I remember loving this song so much when I was a teen. Because that kind of relationship is what you want at that age. A relationship full of passion even if it’s toxic (not that you realize that’s what it is) and now that I’m 26 I look back and it feels so different. I can see that 15 year old and how much I’ve grown.

People don't act normal when they're in love. Or would it be more accurate to say that being in love makes someone their truest self?

I've listened this song at different points of my life, but only recently have I been stuck on the bad end of it. I am a stable man, got my life together, treat this girl I'm trying not to fall head over heels from like she deserves and I'm trying to be there for her and everyone around her, I try my utmost to be the figure of a "perfect" man (if such a thing can even exist), but I can see the verses and bridge of this song happening to me real time. I think it's mostly up to us being at different points in our lives, where she still craves that thrill and excitement from a relationship, where I've had my fill of drama, fights and want to be a rock where she can rely on. This song gives me comfort, as I see things from her end, but also wrenches my gut because I see I could be heading nowhere in a one way trip to get hurt.
