Monica is so fucking sweet, even when she was so stressed about her parents coming, she makes sure everyone helps Rachel in finding the ring. Even listens so Ross so intently!
You cant pick between Monica and Rachel. They both are so f--kin good! A lot of ppl easily tilt towards either side based on the personalities of Monica/Rachel, but to me, both of them are exceptionally good character sketches and played spectacularly by Courteney and Jennifer!

@Ilovesuperman I don't think Carol was an integral part of the group. In the episode with the flashback I remember Ross saying Carol first started hanging out with Susan because she didn't have any close friends like Ross did.

I'm amazed by the way the writers managed to successfully introduce the most delicate issues into the show with sentences like that one, without stirring controversy.

Great catch!! The show was so new then, you can tell by little thing from set design to improper cuts like the one you caught.
@@Thevampireprincess61 There's a scene in Ross' apartment where a stunt door was accidentally left open! It's so obvious because it's cut diagonally so the camera operator can get the arm mount into the room or peek around corners. Sorry, cannot remember what episode it was but this does happen several times through the series.
That long pause between “Boys” and “We’re going in” is brilliant.
Chandler's sarcasm is all over the place in this scene. Chandler makes the show.
Rachel was so supportive, even though she had her own crap. I laughed when Rachel touched the pillow and Pheebs said ( don't touch that.).

Monica's comments about her parents and Ross make so much more sense later in the series when her dad tells her that she was an accident. Clearly they had Ross and decided one kid was what they wanted and that was it until Judy became pregnant again and for whatever reason went through with it. They chose to have Ross, they got stuck with Monica. So they were harder on her to make it worth it. I'm hoping this was unintentional instead of resentful.
Now I know where I get my sarcasm...from Chandler.

Phoebe is gorgeous. I never realized how pretty she was back in the arly episodes.
You know, it really is rather a credit to Susan and Carol’s relationship that they were excited about this unexpected pregnancy just springing up out of nowhere in their new life together. They had only been together less than a month, since Carol would have gotten pregnant while she and Ross were still married. It wouldn’t have been shocking if it was too much too soon for Susan, but nah. Right away, she was 110% in it with Carol.
You've got a point since Ross didn't seem to thrilled to find out he was going to be a father. I feel like he got more plugged in out of jealousy over Susan than for actually wanting the baby.
I think there was an overlap for Carol with Ross and Susan. It's possible that she was having an affair with Susan while being married to Ross for a while, figuring she'll remain in the closet and Ross will never find out. Susan might have convinced her to come out after getting tired of sneaking around.
They were together more than a month since Carol was cheating with her for months and before she and Ross divorced they were separated for a while so...

In retrospect, Carol is lucky that Ross didn't take her to court fight for custody of Ben. One of the main things that I didn't like about how they treated the situation is that they acted like it was a teenage pregnancy or a one night stand with unexpected results. It irritates me.
