Great stuff. Keep going.
I love that your pronunciation of murcielago changes every time
It's a DB name anyway. Sort of like 'turban' engines.
Andy Taylor DB name? What does db stand for?
probably douce bag
When Tavarish doesn’t know if Ed Bolian is watching so he says it one way for him and one way everyone else knows it as lol
The accent in Murciélago is there for a reason. It shows where the stress is. It's in the second syllable.
I know since I'm Spanish.
Don't forget about adding some gold tape!! Lol
That's the material we've seen but not on a car like that lol
What is your beef with reflective tape?
No Way don’t give him any ideas.
You're gonna wrap those peices in gold... aren't you...?
Rekcuf690 i think it’s forged Carbon
I thought wood tbh
How about converting the car to push button start/keyless entry?
focused313 I’m pretty sure @dailydrivenexotics will give his to him for free so that he can plug his radar detector in again lol
Turning keys suck.. ive broken 2 Lexus keys in a year
@Brady Leighton lol ive only had one actual mechanical part break/give out. Other than that. No issues next to these damn keys
All I read was 'I RIPPED A FART' ... lol
💨
when lol
Best advice I ever received while working car audio was "If it feels like there is a screw still there, there is a screw still there. Keep looking for it."
Tavarish in his head: *plz don’t break plz don’t break plz don’t break*
Lmaooooooo I thought the same thing. You can almost hear the thought as he's pulling
OMG! you’re a brave man....”it doesn’t look that bad”....lol
This is very ambitious... best of luck with the build
If you think this is very ambitious, you don't want to know what his next project is.. 😂
Maybe you could install a keyless go System and add a start stop button instead of the ignition lock
This right here chief.
That's a great idea
That or just buy a replacement ignition switch with matching key and fob; shouldn't be the greatest of your expenses.
@@Digital-Dan its a lambo
Try "undelete" the usb key. You can use recuva, is free. Maybe you can find something. Don't put anything in usb before.
good Idea!
It's Recuva.
@@fiereke sorry. I am a little dumb sometimes.
That switch panel is for diagnosing the lift system( hydraulic koni shocks)
Tavarish, everytime I watch your "episodes", I get happy. When you talked about the trial and error of your time spent working on cars, it gives me confidence. I can't wait to do re/builds of my own. ❤🚗
theres no age to young. everyone needs car stuff done. you need to take the leap. if you dont know then you may never
Leather to leather may squeak. I'd stick with the cloth behind the seat.
i would do the part behind the seat in alcantara so that when you rub your seat against it it doesn't squeak like leather would
RE 4:58 : Many two seat vehicles like pickups and sports cars have passenger airbag defeat switches so that a child car seat can be safely installed in the front passenger seat. It's not "Lamborghini in the mid-2000s", it's "nearly every car company with air bags and no rear seats in the 1990s to today". The Ford F-150, Toyota Tacoma, Porsche Boxster/Cayman, Mazda Miata, and apparently Lamborghinis all have them.
100% this. My MR2 had the same thing.
yes..all italian cars have that switch on or in the dash...a child seat is put in reverse on the seat and u have to turn off the airbag otherwise the child get crushed
in europe this is standard, i have 7-seater from 2008 and it has switch for passenger airbag too, i have never seen car without one
Love this video, interior restos are always satisfying. Can’t wait to see the finished results
12:30 SURPRISE ITS THE GOLD TAPE
Eric Doe it’s Carbon fiber

Yanking out a Lamborghini dashboard, I like it! 💪🤙
When stuff doesn't work, use brute force. If brute force fails, use more brute force.
That Koni diagnose switch is for the front lift system. It definetly is dealer level assembly.
The Drl/Usa switch means Daytime running lights. Some countrys like the US require them.
The Koni Diagnostics are for shock diagnostics
Need make video for explaining them
CutOut Diagnosis could that be for he the engine goes on limp mode?
Actually the US does not require use of DRL. the DRL/USA is the switch positions. in the USA position DRL is turned off
You should try and do a data recovery on that usb first before you put anything on it.
On your way to 1M subs! Love the channel man!!
Your channel is one of very few, I like better each time I watch it. Thx cousin for the effort, you put into each one. 👍
Send the key and ignition switch to Lock Picking Lawyer
You should replace the wheel with a modern Lamborghini one
Very inspirational Tavarish!!! Keep going!!!
The lockpickinglawyer will be able to fix that ignition lock!
Just for curiosity you can try to recover data using free recover lost data software from the disk on key
A good program for that is “recuva”
YungMurcie exactly
That dash is going to be painful to get back in.
