@@leanne8271 the original meaning of the song was that her old record label, big machine records, had a "breakthrough" because she won a couple awards for her debut album. it was incredibely small and taylor was the only one that signed into it. over the years she realized that this was a mistake cuz of she is now free from her old record label that heavily restricted her and now she gets to own all her albums with these rerecordings! hence why these things have "changed"

Have you heard of Kate Bush? Im not sure at what age exactly, but I believe I heard she wrote some amazing songs as a teenager, and became famous for it (after another famous singer heard her music and helped her get it out there). But after a couple years she stopped doing tours and concerts and dropped the whole famous singer lifestyle bc it wasn’t why she started writing music. Im not sure if you would be a fan of her music, as it’s quite different to Taylor’s, but check it out if you want! :)
