I don't know if these highlights are AI generated or if there is an actual editor involved. Either way, I felt like they missed a lot of Medvedev's points during the reel. Seemed a little biased to only show Jarry winning all the points when clearly Meddy was holding his own, and won. Don't disrespect the Octopus like that now, c'mon!
no one actually cares about Medvedev
@@gackerman99i do
@@Masterdoctorgenius14 no you don't

Medvedev may move like a baby giraffe learning how to walk, but he covers the court so well and will wear his opponent down eventually.
What the? Nah. Cringe 😬
Good analogy! Baby giraffe is spot on
@@8020Aliveratio
I ask you for permission to call Octopus Baby Giraffe from now on coz I like that nickname
@@8020Alive bro what?
the second match was INSANE
Expecting another battle between Sinner vs Medvedev ❤
medvedev is my favourite player just because i wonder all time how he can win a single match at all
Mens tennis is very consistent almost all the four seeds are likely to join semifinals. What a consistency 🎉
Yes. The big four
Indeed and i wanna see how this changes (or not) in the clay court season. Hopefully with Novak and Rafa competing against them.
@@fred3r1kzverev not part of any big 4 😂
Hasn’t happened yet
@@Julian-qs8xq he is how are you so dumb? he is literally the 4rd seed
Jarry is surprisingly good at the net, seemed like a really entertaining contest 🙂
Jarry has a lovely net game❤
How can u disrespect our octopus guy like that with literally no highlights points from him😢
Machac played well, but Sinner was just scary good. Totally different player from a year ago.
Yeah, because you can't beat Sinner playing pure, fast power tennis. You need to be able to mix it up against Sinner, change the rhythm often. Not going strike for strike with your topspin bh or fh. Unfortunately for the Czech, his game and rhythm resemble that of Sinner's a lot. And Jannik is just better at it than him(or anyone for that matter). Only chance he had is if he caught Sinner on a bad day. Which didn't happen!
@@jay_kulinaGood observation. I was thinking similar too....for pure baseline rallies, there aren't many who can outlast Sinner. I saw Machac barely outlast Murray in the last game but I didn't see enough in his game to cause an upset against Sinner.
I can't unsee it now after the commentator said it, but Machac's backy really reminds me of Agassi.
Tennis TV AI highlights prompt: "Despite Medvedev winning the match 6-2, 7-6, make it look like Jarry kicked his butt."
Same with Rybakina's highlights posted by the WTA 😄
Has to do with meddis gamestyle. Not much spectacular. Waiting for opponents mistake or hitting a good serve.
@@valentinwidmann76 there’s a lot of beauty in playing defensive tennis as well. Gotta appreciate different styles and plays. Plus, it doesn’t always work like that since a lot of opponents just don’t miss and Daniil has to approach those type of matches with a different game plan. Thats what makes him a great player, his versatility and adaptability. He’d realized Jarry is really prone to making errors, so he just capitalised on that, why would he change the tactics that work pretty well against a certain player?
@@marchvertochko0056 Yes sure, you are right. I just talked about my personally preferred gamestyle, that's offensive tennis. It's a question of liking. Didnt want to offend anybody.
@@valentinwidmann76 all good, appreciate the comment and courtesy though!
Everyone may shit on Medvedev’s style but his footwork and overall movement is insane. Federer always said, the best players are the best movers.
Intense performance by Medvedev and Jarry. Such amazing tennis!
How far do you need to retuen the ball?
Meddy: Yes
Is remarkable how Medy can stay hours returning balls on the baseline. Simply a wall.
Jarry can do far more, just need to calibrate a little bit and clear is mind game!
Machac has a bright future ahead, went toe to to with sinner in the beginning of the first set. Sinner’s ability to adjust his game to different players is off the charts.
If I ever play Meddy imma hit 4-5 under arm serves every set.
