Easily the biggest transition
Fantastic match. Such a fitting way to end this amazing season of tennis that we have seen. And it is also a fitting last match before the 2020s decade as I am sure that throughout this next decade, Thiem and Tsitsipas are gonna win a lot of big tournaments. Two superb players, and I am more impressed with Tsitsipas every time I watch him. Definitely a very special player with extraordinary potential.

Schnittwin you are correct that that is when the next ordinal decade begins. However in my comment I was just talking about the 2010’s decade and the 2020’s decade, etc, so I wasn’t referring to ordinal decades in the calendar, but just those decades in particular.

I am a Greek and i am happy that Stefanos won, i watch him for years. But mostly i am happy because i watched a very high quality game today, an incredible performance from both players. During last weeks we, friends of tennis, are a little bit relieved knowing that the future of tennis is in good hands, even after the retirement of the big 3.
Lastly Thiem is an awesome player, i am a fan of him, and i love his fully aggressive game and the fact he hits the ball so hard, maybe the most entertaining player for me to watch.
