"applied equally" is actually wrong. It is applied proportional/relative to needs/income and other criteria, to make it actually fair. If i need 2x more calories due to my higher , then i take double the food you need.
And you have no right to call me unfair because of this "inequality". Because we are actually not equal, we are individuals with individual needs.

With that said, to apply the law you need to start from a basis in which you have the same laws applied to everyone, but then there is situations where the law doesn't apply the same way, of course, but you can't just make a specific set of laws to each person, therefore, the law being sort of equall to everyone, with the necessary exceptions, of course.
"The law" is already location specific and nobody knows what you are talking about.
And therefore your sentence is just hot air. There is already a thing called "human rights". Its the thing americans dont care about -> see Edward Snowden. So even if such "law" exist you can forget about it because of "nations" and other ways to split humanity.

The problem is that people with power, money or fame can easily go around that, and get lighter sentences or even no sentence for the same crime as a regular person. This is what is wrong everywere, the location doesn't really play a role in the context of this dicussion, therefore my confusion on what you wrote. I was clarifying the fact that, although there is different laws across the globe, every nation has its basis, taking that the judges sentence people based on those regulations, supposibly fairly and equally.
Yes we are probably talking about two separate issues then ). But i dont know, rich ppl go to jail in my country aswell. And I actually find it ok to be able to solve almost every legal issue with money. Jail is needed when you are a danger to your neighbours. Im not perfect and jail would give me the rest, so im thankful that i can solve by money. That rich ppl have less problems solving money issues should be obvious. Freedom is actually expensive if you are not perfect ( a robot ). Poor ppl seem to even have more issues with their law than rich ppl on average because of the increased daily survival.

Life is so much better when you have little or no expectations, I was shocked when the President was impeached, even though he survived with his Presidency in tact, the slap on the wrist was WAY more than I thought he would get, I guess growing up as the oldest, I learned some people just get away with everything.
