RACHMANINOV Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, op. 18
Uladzislau Khandohi was born in Minsk, Belarus, to a family of musicians-dulcimer players. When his parents noticed him picking out melodies on the piano at the age of 7, they took him to music school, where he progressed quickly; he won his first grand prix (at the Mendzelevskaya Open City Competition for young pianists in Mogilev) at age 10, and the first prize of the Sviridov Competition for Young Performers in St. Petersburg a year later.
In 2013, he entered the Republican Music College of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, after which he became a laureate of many international competitions, including first-prize wins at Kazakhstan’s International Astana Piano Passion Competition; International Nutcracker Television Contest; and International Sviridov Competition. In 2016, he reached the finals of the Gina Bachauer International Junior Piano Competition in Salt Lake City and recorded his first solo album.
Now 20, Uladzislau has performed in Belarus, Russia, Spain, Italy, and France. He has studied with Natalia Trull at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory since 2020. He most recently won the 2021 editions of the Ferrol International Piano Competition in Spain and the Sanremo International Piano Competition in Italy. - 음악

이 분도 어마어마하게 잘 치시는데 1,2,3순위 안에는 못드셨네요. 실수도 하나 없는 것 같은데. 와, 정말로 대단한 경쟁이네요. 테크닉만 보는 게 아닌가 봅니다.
잔실수가 꽤 많은데요 라흐 2번이 사실 그렇게 어려운 협주곡이 아니라서 수상하려면 더 잘 쳤어야 됐을 겁니다

Uladzislau should have gotten a medal. He should have tied with Dmytro for the silver. And Shmukler should tied with Anna for the bronze. Clayton should not have been in the final round, even in the semifinals. Either Masaya or Marcel should have been there. Believe me, I witnessed all of it in person.
Interesting, do you think Yunchan's Rach 3 was as good as everyone says it is?

@@Isegawa2001 I haven't heard anyone who complained about the gold medal. Yunchan's skill is way up there. Masaya played Mazeppa but he has a weak touch comparing Yunchan's.

Same for the lyrical sections in the third movement. Way too self-indulgent.
ok, lets say this could be personal artistic expresion of Uladzislau Khandohi. But at some places that accents , uneven tempo, full pedaling could be avoided

I don’t now if it is because of the orchestra or the conductor, but the orchestra part sounds terrible and some sort of clown like. On the other hand the piano part is very good

Khandohi has grown quite a bit musically. His Rach 3 at age 16 is quite marvelous
