I'm a 48 years old woman admiring a Chinese artist in his twenties. I'm chuckling at MYSELF, I must be a nut letting myself get lost in something like this. BUT I find it worthwhile. I find my self captivated by the language and obvious sensitivity of the lyrics while sensing the depth and importance of what's being said because the message permeates through all the layers beautifully... WITHOUT understanding a SINGLE word (well, almost) .... and I'm loving it. I've followed HIM for over a year now and listened to HIS music and I can tell HE is growing. I'm glad he's shed the skin of a popboy, a mere boyband member. He's not just a Kpopper from China trying to hit it big on his own anymore. He's a full blooded artist and beginning to show his true colours. But HE seems beaten down in the vid, standing next to the sign "To The Airport" - is he trying to say its hard for him to make it in Korea as a foreigner? Does he feel alienated? He's wondered 'bout walking off hundreds of times? He's getting better and better in his private projects and its really showing. I hope (no, I KNOW!) he finds the courage and support enough to keep on 'cause he ain't just a pretty Chinese rapper in a Korean Kpop band anymore.. This song about the experience of being a solo artist and what it feels like is so spot on. He so obviously cherishes what he has with the boys, it's A LOT, and it was hard getting used to being a single artist but he's getting there - I remember reading about him mentioning it felt difficult at some point, but Jackson...You are not alone! WE'LL walk with you the rest of this cold and lonely road.
It's his life story it shows a dining table where he talked to his father about leaving an already established career in fencing and going all the way to S.Korea to pursue his music dreams. Then all the struggles that he had to endure and eventually overcome. There is also a poster in the MV titled "TEAMWANG", a Label which he established in 2017 on his own.❤ His entire life journey until now is really very inspiring. I'm not a kpoper (I don't like kpop) but Got7 just hits different from everything else, and each of this guys too! As Jackson has said each Got7 member is a unique and special colour from a beautiful rainbow that is the reason why I stan.
And Jack's colour is outstanding and amazing since day one! He's a king!

This one have so heavy meanings... I just saw the Olimpic symbol on the destroyed building and it felt like he dropped this or letf this apart, in his past, burried. See this in 2023 makes me cry. He isnt a strong man, he is a warrior. He fought too many battles to be on what he is now. As a fan from Brazil, South America I feel fcking blessed that this man is alive.

He left fencing and studies in China and came down the stairs (fencing masks on ground) , he came alone in Korea, he walked with unstable steps, for a time while, he reached a little fame (he climbed that car) but then again he fell down but this time he got up stronger and started walking again with courage starting the creation of Team Wang (the team wang label half hanging) and after a while, his walking became fully stable and Team Wang label is also now firmly attached. He is now hoping for a good and successful future. We can see pride in his eyes, cause he made it.
This is his story, his own story of making history. I am in tears.
Edit: we can also see there are 3 chairs left, his parents and brother's that means he already made decision and started his journey, we can also understand this by the airport sign.

Jackson was scouted by SM Entertainment during the 2008 Beijing Olympics but his parents didn't allow him to go to Korea because he was too young (14 years old). And then he was scouted by JYP Entertainment in 2011 but his parents still didn't want him to give up his bright future as an athlete (both his parents were national athletes).
Later Jackson's dad said that he will give him permission to pursue a music career in Korea if he wins gold in the next Asian Games. Jackson then went on to win gold in the individual and team fencing events WITH AN INJURED FOOT!
After his wins, Jackson told his parents that he still wants to go to Korea to do music, while having dinner one day - that's what the table with food represents. His parents were distraught because Jackson was leaving a successful professional fencing career (he was ranked 11th in the world!), the 2012 London Olympics, scholarships from Stanford University and the University of Hong Kong, and his family, to do music... The 3 teacups are for him and his parents.
Jackson's journey/story is truly incredible. He was destined for greatness whichever path he chose.