Jarry service volley is very stressfull for medvedev
Shouldn't try to out rally Medvedev...have to take him to the net...which Jarry did but just not enough
He tried and it kinda worked but too bad
Unless you have the firepower that Sinner and Alcaraz possess! They mix in net game against him, especially Carlos, but they can beat Med without it. Their groundstrokes, when in rhythm, are too penetrating even for Daniil
this 100%. i don’t think Jarry is the smartest atp player but huge weapons. i feel like variety would help him a lot
Больше показывали, как Медведев проигрывал розыгрыши, а он в итоге победил!
True, this is stupid. Anyway, Octopus won, he's another level, all those guys suddenly rising with pure power like Jarry or Machac sounds like "doping rising" or "lucky moment" but when they face champions top 5 the class makes the difference.
A new big3 era is coming to light. Medvedev, Sinner, Alcaraz.
Rublev more consistent and better than all of them
Yeah that's why he never wins against them @andersjohanagren
@@ismailedoomun8006 well, he has beaten them all (Sinner and Medvedev he has beaten twice)
@@andersjohanagren The H2H between Sinner and Rublev is 5-2, but both of Sinner's losses were injury retirements, so Rublev never won
@@francescojsb well, he kind of did.
I really think that the man without a flag too would deserve a crowd cheering for him once in a while
i left two sites and one youtuber because they removed flags. It is a form of collective punishment and we all know where such philosophies lead to.
I agree but in Miami people were cheering for the latin guy, no matter who he is playing against
@@amadeusmozzart Yes but the issue is not Miami. The fact is, he will never have the opportunity to have a crowd cheering for him. Because in the best case scenario (like today in Miami) there will be an opponent with a large following of screaming compatriots, which for obvious reasons he will never have. At worst there will be idiots bullying at him based on prejudice.
It has been seen many times, there is no denying it. This bothers me no matter what, but especially for him because he really doesn't deserve it
You are right!
As he said, he experienced worse than Miami. AO 2022 was the worst, bullied by the crowd in the matches against Nick, FAA, Tsitsipas, then finally got crushed during the match against Nadal. It took him one total year to get back to the top
Medvedev just declared that next match he'll return serves from outside the court.
Alcaraz or Sinner will eat him up with net play
@@Jay-dm4id Alcaraz can play at the net but not Sinner.
@@AA-le9lsSinner isn't bad at the net recently. Of course Alcaraz is better
Jarry is underrated, a very good player.
a little variety would help him reach the next level. great player already
Jarry is truly amazing
Nice tennis from Jarry. Very pleasant to watch.
Oh wow jarry is actually taller than meddy 😮
Nope,they are both 1,98 m tall.
Camera angle
Both of them are midgets compared to Karlovic, Isner and Opelka.
@@AnnaYess You got that from the google and google got that from ATP website. The issue is ATP listed heights are consistently wrong and not standardized. Players send their own measurements and some measures with shoes and some without.
With Meddy, he always looks shorter when he plays against others who are actually 6'5 or 6'6. There is a good chance his listed height is wrong
And his shoulders are twice as wide 😯
Medvedev returns serves from so far back its insane
Jarry played some fantastic tennis this tournament, nothing to be ashamed of
Great Tennis Nicolas Jarry, go on!!!! And congrats to Medvedev.
A new body type has emerged...6 foot four inches and thin as a rail.
Long reach and lightness. Less agility/equilibrium though.
Yeah. Injuries curtailed heavier guys like Safin and Del Potro. Maybe these lighter guys might have longer careers. When Safin and Delpo were on, they were unbeatable.
It is true. Although I feel like Sinner has put on a couple of pounds of muscle in the last year. The same cannot be said of Medvedev who, even if it sounds impossible, it almost seems to have lost weight tò me
I wss thinking the same thing about Med. He looks thinner, balder, and strangely older.
@@aaronaragon7838 When he is destroyed by tiredness after the mach, he also seems strangely balder and older to me. Then, however, when he is more relaxed in interviews, he seems young and "hairy" as always, but definitely thinner...and he already seemed dangerously thin to me.
I hope he is ok !!
