This is the song of me and my childhood best friend. When we were kids, her parents got divorced and she moved away. That was a super hard time for us because we only had ourselves as friends. When I first listened to this in 2008, it reminded me so much of us. In 2009 she moved back to our hometown. We went through some traumatic events during our teenage years. She’s a singer and last week during my birthday she performed this song and we both started crying. We’ve been friends for 20 years now and this is our song ❤️ Thank you, Taylor. I really feel like I can’t breathe without my childhood best friend. She knows me better than anyone else and understands everything.

I remember when I was 10 I used to listen to this song a lot while looking out the window. Now I’m 20 and *finally* understand the lyrics as they’re now relatable. Melancholy but a refreshing, yet painfully realistic state of moving on.
The first time I heard this song, I was 9½, 10ish years old, and my grandfather just passed away. At 22, I know this song is about a different type of loss, but it is still a potent song for me.
No one's talking about how spectacular this lyric video is. It depicts Taylor(or the viewer) trying not to drown,gasping for air to "breathe". And in the end,the sky is reached.

I remember listening to the Fearless album nonstop back in 2008 thinking I'd never get over my ex. Now I'm married to my husband and feel grateful when I hear this music instead of feeling sad like I did back then. Grateful that I got through that time of my life when I thought everything was over simply because of a boy who never deserved me. The Fearless album got me through the healing process and I'm glad she was able to re-record all these songs on her own terms this time.

Taylor was one few artists me and my brother enjoyed listening to together in high school and “Fearless” was one of his favorites. It’s been almost 3 years since I had to breathe without him. I’m still breathing and it’s still not easy but it’s getting there. Thank you Taylor for your amazing songs and the wonderful memories I have attached to each and every one. My older brother bought me Fearless and was super cute about relating to me. My first ever music album that was my own. He passed away shortly after and this brings back SO many memories!! ❤️❤️❤️
