Everyone who loves Tennis, loves when Grigor is in the zone. He still has one the most beautiful game.
Yeah, it always has been one of my favorites, I like so much Auger-Aliassime's style too
So we now know what prime federer would do to alcaraz
"out-of-prime Federer"
Yeah we know that by winning two atp matches with alcaraz will still not be enough to win a title
Federer has never played as well as Dimitrov did tonight
@@maxivic1584you are delusional
@@maxivic1584i take that you are from serbia cus there is “vic” in your username so no wonder why 😂
Dimitrov hitting down those lines today like he was doing a sobriety test.
😂😂😂
dimitrov beating a very in-form alcaraz and being at his best is a huge W for tennis
Not to take anything away from Dimitrov, but I don't think Alcaraz is at his best. The Alcaraz that won a slam would beat this one.
@@myheartspitsjust wanted to point out that he literally just won Indian Wells and seemed to be in rly good form entering Miami
Perhaps yes in a best of 5 match. Alcaraz 2nd serve was attacked. This is a strategy I suggested versus A!caraz a long time ago. And he used it to perfection. Dimitri was moving beautifully and reading the drop shot very well. Basically he was dealing n the zone. Nobody can beat a top player if they are in this "zone" And if you have 2 great players in the zone well you get one of the best matches of all time.
@@myheartspits ?
@@nicholasdemetriades9154 Only Dimitrov was really in the zone today and he kept
Alcaraz smartly out of it:)
Sometimes Alcaraz used too much topspin forehands and Dimitrov cleverly
attacked it straight away and took advantage

Who cannot help but grin when Grigor plays a match like that?! Shades of the SABR, he was all over Carlito’s second serve. An elegant, brilliant victory ✌️
You clearly sound a Noob to tennis. Sure, Dimitrov happened to be “on” but Alcaraz seemed extremely fatigued during this match!
A master performance by Dimitrov against an in-form Alvarez.
Sadly, he plays Zverev against which he doesn't have such a great H2H.
@@akifm6160 Dude in case my profile picture doesn’t make it obvious I started playing tennis with an aluminium Prince, before wide body racquets were even conceived. Jog on! Grigor played a hell of a match. You don’t have to be John McEnroe to see that! SMH
@@akifm6160Extremely fatigued? What make you think that because from what I saw he was in regular form, just got totally outplayed.
@@newbro amen… Carlos himself said that ‘he made me feel like I was 13 years old, it was crazy..’. Funny when the player has more humility than his fans, eh?
dmitrov v alcaraz is closest we can get to seeing Alcaraz vs Fed
Or Federer vs Nadal
You're right. I wished we really see one match between fed and alcaraz. But it's just a dream
Absolutely

had to check if this was Miami 2024 again, couldn't be happier for Dimitrov
Haha.. me too..watched last year's dimi vs alcaraz before getting here
Channel guy baited us with that vid from last year lmao!! 🤣🤣
It's crazy that Federer's aggressive style is an effective way to defeat Alcaraz on fast courts. Dimitrov did it flawlessly.
Congrats and good luck, Grigor!
That's not Federer style it's like saying Federer copied Sampras and Sampras copied Mcenroe and so on
Thing is, this court is not fast. It’s a bit quicker than IW but still slow which should suit Alcaraz… but against that style he was toast
A retired Federer with this gameplan would have sent Carlitos home packing in 6-1 6-2.
Glad Dimitrov showed us some of his magic.
I was looking for this comment. Good eye and analysis.
The aggressive receiving stance was the key, with Grigor flawless control.
just took the word out of my mouth😀....yep Fed takes the ball even earlier, better forehand, more confidence and accuracy...he could have bageled him and get bored in the meantime and loose😀@@Karen_McAlllister
Dimitrov came into that match with a plan, and executed it to perfection. That's high-IQ, veteran tennis. He knew he wouldn't win playing his normal Dimitrov tennis, so he changed it up and befuddled the kid. Bravo.
Grigor once again channeling that supreme Japanese Michelin star chef level slicing ❤❤❤
Seeing Grigor win in Brisbane after not claiming a title for so long was a beautiful moment. Glad to see he's still holding that form and producing performances like this! More titles for Dimitrov!