Jarry got inside Medvedev's head in the second set, so Med had to win it on sheer skill.
Wow...Jarry put up one hell of a fight.😒😣
I love it when the losers wipe his hand on his greasy sweaty hair, then shake the winner's hand. 😂
Then the winner wipes that hand on the loser's chest to get back at him. 😂😂
@@Birdylockso then they both shake the umpire's hand.
Jarry was 5-3 in the tiebreak 😢
Sinner has played so good in 2024
1:07 no one mentioning this point… wow
Wow the match was insane by jarry . . Congrats for mdvedev👏🎾
why i cant find highlights of marozsan de minaur match? Someone know whats going on?
Medvedev vs Sinner LETS GO ! 💥💥💥
The 360 degree swerve of Med’s rackets after he hits a forehand
Jarry technique 's so slow and calm 😂
Medvedev might be at his best against Sinner to avenge the AO open final defeat. But he needs to play at his highest level.
Loved it!
I like Jarry's game - he lumbers around the court a bit as you might expect for a big man but has great touch around the net.
players are equally good but consistency is the key
According to google Jerry and Medvedev are the same height! WHO IS LYING HERE?!?! look at them next to each other at the handshake
Jarry 2m, Medvedev 1,96
It's Meddy. He always looks shorter when he plays against others who are actually 6'5 or 6'6. There is a good chance his listed height is wrong
@@ewic5326There's a good chance that its listed weight is also wrong. There's no way he weighs more than 80kg. He is a twig
Jarry played well. What a match. I love Medvedev
Jarry won a lot of points at the net but still lost, although it was as close as it gets. Medvedev kept his cool.
Meddy had some clutch serving on important points
Sinner's managed to beat Medvedev recently but I feel like it's Daniil's time this week. I think they're both great so I don't mind but definitely looking forward to the match.
Sinners confidence is intimidating😂
Sinner Med. Epic
Jarry could be new Delpo , fantastic player
Sinner will destroy Medvedev, unless Meddy plays like in the first two sets of the AO final. But he hasn’t played like that since then.
Great Daniil👏💪🥎
The Sinner-Medvedev semifinal is going to be interesting! I think it will depend especially on the quality of Sinner's first serve...
Good consistency from Medvedev. just gotta put in the extra extra performance to beat Sinner/Alcaraz. Those two are just holding him up when it comes to title wins.
hopefully, he gets one this time. 🙏🏽
The best were the cozy seats of the spectators. I’ve never seen such a great seats in any other sport.
Finally someone challenged the octopus and beat him at the net. Should’ve done it in the first set.
Джарри кажется просто "умер" физически под конец матча 😂😂😂
Sinner will be another level just like Alcaraz
He already is.
10:55 bro in the bottom right had a parlay on medvedev or something he looked pissed that he missed this forehand 😂
Big Sinner !! Go & Go !!!
Medi is tough like iron
Medvedev is always the chess player on the court. He can loose only if 1) he thinks that it's boring. 2) lost concentration of his math calculations
Smart play of sinner makes difference
11:32 - How tall is Jarry? He is taller than Medvedev, although Google says that they are both 1.98
Организм человека растёт до 26 лет. Jarry всего 15 лет 😅😅😅это не предел😂
Camera angle is going to make him look a bit bigger there, but he does seem a tad taller. They tend to not update the height listings after they turn pro, so if someone is still growing their height might be a bit off.
Keep in mind that anyone can make edits on wikipedia. I can write that they're both 1.65 and it will be shown there until someone edits it back.
@@gablan1468 On wikipedia, but on ATP cards not everyone can make edits
I think Medvedev is 1.96, he is also a little smaller than Zverev.
У медведя такие размажистые удары справа что кажется ракетка больше в полтора раза чем у др...нас ждёт супер противостояние и повторение финала австралиан!
Anyone know what happened at 1:44
Double hit? Hard to tell tho.
Ball bounced twice on Sinners side
Those seats look really comfy. Like cinema seats. They must be the most comfy seats at any tennis tournament. The way Sinner is able to change direction of his backhand at any time is amazing. His opponents don't know where it's going next.
