Holy fck i love this game. Mortdog and the entire TFT team never disappoints, i'm so excited to get more details of next set but until then i have a 3 stars dragon's list to complete
In short:
- 2 augments per unit
- Aphelios 200 years of game developement imported into TFT
- ADMIN combinations will be fun
- tons of scaling-up and economy traits
- Star guardian Lux and Ahri little legends will make me broke
Depending on how strong unit-augments are, forcing certain comps might get harder, so either learn flexing or learn a lot of comps.
(Hopefully there isn't many traits like Lagoons / Astrals / Pirates Greed / Olaf that aren't viable if not fielded in early stages)
I have a feeling admin will be needed early for on cast or on death stuff
@@kuro1653 depends on what you want to do with it right if its for econ yeah but if its like gain ad on ally death or sth. like that it could be well in late game aswell

That star guardian arena looks amazing, love 'everything goes on'
one of the reasons Galaxies felt so rich, is because the skinlines/origins were so contrastingly different, but they could all unite under a common banner. i feel like you guys have successfully brought that magic back again here too!
This looks like some fun stuff. I wanted to create something to the idea of hero type augments in a fan set but it seemed like a nightmare to balance. Great stuff here; I'm looking forward to it!

I'm interested in seeing how the offerings for these augments will be and if your hero unit is so good that you could run them in a different comp, or if you're just completely screwed if all three (or six if you can reroll) choices don't fit your comp at all and you have to do some kind of psycho pivot to keep up

I don't think I have ever been more excited for a set up until this reveal. In previous sets, although I was excited, I held the opinion of "There will still be an extremely narrow meta" without fail. This time, I struggle to see there BEING such an easily defined meta as 1 or 2 builds with how many options you have this time around. I'm stoked!

Feels so good to be a part of a community with so much developer interaction! Many games have tried to implement this kind of communication in the past (I'm thinking of Overwatch), and I always felt a bit underwhelmed. But this video was a banger! Thank you dev team for making a game I feel comfortable being addicted to :)

Ok if augments are going to be permanant can we please get a cosmetic that allows you to change your augment statue have the hextech one for base then a dragonlands based one for those who played set 7, then for set 8 have maybe a sparkling one, after that make one based off of each set

@@xqt6339 So in what way is an optional cosmetic predatory? In gacha games the cosmetics give in game stat boosts, thats why the monetization schemes are shitty. So if Riot puts a pretty TFT map behind loot boxes, you're not incentivized to participate unless you accept that it'll cost you a lot to receive it. So, you either accept or reject the method required to receive the cosmetic, which again in a *competitive* game gives no advantage.

Pretty simple really.
Say someone wants to purchase Chibi Ashe and Chibi Dragonmancer Ashe:
- Chibi Ashe is a flat rate 1900RP, but you can't just purchase 1900RP, you need to purchase the 2525RP bundle.
- So Chibi Ashe is priced at essentially $23.69US (plus some random stuff for less than 600RP)
-Chibi Dragonmancer Ashe is a loot box drop with a drop rate of 2%
- One egg costs 390RP is $5.38USD
- If someone was to open one egg for 390RP it would take 36 Eggs to statistically be more likely to get an egg than it would be to not get one
- 390RPx36=14040RP
-11525RP($107.74US)+2525RP($23.69US)=$131.43 just to have a 51% likliness to open a Chibi Dragonmancer Ahse
Now what about bundles?
- Most efficient bundle is 31 Eggs for 10530RP
- Chance of hitting Dragonmancer Ashe in 31 Eggs? 46.7%. 62 Eggs? 71.4%. 93 Eggs? 84.7%.
- How many eggs does it take to get to 99% (Near Perfect)? 114 Eggs.
- Do the math for each one and we get:
$104.74 = 46.7%
$209.48 = 71.4%
$314.22 = 84.7%
Someone could realistically drop $314.22 and STILL not get the Dragonmancer Chibi that they want, as opposed to someone else who can get base Chibi Ashe for $23.69
If you don't think cosmetics can be predatory than Idk what to say.

This set looks super cool! really excited for this set!
No words how excited I am about this set! I am so happy that Augments stay, and better yet become a core mechanic of TFT, I couldn't imagine the game without them yet. While its is infuriating to have Rammus in the game, having a fresh new Mech in more than compensates for it.
I appreciate the love and care the team puts into this game that has now overtaken even League as a game I can enjoy solo.
I hope all the best with the launch, and that this wonderful game and team stick around.
These hero augments(and admin trait to a lesser extent) sound like a balancing nightmare. 2 per unit means there will be what, 80 of them? A ton of them will be near unpickable, and obviously some will just be OP. Also adds extreme rng, say it's 4-2 augment selection and I hit my 4 cost carry or a 5 cost on 4-1, then hit that units hero augment, isn't that just an automatic top 2 for no reason? And counter to that if someone has their endgame carry and instead of hitting their hero augment they hit one for some random 1 or 2 cost trait bot on their team?

Hmmm not sure i like the "augments forever" thing, it was exciting to see what new gimmicks they would add/change every set, but now everything is gonna be made around this old gimmick of picking 1 out of 3 choices every few rounds idk