So great to see grigor doing well. He really has dialed his game in the last 12-15 months. You just can't help but root for him even though I love watching alcaraz play. What a great match
He's on TRT.
@lucaantonelli1511 They're all drug tested, stop this nonsense
Marozsan Good Adding in Current Tennis ❤❤❤❤
Loving Marozsan's game. So good to watch and great feel. Will keep tabs on this guy for sure.
Marozsan's drop shots are nasty wow
Marozsan is quite similar Djokovic. I love his technique. He would propably need to gain his serve, it’s not quick as well as hard enough. Nevertheless, i saw his game plan obviously. The glorious future ahead is waiting him. Let’s keep up good work and practice
After this match, Alcaraz said, “He made me feel like I’m 13 years old.” This is the PRIME Dimitrov ! 🔥
I'm sure that's what Federer would have made him feel; and more. Federer was in a class beyond everyone. Dimitrov today bought back memories of the maestro.
Many lament that we will never see a prime Federer match with Alcaraz. This is likely the closest we will ever get...
Have Alcaraz and Federer been on tour at the same time??
Or in the same tournament even?
I wonder why you didn't say this when alcaraz demolished dimitrov in their first 3 matchups. That doesn't suit your narrative though that alcaraz would demolish prime federer .
So only when dimitrov wins he's federer 😂😂
@@Fraudkovic Federer would destroy Alcaraz. Alcaraz cant play on fast courts. He won IW because its slowest hard court. Also Novak and Nadal destroyed prime Dimitrov and Alcaraz struggeling against old Dimitrov. Alcaraz is very overrated. He is Hewitt 2.0

Such a class player Grigor, he deserves to win titles. All his perseverance is paying off and he is getting results in his favor.
Always great pleasure to see Alcaraz behavior, close to be happy for the opponent high level tennis!
2 gentlemen on the court, 2 reasons to love tennis.
Exceptional performance(speed, accurate, great returns and great game reading)
All the best Grigor🎉
Turns out that taking the ball early and taking time away from alcaraz is the most effective way to beat him. But you need the skill to do that though.
yeah Djokovic did that at the ATP finals and crushed him.
One of the best performances Dimitrov has produced in his career so far. It's the kind of potential that pundits thought he'd win multiple slams.
I really hope he can snag one before he retires, he's more consistent as of recent. Playing really well this past 6 months, if he plays aggressive he can do well on grass. He plays like Federer, similar build he just can't hit that god-level as consistently as Fed could
Marozsan has the best drop shot on tour period
not that carlos was playing bad or rusty. it was dimi who was just playing out of the world. his shot making be it FH,BH,slice everything was just too good for even a red hot alcaraz. hope so dimi goes on and wins the title
Alcaraz played on his usual level, but Dimitrov played his best match since AO2018 that he lost to Nadal,Alcaraz wasn't expecting that level of tennis from Dimi I sure.
@@shadowagent6051AO 2017
Alcaraz wasnt playing great in this tournament. He barely outplayed Musetti.
Made me miss Federer watching Dimitrov. Constant variety and aggression with an all court style. Alcaraz does the same but he uses big heavy topspin and exquisite drop shots. Alcaraz was not at his best and needed to be tonight because Dimitrov was on fire. I forgot how much variety he uses. That backhand down the line was insane!
Pure elegance and precision from Grigor! What to see this more
Congratulations and respect to Grigor. He gave Carlos a tennis lesson yesterday. Even with the crowd cheering for his opponent, Dimitrov's performance was almost perfect. Please stop calling him "little Federer"; he has his personal talent and skills.
Totally agree, I also commented on this.
Maybe if he wins multiple slams people would stop calling him baby fed.
2:56 That volley....out of this world.
Omg!
OmG!Alcatraz got outgunned and outplayed like a kid! And he wasn't even playing bad!
Dimitrov - like Federer on thr best of days! Kudos!!!!
What renaissance!!!!👏👍🍀🙂😎
Beautiful tennis by Dmitrov and Alcaraz as ever so gracious in defeat.
That was the best match I have seen Dimitrov play.
