Great reaction! Fun facts: Jackson grew up in a family of athletes, so he was naturally introduced to sports. His dad was an Olympian fencer... his mum, a world class gymnast... his brother a rugby and himself a sabre fencer. He was ranked 11th in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics and was the Asian Junior and Cadet Fencing Champion in 2011. He gave up his Stanford scholarship offer and Olympics 2011 to pursue his music dreams in Korea. The olympics tattoo on his arm holds a very special meaning to him.

I love how this MV and the production of the song has a sort of Western feel to it. As in it is more like an American style video than something you'd see in K-pop or C-pop. Noticed that you haven't looked at some of BTS' older stuff - before Butter. You should definitely check out Mic Drop (Steve Aoki remix) and Silver Spoon (or Bapsae), as well as DNA and Dionysus and BTS Cypher. May be more up your alley. Enjoying your reactions.

Yes I am stoked on this video as you both are. I enjoyed your reaction and very similar to my own thoughts very MJ connection plus that is who he is said to be named after. Jackson Wang was the top fencer in the China’s junior Olympics team. He almost made it to London but his schedule didn’t allow him to attend. His parents are Olympians also. His mum was a Olympic Gymnast and his dad was an Olympic Fencer too. Jackson is a member of GOT7 whom although have left JYPE which is the same company as Stray Kids are currently with at the end of their 7 year contract because the company wasn’t willing to resign all the members and they all agreed if it ain’t 7 then we won’t stay. All the others have solos too. They even mix other genres together it’s like next level producing. For example Dreamcatcher-Boca has EDM+Rock+Rap+Latin Pop in it but it’s a kpop song.

Jackson as a solo artist is mainstream or mandopop. His solo songs aren't kpop and he is also part and founded Mando hip hop group Panthepack. Please don't apply labels per your limited view.
