Okay, so The Emoji Movie is pretty darn bad. But that badness doesn't actually come from the movie itself. I mean, sure, The Emoji Movie is predictable and has cringe-worthy jokes and has a really awful "try hard to be hip for the kids" premise...but that's true of a lot of movies. No, The Emoji Movie is bad because it's one huge commercial. A commercial that is targeting children while blatantly breaking rules established by the FTC and FCC for disclosing branded advertising. So how deep does this rabbit hole go? Get ready for some Angry Judge emoji.

Product placement has been around since like the 20s. Fun fact: the creator of Butterfingers paid to put it in Baby Take a Bow and have Shirley Temple actually say the product name. It worked to get Butterfingers to be one of the huge candy bars that we all know and love today.

I do feel the need to point out that movies are directly paid for viewing by consumers (unless they were pirated.) Movie theatre tickets are through the roof, and to watch at home, you have to either buy or rent the movie or pay for a streaming service.
KRplus and other services akin to it are typically completely free to watch and accessible from just about anywhere at any time. Therefore, the fairness lies in the viewership exchange for service. A movie is a different platform than a tv show, which is a different platform from online video.
Now, when the continued implementation of mid roll video ads on KRplus, I would argue that it is getting closer to old fashioned TV show experiences and should probably be considered as such.
I bet if matpat is a lawyer everytime he protest it will end with "BUT HEY THATS JUST A THEORY...A LAW THEORY"

If the video was age restricted, kids wouldn't be allowed to watch the theory, and therefore be unable to dislike the theory constantly trashing the movie they probably like because they are kids. Therefore, the audience would only have adults who generally agree with Matpat because yeah the movie is awful and the movie is terrible, therefore resulting in a minimal amount of dislikes since mostly kids would be mad at this theory.