My prediction was that Miami is too fast for Alcaraz and he still needs to make adjustments to play on these type of surfaces. Dimitrov took the ball extremely early here and that took time away from Alcaraz to play his game. Grigor showed a great understanding of what is required here and adjusted his game accordingly. That comes with age and experience. Carlitos still needs to tune his game for different conditions.
Yes. Agree. He needs to get more depth on his ground strokes and work on his flat first serve more and more depth on his second serve or a hard slice 2nd serve into the body with depth so Dimitrov would have trouble attacking.
he also just saw the ball so well today, some of the cleanest ball striking out there xD and that volley btw
best match dimitrov ever played was 2017 aus open semifinal. He lost the match but he was on fie all match before Rafa eventually beat him
How did he win Wimbledon tho, I’m really confused
Alcaraz won miami 2 years ago. He’s also good on fast surfaces, dimitrov just played great, that’s all.
Dimi taking care of Carlos and Sasha taking out the drop shot extraordinaire Marozsan. Great matches both.
"Remember the name Marozsan Fabian", he will be in top 10 soon, very humble guy and also really entertaining to watch
Dimitrov when he switched to Lacoste clothes has been playing so well now hopefully he wins the tourney.
Love watching the cunning of Marozsan. He’s giving top players nightmares. Seems like he got nervous in the first set and forgot how to use his weapons then remembered in the second set. Such an exciting player for the future
I loved it to see how Dimitriv was playing against Alcaraz!!!! Wow!!!
Straight sets! Wow!
Amazing hitting by Dimitrov :o
Alcaraz is a very good man indeed and even he lost he is gently smiling to his opponent.. when we won to novak in wimbledon he was very calm and did not spoiled at all... I believe this is the strongest and most valuable part of the tennis.. Nadal , Federer, Alcaraz they are all great character and born for tennis definately...
This is Federer on a normal taking prime Alcaraz.. I've always said skill is greater than strength..Congrats Dmitrov!
Fed fans using Dimitrov for Federer feats is crazy. 😂
@@kakashihatake1029it’s practically impossible not to draw comparisons. Their technique is nearly identical
If you think that Dimitrov played as a normal Federer version then you are pretty delusional. And also we don't know if Alcaraz is in his prime because he is 20
@@antoniovasilev4661 and you will never know if he will exceed his present form because you don't know the future. Besides, Federer and Dmitrov have very similar skill set and play pattern but Federer will beat him 9 in 10 matches. So YES, Federer can beat prime Alcaraz on a normal level bcos skill is greater than strength.
Miss the drop shot game from Carlos and Dmitrov had a KILLER backhand this match. Looked so easy.
Can someone at tennistv make a marozsan drop shot compilation for Miami? 😅
Very glad for Grigor, hard work and intelligence pays off.
even though Alcaraz lost, that 2-4 game of the second set must be one of the best i've seen from him
Well those inside out backhand return winners from Dimitrov were very reminiscent of Federer from the AO 2017 Final. Lovely to see.
2 years in a row!!
Please guys upload full match that must be one of the most beautiful matches from years. Regrdless from the score all games were super battled and was always fire !
I don't think there is anyone on planet earth who could have beaten Dimitrov in that match! World class
Something clicked for Grigor tonight. Beautiful tennis, hopefully he can keep playing at this level until the finao
❤an aggressive and a versatile Dimi! Get back on top, represent our single back hand 🎉
que lindo es ver jugar a Dimitrov así
Che bello vedere giocare il tennis di Dimitrov. Solido a fondo campo con quel rovescio paradisiaco... una preparazione fisica eccezionale... infine le sue discese a rete sempre letali. Magnifico💪
Maroshan is a beast of a player .... Watch out for this guy....
The video interface should contain a picture of Dimitrov, the winner, not Alcaraz
I am so happy and impressed with how Grigor has improved his tennis since Fed has retired. He was always compared to Fed, but he never really showed his potential. But having to play in that group too must have been overwhelming.
Just some awesome tennis he is putting together lately. Stay healthy...stay away from the JAB please and live a long healthy life...
Wow... where was this Dimitrov hiding??? I always comment he should use his backhand power and not chop... but this game is is not next level, its top level...