And will have a lot of noise when back in
Na, they are easier going back in.
So sick, wish you all the best can't wait to see that mystery material
My god your amazing bro . To have the patience to get this done n your spyder running simply amazing . You earned my sub
You shoulda put in the cd and screen audio system so you can play fate of the furious while you drive. Or just have the sceen the cars in the movie on replay so at car shows people could see. Just a cool idea 👍🏻
Tomorrow is Friday you better discuss the Camaro, Lexus, and McLaren in the back lol
True.
Still waiting on that burned Ferrari
Hoovies McLaren?

Dude you have the best plugs. Appreciate you my brotha.
Sooo, orange car, added stereo system, re-doing interior, changing it to RWD... Mighty Car Mods just had a car like this called 2WISTED :) lol - All joking aside, awesome project man, keep going, it will be worth it when it's done :)
and they bough it for way more money than the previous white car by the same manufacturer, which they took a bunch of ugly mods off, and rebuilt the turbo system on.
Man T I appreciate what you do so much man! Who do you know that just pulls everything out of a car and not worry about putting it all back together! All that wiring and putting back bolts etc would drive me insane ☠️
Very impressive- and inspiring for my own projects that intimidate me a little.
The car is light but my ❤️ is heavy with happiness
The passenger airbag key-switch was also present in my 2017 Peugot 208. And my current Chevy' Aveo 1.2 from 2013
The LP640 has an upgraded dvd navigation. Will you be switching the double din alpine for the navigation from Seicane like you did with the Gallardo?
the DRL/USA switch is to enable/disable daytime running lights, which are not mandatory everywhere
its probably a dealer level config for cars sold in different regions
It's an 03, DRL's weren't a thing back then in vast majority of countries, not to mention, where would the DRL's even go on an 03 Murci?
Now that you have stripped the interior, you should apply sound skin!
That switch is a Fuse diagnosis switch. It is used to cut power to certain power accessories when it is switched on to eliminate them as a source of voltage. Koni is for the shocks, DRL is for the lights and Cutout has to do with the rest of the electrical charging system.
I think it’s heroic, what this fellow is doing. Astonishing, very entertaining. Thx.
3am in Australia
Tavarish New video , sleep hahah!
This build is going to take you to the next level. Very interested in this.
Hey Tavarish, awesome videos, very entertaining and also inspirational for those who wanna get into diy'ing their cars or whatever. Here's a little pro tip on the Airbag "on/off switch" that you weren't aware of. It is there for those situations, when for example you put a baby seat/carriage seat in, especially the one where the baby is facing backwards, head towards the front. At that point, you would manually switch the passanger airbag off, because in the event of a crash, the airbag would smash into the boosterseat, and the babies' head, killing the child or causing massive cranial damage or in case of a booster, break the childs legs as they do not fold downwards but are more straight towards the front.
It is a mandatory safety feature on all european cars and essentially, you cannot fasten a child into the front seat with a child seat/carriege/booster, if the airbag cannot be switched off, infact you could get fined for that, big time!
The murcielago is an excellent rwd car. Great project! such a tight area to work in. Great job!!
MEGACHAD it’s actually only an awd car not rwd.
Yes, I didn't imply they come from the factory rwd. You turn them into RWD cars by deleting the torque tube and putting in SV stub axles from a diablo. Or taking apart the cv joints on the front end. So what I was saying to tavarish is, it is an excellent rwd car once converted. Because he mentioned he will be converting it to rwd..
MEGACHAD this isn’t a diablo.
I am very well aware of that. I have owned 6 murcielago's as well and I know what I am talking about.
The diablo and the murcielago are almost identical cars power train and chassis wise. That is why the diablo stub axle's work in the murcielago.
switch for airbag is there if you want to install child seat.
In your two seat Lamborghini... Lol.
@@GeorgeS1 it may seem silly but it's a legal requirement for all cars (in Europe at least) and I bet someone, somewhere has fitted a child seat in their lambo....
Nevermind the fact that the transmission isn't bolted in. But the stereo sounds great
omg dude theres so much stuff you have to put together again :-O good luck man ill be following along
Yes man, good progress!
If you put leather on the rear panel instead of cloth, your seats will rub on it and it will squeak.
little know fact : LAMBORGHINI MURCIELAGO is italian for hard to reach bolts ..
In all fairness Murcielago is a Spanish word.