Love meddy bear❤❤
Jarry's fan edited this highlights
Medvedev might have defeated Jarry convincingly, but Jarry's performnce was definitely top 10 worthy. Gotta watch out for this guy this year. He's going to be dethroning several overrated top 10 players on his way to the top tier.
Medvedev is so consistent 🔥🔥🔥
Med highlights r less bcoz he scored only fivr winners. Ultimate pusher
According to Tennis TV, Jarry gave Medvedev the match 6-2 7-6.
Yes, they only put him in the spotlight when he does one of his crazy things. Shame on them!
My only worry with Sinner is his body movement especially in backhand. He may not last very long before his back may start to be failing him
Если судить по нарезке Медведев проиграл 0-6, 0-6.😅
Video:jarry win
Result :Medvedev win 😂😂
after changing the net rules to accomodate for what hurkacz was doing, there should also be a new rule introduced to restrict moaning to the moment of striking. these moans waaaay after the strike, ranging into the concentration phase of the opponent, strangely often happening during big points... that is NOT ok!
How do you play a match like that and lose 6-4, 6-2?
bad highlight clips, med doesnt win flashy but he wins
Machac had an impressive run but the difference in rankings shows when he's playing top 3 in the world
IN FINAL MEDVEDEV SHOULD BE BEAT SINNER... MEDVEDEV VERY LOVELY PLAYER
Why Jarry is so much taller at the handshake? Is he over 2 meter tall?
He looks to be about 6’9” based on their height difference
7:45 That ball kid technically stopped play before the ball was dead.
7:44 the ball kid intercepting the ball mid flight
Medvedev...just love you
Another Sinner vs Medvedev..has become a classic😂
incrivel como medvedev domina a quadra, ele joga como se fosse durar a vida toda.
Jerry lost that match, too nervous , too many unforced errors . He has all the tools to take down Medvedev .
Inducing unforced errors in the opponent is Medvedev's specialty. It's simply his way of playing and the weapon with which he has remained in the top 5 of the ATP circuit for years. You as a spectator have the impression that the opponent is playing badly and making too many mistakes, in reality it is Medvedev who is directing the game and playing his cards as best as he can. For many it remains a difficult enigma to understand, but it is an enigma that works perfectly
Can someone please tell me. At the end of the game, when players walk to the net for the handshake.
Why do they drive their hands through their sweaty hair and shake their nasty sweaty hands right after.
Is this supposed to be wild or what do I miss? 😂
It's not that common but indeed Jarry's sweat swipe was rather brazen 😅
They try to fix their hair because of the cap they wore (like Khachanov often does), so their hair won't look as messy before the cameras. I would assume it's just a bad habit.
The opponent's hands are not that much cleaner either, so let's just say they don't care about it too.
Haha yeah I noticed that also for a while now, but I think as though both are sweating so much, it doesn’t matter anymore 😂
Jannik is unstoppable this season
Tremendous this season not unstoppable, Alcaraz just beat him the other day.
Medvedev is gna beat him this time.
Alcaraz has entered the chat
Until Alcaraz comes to his way
Alcaraz destroyer of dreams
Medvedev ha vinto ma nella sintesi fanno vedere in larga maggioranza i punti di Jarry ...
Sinner’s level is on another planet entirely right now.
Скушай кое-что, и ты будешь на другом уровне...
First semifinal correctly predicted
Sinner 6-4 6-2 Machac
Medvedev 6-2 7-6 Jarry
So here's a question: at 7:44 the ball kid catches the ball mid-air before it hits the wall or bounces again (it wouldn't, I know). How is that allowed but in the same scenario if you touch the net you lose the point?
They do that all the time
1:07 choke of the day
Easy win for Sinner 🔥
I guess Jarry/Medvedev was a more exciting match. I must say I had to double check the final score, as from the highlights it looked like Jarry won. You know I love you, Tennis TV, but this isn't fair
