Nick_ Campas yeah look at the meat on them. My 350hp 400 tq lt1 would roast them through 3rd gear no problem.
It's good to hear he's using a GE block instead of GTE swapping like the other is300 sheep. FFIM and a big turbo, cams, v160 with driveshaft and call this a day. There's so much more to this car though! great job on the build jesus!

I 100% agree. I can’t stand all this tech they are stuffing in new cars and jacking up the prices. It’s disgusting what they have done to trucks particularly. Cruise control, power seats and windows, radio, heated seats, DONE. Don’t need all the other goofy shit.

This is an amazing build. Hands down my favorite jz build of all time, might not be the highest hp but the amount of love this dude put into his car is inspiring.

Aarrggh! Stop saying it's 2jz swapped! IS300 are 2jzge from the factory. The owner even says it in the video.
People either do a full swap, As in they find a 2jz-gte to replace the ge with. Or they just turbo the ge. People also will do a gte bottom end swap. Still a swap.

The way the guy is saying it "2jz swap" is like he knows nothing about the car. It's factory 2jz. Not gte swapped. A built NA 2jz to handle boost. If he blows a motor and puts another 2jz in it doesn't make it a "swapped 2jz".

Back when I first started turning wrenches at a shop around 19 years old this guy needed an alignment done on his Lexus IS300. I went for a test drive around the block and immediately fell in love. I love the way they look, drive, and feel. My attraction to them over the years fell off, but this brought it all back. All around great car.

I've always wanted to do one of these, the versatility of that car being a 4dr rwd and great engine and trans.
All the basic amenities and they are easy to find for cheap, now that I've seen it built so well, I can die happy knowing someone in the world did it this well, with such passion.

There's minor but still obvious sound differences in between a built ge vvti, a built vvti gte, and a built non vvti gte

Thats right. More flow, higher volumetric efficiency-the point of max torque output. That's a must on these lower displacement blocks which are so much easier to handle when you put 500lb. Ft. At 3-4k. As opposed to a 6.2 GM putting 750hp 750lbs. Ft. Stock.

That's insane, and makes me breathe a bit easier about mine which only has to deal with a pitiful-in-comparison 342 wtq! Kudos for a truly well executed IS300 build!
