One issue is the very long term flexing of the chassis across torsionally in the "battery honeycomb" and having the interstitial layers of the battery shearing on each other longer term. I am occasionally being forced to sell some tesla shares due to margin call. Currently have 98 shares. Currently in a margin call due to yesterdays drop. I had 104 but was forced to sell due to margin call. Got back up to 111 before forced to sell again. So i got back up to 98 shares. I want to teduce my sharez of tesla so i dont keep getting hit with margin calls. But cant reduce until tesla goes back to $500 a share so i get half of my profit back. I only put in $12,000 this year. I had tripled to over $36,000. Now im hovering closer to $24,000 which is only double thanks to all these drops in tesla price. Went as low as $15,000 2 weeks ago. Was up at $27,000 a couple days ago. Dropped down to below $22,000 yesterday due to stupid investors. Climb up to $500 a share so i can reduce my margin to zero
OMG, what an amazing event for Mining/Environmental Engineer. Removing tabs from the batteries. Genius in its simplicity!! Saline Li extraction oh my!!! The possibilities for this extraction method are absolutely endless. It might even be worth pumping saline water from the ocean for conversion into fresh water in the Nevada desert. Once you make the ICE obsolete, fresh water will be the new oil. For the first time in a long time I have hope for the next generation and the world. Please, please, please keep asking "Why?" Elon! And never accept that that is the way it always has been done.

Tesla is uniquely unique. Not all brine yields Lithium profitably. Concentration levels are a determinant and water consumption is considerable. However, they pulled off two good ones on Nickel metal and Silicone ore. "Tabless" is a sharp improvement, although borrowed form pouch technology.

Beats Beats it’s going to take time, a lot of this was priced in already one way or another. But I think investors should feel confident after today. It’s not vaporware like Nikola, eventually Tesla delivers. Depends on your strategy, I’m holding now. I sold too early last time and that was a mistake, Tesla will be around for a long long time.

have you guys considered a printing molecular scale tesla valves or similar a fluidic valve onto cathodes to control energy flow direction & rates? a battery is after all essentially a solid state pressure engine it might allow you to use some materials that currently cant be used due to their lack of uniform flow rates or direction
Super-impressive presentation. One nitpick: at 44:22 the "basic" presentation of how all Li-ion batteries work" is hopelessly confused on so many levels. 1) The anode and cathode are actually swapping roles during charge/discharge cycles. The presentation shows only the battery-level anode and cathode. 2) The brown tab appears to be initially hooked to the positive terminal of the battery (when the battery is disassembled) but then later on it appears hooked on the negative terminal.

For more range these electric cars need bigger wheels that covers more distance in one turn, this will also reduce friction and maybe harvest more regenerative energy, there has to be a design fit for this since it brings so many advantages, rising up or lowering the car will make any terrain accessible, basically two cars in one, this is a radical approach for sure

Well, that does sound cool but I (and I know this sounds like a broad claim) really don't want to be in a place where my company would be competing against Tesla, because Tesla has already found a niche that the world has literally been dying for. I don't see any point in just creating a company that would compete against an already successful company when our primary goal isn't to make a profit but to push us towards greater sustainability. Any company takes years, maybe even decades to actually get out of the mud, so why lose the time to create just another company when we can join an existing firm that already has many of the resources needed to network and scale?

I am occasionally being forced to sell some tesla shares due to margin call. Currently have 98 shares. Currently in a margin call due to yesterdays drop. I had 104 but was forced to sell due to margin call. Got back up to 111 before forced to sell again. So i got back up to 98 shares. I want to teduce my sharez of tesla so i dont keep getting hit with margin calls. But cant reduce until tesla goes back to $500 a share so i get half of my profit back. I only put in $12,000 this year. I had tripled to over $36,000. Now im hovering closer to $24,000 which is only double thanks to all these drops in tesla price. Went as low as $15,000 2 weeks ago. Was up at $27,000 a couple days ago. Dropped down to below $22,000 yesterday due to stupid investors. Climb up to $500 a share so i can reduce my margin to zero

The possibilities for this extraction method are absolutely endless. It might even be worth pumping saline water from the ocean for conversion into fresh water in the Nevada desert. One nitpick: at 44:22 the "basic" presentation of how all Li-ion batteries work" is hopelessly confused on so many levels.
1) The anode and cathode are actually swapping roles during charge/discharge cycles. The presentation shows only the battery-level anode and cathode.
2) The brown tab appears to be initially hooked to the positive terminal of the battery (when the battery is disassembled) but then later on it appears hooked on the negative terminal.

For more range these electric cars need bigger wheels that covers more distance in one turn, this will also reduce friction and maybe harvest more regenerative energy, there has to be a design fit for this since it brings so many advantages, rising up or lowering the car will make any terrain accessible, basically two cars in one, this is a radical approach for sure

Well, that does sound cool but I (and I know this sounds like a broad claim) really don't want to be in a place where my company would be competing against Tesla, because Tesla has already found a niche that the world has literally been dying for. I don't see any point in just creating a company that would compete against an already successful company when our primary goal isn't to make a profit but to push us towards greater sustainability. Any company takes years, maybe even decades to actually get out of the mud, so why lose the time to create just another company when we can join an existing firm that already has many of the resources needed to network and scale?
