even the cardboard chits are overkill imho, it's pretty easy to just look at what dice are shared with you.

@@nathanielchambers8974 I don't want to constantly look left, right, or across the table to understand how I can take my turn. Those tokens streamline the experience. Having extra dice would steamline it even more sense you wouldn't need to fiddle with a bunch of different tokens. Just turn the two different die faces. Plus the tactile and aesthetic feel it arguably much nicer.

@@nathanielchambers8974 The chits are not overkill. The chits are a great reference, and you have something to slide up when you use it. Using any one die can lead to a decent amount of time performing it, so having a chit to slide is a great way to know what die activations you still have left.

@@greglott4977 I’m guessing other folks are playing much farther apart than I am. I place the dice fairly close together so all are in easy view of one another. I do not use the slide up mats as they take up too much space for no return. I use the sewer lids (from TMNT) to cover up the dice I’ve used for the turn. To each their own obviously, if it works for you, I’m glad the chits work! I’ve yet to use them, though I’m sure if I spread all the turtles out they’d come in handy, I hadn’t considered extra large tables and that’s on me.

@@nathanielchambers8974 Like you said, to each their own. I love the premium boards as well. So far, none of my players have rebelled against them.

I havent played this but I've played Gotham city chronicles and the TMNT game. Long story short, I sold gcc after this was announced.

@@gunnercarson265 why? gcc is a great game. It's the reason why i am getting into board games in general now honestly. I went from the all in season 1 and all in season 2 to stalking kickstarter for more games like it. I haven't played this or the TMNT game but this also looks great. I don't get the beef with gcc, it's a great game.

GCC is awful. It is more of a mathematical equation than a game. If this Batman game is in the same vein as TMNT however, it will certainly be a fun time.

I'd like a Justice League game just like Marvel United. That would be great I think.

Ace Frahm they will be gray plastic, if they do it the same as the TMNT game.

They need to keep the squares for the cars, dumpsters and everything cause that way you can reuse the same map but with different environment setup.

There is a Batman only mode

Honestly, at least in TMNT, the Puzzle Dice aspect solo isn't an issue at all. I really enjoy it. I do think the number of cards I'm looking through (again, in TMNT) can be a bit overwhelming though when playing Solo, but if I played it more, it would probably be pretty easy.

Jonathan George I enjoy it, but the AI rules aren’t quite as defined as I’d like. There’s also honestly a bit TOO much dice chucking for my tastes but that’s very subjective. As for AI, what I mean is there’s a particular group that required a lot of online explanation to play correctly and I still can’t quite wrap my head around it. And occasionally the AI just isn’t smart enough and will do some really suboptimal moves. But it keeps it streamlined. The dice sharing mechanic is my fav part by far. It’s a good game for its target audience, which is a more approachable coop dice chucker. Don’t go in expecting Street Masters or anything heavy. I think it’s fine solo, 2, or 4 player. I think it is a little weird 3p where one person controls 2 turtles and the rest just 1. Some claim the game is too easy but I hear it ramps up in later missions. Also I felt the addition of Going On The Defense fixed my number one issue with the original Shadows Of The Past which was that it was way too easy in the 1vM mode to just pick on one turtle. For a licensed game I think it’s great. Just don’t go in expecting Gloomhaven or anything heavy.

So, you can play 4v1, 1v1, 4v4, 4 player coop vs AI, or just about anything in between.

Thomas Frandsen it’s called skirmish mode. There are special rules for it. In the TMNT game every main character has a hero, villain, and AI card, so you can work the game any way you want.

@@mamunestor I see, cool. But what I meant was that 4v4 would be an 8-player game. Like Captain Sonar is 4v4. And from what I could tell this game supports a maximum of 5 players. Perhaps what you meant with 4v4 was more like 4 player free-for-all and not actually 4 versus 4? Perhaps I just misunderstood.
I never played the TMNT one, but the review was cool. This looks good too.

Escalation - It's actually is pretty cool thematically and makes a lot of sense. He's pretty powerful so this balances him out a bit

There is a Batman only mode... Im sure there could just as easily be a Batman and Robin mode.

@@GhostKingGeorge you could potentially just use wrap around to share dice with your ally. Maybe even removing some henchmen to balance it out

@@mikeglasswell-gameplay would find need to find the middle or balance between solo Batman and using 4 heros. Shouldn't be hard to house rule.. but I do hope they consider making rules and story for a Batman and Robin mode

And for essentially the whole game, Robin couldn't even move...

@@DimSumShum It's robins fault for running in there. Also they played it wayyy wrong. Robin could flip any of his 3 dice to a Defense action after taking a point of damage. The defense action stays for the entire round until they reroll again. Wouldve been very helpful here

This shit just came out wtf bro , u realize it takes time to makes things right, theyve already annouced expansions, and if u watched the video for more than 3 minutes he talks about how they did tmnt and this one so far and they plan on making more types of this game that are interchangeable and combineable

Everything from the BTAS show is within possibility for this KS. Superman and JL and Beyond are different licenses. They may have expansions in the future.

Matthew Matson I know, just excited by how much from BTAS is in the Kickstarter! They have everything from the show except Ra’s and Characters related to his episodes (Talia, his body guard, Count Vertigo)! Then I thought how cool it would be to play out World’s Finest episodes from the show and how connected all those Bruce Timm and Paul Dinni shows are and how good they are. But truly the only BTAS classic villains missing on the Kickstarter is Ra’s and his allies. They are even about to unlock Etrigan on the Kickstarter!!!
Just check out all the awesome stretch goals already unlocked on the Kickstarter page! Mask of the Phantasm Bruce Wayne and Phantasm, Arkham Asylum featuring most of the villains missing from the base game (Mad Hatter, Poison Ivy, Clayfaxe, Harley’s Hyenas and Ivy’s maneater plants, Lockup, ... etc.), Mystery of the Batwoman with Batwoman and Bane, Villains pack where you play through “Almost Got ‘im” with Killer Croc and many of the other villains (even some not from that episode), Alfred as a Kickstarter Exclusive, Zatanna, Bullock, Rene Montoya as playable characters, ... etc.! It’s super exciting how much and how many characters from the show and it’s episodes and movies is available on that Kickstarter!

Overpriced compared to what? I think there will be more than fair amount of content in the base pledge once the kick starter is finished. The all in price though... I can agree... Its a bit steep...

But you've only seen one map buddy, There will be a lot more maps in the box. As for the price... it's a matter of opinion. The amount of stuff in that core box is impressive imo. I've pledged the game with 2 friends to split the bill and we took the All-In. With all the stretch goals there is soooo much content.

Actually, I have seen more of the boards. My post wasn't based on just this video. As you said, and I implied, value is a matter of taste. But even if we cannot agree on this game surely we both agree that Batman is awesome. :-) Have fun with the game once you receive it!
