I adopted a similar approach working in a kindergarten, and it made a huge difference after I realised this. The kids like me more, respected me more, and opened up to me. I got better at reaching the kids that was struggeling build them up, and get the spoiled brats back down to earth.

That's how I do it--they really are just tiny people, deserving of the same respect as anyone else, and when you elevate your treatment of them you elevate how they think of themselves. I remember being a child that my favorite adults were the ones who were caring and not condescending. Those were the ones who taught me the most. Those are the ones I still remember.

Yeah bro I always thought it was intuitive, but a lot of people like to talk down to children thinking they are helping them out because they are just “dumb kids”. It’s been a decade since I started high school, but that’s when I developed that philosophy. Just talk to children like you would pretty much anyone else (in a respectful and still appropriate manner)

@Brion Stronghold Man I understand the costs of the universal health care sound scary, but think it that way. The increase in taxes in average household will be compensated by cuts in insurance payments. When there is only one payer paying for the health services (That's US government... it's a pretty powerful player) the cost of the health services will go down, because if the company responsible for example providing certain medicines can't provide good price for the medicine, well fuck them then, we'll find a company that doesn't try to rip off people (of AMERICA, FUCK YEAH!)
Also there is a weird thing about taxes. Did you know Amazon is apparently going bankrupt? I mean That is what I'm coming to understand since the company that is supposed to be one of the most profitable companies in the world got a huge tax rebate in 2018 and didn't pay any federal income tax. Or... there is another possibility. There is a possibility that people who should be paying taxes, aren't actually paying their fair share.