Best i've ever seen Dimitrov play! Outside of a few points here and there, he was flawless! Even in the game he got broken, it was because Alcaraz went beast mode to get to 0-40. This Dimitrov came right off Federer's nostalgic fan's wettest dreams! His inside out fh decimated Alcaraz. His topspin bh was spectacular. His net game and volleys stupendous! My only hope is he can keep it up. He deserves to win it all with displays like that!
Dimitrov today schooled alcaraz front Mike Tyson
PARTIDAZO!! de Drimitrov, que solidez!
Fun watching these players that some of us may have written off at some point, now climbing right back into a high level. 😲
Grigor been on some great form. Looks sharp
One of the best match....❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Dimi also beat Alcaras last year in Shanghai. It was as brutal match as this one!
Dimitrov is playing at a so high level. Seems easy to him.....what a talent. Seems like a 20 year old guy running everywhere
2:56 shot of the tournament candidate
Alcaraz didn’t even play bad, huge W for Dimitrov! Being a big Carlitos fan myself I can’t help but be stoked for Dimi
Alcaraz's real problem is Dimitrov.
In a grand slam I would beg to differ.
Alcaraz still leads h2h 3:2, that's overreacting
@@Lemonized98 actually this the opposite of overreacting. Because in the beginning Alcaraz was a new player in the tour and players didnt know how to play him. Dimitrov was struggling and with every match Dimitrov is having easier job playing against Alcaraz. He studied Carlos and thats why he wins. I would say it will only countinue until Dimitrov is completely washed
I think that his biggest problem is Djokovic, his drop in from probably resulted from thinking about Nole instead of focusing on playing freely in every match
Well played Grig!!
- Marie Sarapova
I'd get very upset if Griso didn't win the tournament :( Beating Alcaraz in quarters in his actual shape deserves special prize
3:24 perfect audio timing tho.
Man when Dimitrov plays like that…he definitely earns that title of mini Federer that so many people use for him.
Dimitrov has find beast mode at the later stages of his career. It's been so nice to see him play lights out tennis like this. That volley at 3:00 is the shot of the tournament for me.
Bravooooooooo Gregorio 👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏
cannot be happier to see dimi to take out the top seed!!!!!🎉
Even when Dimitrov plays amazing, people mostly mention Federer. It's kind of disrespectful
Yes..
From Baby Fed to Fed! Nobody beating Grigor today. Damn!
What did I just watch🤯🤯🤯
Dimitrov was INSANE!!!!!!
Good game from the most good looking players
It's another proof that's when Dimi is on song he can beat anyone. The problem is he just can't maintain that level for a little bit more time. I hope he is more motivated than ever to tell the world that he can win a major. Keep up the good work, Dimi.. whoop whoop!!
Dimitrov has an incredible talent, also considering that Maria sharapova may consume a lot of his physical energy 😊
Grigor you beauty 👌👌
This Marozsan is a problem, i know how much I've lost betting against him for a year or two now so i just stop betting on his matches before empties my bank. He's such a very good player and a threat to anyone on his day, so much potential and you could just see he has a notch or two to go with the way he's progressing rapidly...
Flawless tennis from Grigor.
Wow I am in huge trouble now
I wanted Dimitrov to go further to be back in the top 10 after his brilliant past performances but when got to know he has to face Alcaraz in the quarters , my support shifted towards Zverev to take revenge from IW , but now both fav are here 😂but rooting for Dimi to win this all and break back in the top 10 💪💪
Alcaraz is like the Borg from Star Trek, your phasers need to be on a constant rotating frequency if you want to beat him.
what a player DIMITRI!
I can't imagine how frustrating it is to Dimitrov to have all this talent and no grand slam titles
He’s still a millionaire. He has 1 ATPnFinals title
@@Smileater it has nothing to do with money
Dimitrov in god mode = ordinary Roger Federer
Different shot selection, different serve, different ability at the net etc etc. People genuinely using this as evidence of anything related to Federer are idiots. No debate over that

I love that Grigor is getting a resurgence, I'd love to see him lift a masters at this point. Injury and lacks of confidence definitely stole a few years off him.
