April 29th 2023. @TheCliburn, please tell Mr. Kholodenko that music has no politics and no boundaries. I respect all musicians and especially all those who, under difficult circumstances, still touch our souls with, in this, his excellent performance. With respect and thanks from the Netherlands. 👍🌷🌷🌷🍀

I remember watching this live and the Stravinsky making me realize all at once exactly what my teachers meant when they said to play orchestrally. For me the 3 movements might never be played better

Absolutely fantastic performance! I watched it live then and had the privilege to review Vadym's concert shortly after taking the gold, when he played with the Rochester Philharmonic. Am a dedicated fan! Thanks Van Cliburn for this creative series. Your archives are a treasure chest!

I really like him. He's been through so much and still stands strong like a tower of inspiration. I'll keep that young man in my prayers.

I have only had one chance so far to attend one of his recitals which he opened with Mozart's Fantasia in C minor, and from the moment he first touched the keys, tears started rolling down my cheeks... We often get so lost in this pursuit of an ideal rendition of these composers' works that we forget that each performer has their own story to tell about their own life. And few people alive know as much about life as Maestro Kholodenko

Bach did not play on a piano either. If he did he just might have used sustain pedal. Vadym is legendary now and his wife Alena incrediblel