Of course it's a Spanish word, they use the name of bulls to name some of their car, like Gallardo
lmao

Hi Mr. T.Im a fan and also a previous interiaor manager in car industrie in Scandinavia. I heard you menationed that you were thinking of leater on the surface that today where textiel. Just a tip there, a leather surface that touches another leatersurface will create a squec noise when driving due to fricton so keep texteil on the back area. Just a tip. Best regards from Sweden Tom.
Hey man great work! What about the steering wheel? It looks like it needs recovered. Keep up the amazing work and content!
Freddy, you should use Alcantara.... It looks and feels gorgeous
Pretty sure that was what he's hinting at.
that airbag switch on the side is for babyseats so your baby won't get launched while it goes off.
I love your vids keep up the great work
I am always amazed by your fearlessness in tackling these things. I'd be scared out of my wits trying to remove the interior from a V12 Lamborghini (or, for that matter, a Ford Focus).
Oh i miss the days when there was new tavarish video every couple of days.. And now they are back!
If you dont get back to the SL55, I WILL self harm... 😂
That car is how I found this channel
@The Stigs Romanian Cousin that is the next step 😭😭😭
I like how you are doing the interior. Perforated leather centers would be great. Also leather behind the seat with leather around the speaker box.
another great vid man. can't believe you completely stripped the interior by yourself, that is insane.
I know when you are done fixing up this car it will be one sweet ride.
Please don’t make it rear wheel drive! Are you going to do the carpet cause it looks rough. Yes redo all the interior including the rear parts.
Fabulous work, awesome video, Great stuff just one tiny thing, again this is just a personal perspective, that woofer and audio system should not be there. One it's just heavy two if you have that thundering V12 why would you want an Audio system, anyways this project is simply amazing loved it.. .
I love that at the beginning your drill looks like it's putting a hole in your leather. Probably wasn't but keep up the good work and vids.
Hi for the ignition lock get hold of Bosnian bill or lock picking lawyer from you tube. Love the builds
I was going to suggest the Lock Picking Lawyer, as well. He seems to be a savant with locks.
The material we've seen, but never seen on a car like that - You're going to 'accent' the interior in gold tape aren't you?
I think he will install a digital dashboard and a modern screen in the middle of the cockpit
Your starting to become a KRplus God I really enjoy your videos man
My 2018 SEAT Ibiza, which canes from VW group also, has the airbag turn on and off in the side of the dash as well, and it’s supposedly for times when you know nobody is going to be on the passenger seat, and in the event of a crash the airbag won’t deploy, so if is not a big crash you can sabe an airbag.
well the dash and center console wont be done in gold tape, because we have seen that in your other Lamborghini. So I think its going to be sticky backed plastic in wood grain effect.
ALL will be in gold tape. It's for the best....and flames. (real flames)
@@andytaylor1588 NOOOOooooooooo 🤦♂️ You could be right. 😏👍👌
what you doing with the Camaro???
Hey man, I remember asking someone at Lamborghini about the key in the side of the dash, I believe it is to disable the airbag for when you had a kid in the passenger seat.
Tavarish would make feel like you are the one doing the fix. So detailed.
Put Episode numbers on these videos!
Am I the only one to ask or mention that you should not usually have a bunch of keys and weight on the key in the ignition ?
p.s. Love your videos and love what you do!!
That is most likely why the keychain normally goes on the middle. It's closer to the pivot point when the key is in the ignition, so it has less of a chance to bend from weight.
What I kind of meant was; I don't know the number of cars that have had both problems and recalls due to ignition problems from just the remote constantly hanging and swinging from the ignition. I don't know about you guys, but I have never seen a key like that.
Great vid Tavarish! Removing instrument panels is such a pain! The whole assembly typically has its own micro-assy area at the OEM. They assemble the substrate, finish panels, electronics etc to the cross car beam and then the whole sub-assy is decked into the vehicle. Usually they're installed with a robotic assist arm that can actually position AND shoot all the mounting bolts. The thing looks like something of a Terminator movie. TLDR: IPs are a PITA to remove...but not impossible.
Ill come back in 2 years when you manage to put this thing back together :) Joking.. great work man!
how do you keep all the nuts and screws organised for reinstallation??
tupperware
Easy, you put them all away in specifically marked Tupperware... then you lose them all and try to get new ones from Lamborghini:)
I only ever work on motorcycles so seeing a car come apart with so many pieces removed and millions of wires hanging out everywhere it just seems like a huge task to keep it all organised
1:05 You need to fly up Mark The Guttersnake to help you out...

Great work .. but i think u need to ditch the 70$ radio for a double din or an android radio .. like u did on the Gallardo .. and you need to change the dull look of the steering wheel .. may be like the SV steering wheel.. can't wait to see the updates ..
