Honda and Acura concepts are usually very close to production. Look at past concept to model transitions.

The Nsx was good all the other cars get dummed down so much to the point of vanilla ugh I hope the nex gen TLX really looks like this! They also did well with the RDX so I guess there’s hope!

I really wish Honda would allow Acura to build this car design wise into an M3 competitor with some NSX tech trickled down
nls8520 new Type S is supposed to be V6 turbo with NSX derived engine tech. Won’t be an M3 killer though... Type S is like M-sport or AMG-lite like the 340i-M or C43.

If the new Acura's look like that then I'd seriously consider them over a Lexus. The front of this Acura is by far much better looking than the Lexus grills. Hopefully they can match the Lexus' reliability.
Agree, I hate the way Lexus looks, unless you can afford the lc 500 which is the only good looking car they make
Acura’s are reliable. Easily can get to 150k miles, at least.
My 2009 Acura tl awd has 201k miles n counting! Just regular maintenance. N its good to go! My 2004 acura rsx had 275k n counting when sold it. Acura always been reliable for me. Heard 2015 tax transmission suck tho.
Acura are as reliable as Hondas. Since they usesl the same motor. The Rdx uses the Type R motor
@@kf765 150k is nothing for a Honda engine... maintain it properly and it would do 200~250k without any major issues. The only worry here is how the body will be in 5~10 years... mostly likely the engine will outlive the rest of the car.

Acura has said it would be available this year! At least for the TLX, then probably with the RDX in 2021 for the RDX's 2022 mid cycle refresh!

Ugh this is so gorgeous. Just make it exactly like it is. So many companies show us these awesome concepts and then ruin it with the final production version. This one as is could finally put Acura back up there. They shouldn't have killed the RSX either.

Info has been leaked about the motor and its power months ago. SH-AWD V6 turbo with 410hp

@@GianniEndo I said 410Hp. That doesn't seem unlikely. It is a turbo V6. The type R is a turbo 4 cylinder with the HP you mentioned. Why would they make this car have the same power?

Tidwell the current fully loaded TLX A-SPEC with the NA v6 and SH-AWD is around 47k. I’m guessing this will be in the low the mid 50s but definitely over 50k

dude, my 2007 civic looks like it is 40 yrs old, all the paint peeled off 3 yrs after the recall notice passed.

i had an 07 civic and had the hood repainted 2 years into owning it. i got rid of the car as soon as i started noticing more bubbling and the roof fading.
Never seen an Acura with peeling paint. Seen newer hondas with peeling paint .

Perfect style for europe and we hope to get a Type s again. civic type R has its class but this one is bigger and has a different character. of course it is a concept car but the design is what europe needs. I would buy it right away, this look is awesome. It is a mixture of elegance and sportiness like an Audi and the Europeans love it. Please pass this message on to the producer. Thank you.

Normally Acura will take a Honda, put a little of their own sauce on the design and slap a different badge on it... In this case, Honda should take this design, change nothing about the exterior, slap a Honda badge on it and call it the new Accord.

Acura - Listen up! THIS is the car everyone's been waiting for!! Twin turbo V6?? Hell yes! Rear drive based with an AWD option? PLEASE! (I know I know, it's probably going to be FWD based like a good Accord variant should). grr So, Performance Performance Performance?? OK I'll take a 6 speed manual with all that please. :) You KNOW you can do that. Meanwhile, your man Marek all out FRIGHTENED me when I heard him repeat - several times - the 4-Letter word... "Tidy". NOOOOO!! It's like real estate ads talking about your future home's "Cozy kitchen". Ugh! Give us some room in that interior! I'm tired of tight seats and no leg room in the back for my passengers. And your RLX just isn't doing it for me (anyone really, based on pure numbers!) and the ILX is too small. A new TLX could maybe pull it off, but we need rear legroom! And there is simply NOOOO reason this car couldn't be a .... (drum roll please.....) HATCHBACK!! Look at those fastback lines! My family's fleet is already proliferated by SUVs so I'm all set with that. But at almost 16 years old my Mazda 6S V6 5-speed manual HATCHBACK is all I could have ever hoped for in a car (if only it could have NOT been made in a Ford factory...). I still have it because nothing has come along to replace it, and now my son drives it. So I "settled" and bought a gently used Lexus GS350 F-Sport AWD to get my kicks in plus go to dinner with my wife in style. However, my 6'-4" sons hate being holed up in the back of anything we own other than our 11 year old Highlander - my other son's car - which has dance-floor space in the rear. I need a compromise, something powerful and sporty, practical, sexy AF to look at and FUN! OK, now I could go off on a tangent talking about your guy Marek, but I'll leave that to the other commentators... Please do this right! Oh, and make it reliable! Acura has fallen down the Consumer Reports reliability slide lately. Time for a reset! Mazda did it, so can you!

Tesla Cyber Truck can release a concept like that and actually have it for production.. This Acura concept should look exactly like that when it comes to production no excuse. They better not make it look smaller or change things to make it look less futuristic on the road.

Concept looks sick, no doubt, but what's the deal with fake emblems? Nissan seems to be doing that on a few models.
To dream is always good ; But if ACURA is really serious on this design all it would need to complete THE Dream is to talk to Audi just like Toyota did to BMW with the Supra and put an RS4 engine in this Type S body.. That would put Acura OVER the Top.
Iggy Moyano Jr and it would make Honda look like a laughing stock. I am pretty sure that Honda holds its pride in engine design compared to Toyota having to go to another manufacturer. They have the NSX engine, and don’t be surprised if a lot of NSX engine tech trickles down to this Type S. Either way, I would not trust the reliability of an RS4 engine.

They must have gotten rid of the previous stylists at Acura and hired new ones. Boy how long Acuras have suffered with those horrendous bird beak grills. Hopefully they'll offer an awd version along with optional 6 speed MANUAL TRANSMISSION. If not when it first comes out then maybe in the 2nd model year.

The biggest Acura mistake was that ugly beak (which I still see some of it) that they just refused to get rid of for many years and many people hated it.
Acura legend was in it's own class back then. they dropped the ball past 10 years.
Acura has been behind in design ever since they abandoned the 2004-2008 TL. They should have took elements from that TL and then create something new. But instead they do it completely different🤦🏽♂️ I see more 04-08 TL’s on the road then i do new Acuras. But this design? This design will bring them back on top! I hope the build it! I went to lexus after i sold my 08 TL. With this design id go back to Acura!

ironically hondas have looked better than acuras over the past 15+ years which is kind of hilarious, this is the first good looking acura since the 90s
