DC fans will always blame Snyder's mistakes on WB. He is the one who ruined everything with his edginess right from the beginning. If WB would have been at fault, films like wonder woman and Nolan's dark knight trilogy wouldn't have been successful.

It might have to be movies long since the animated one tried to shorten it to 1:30 minutes so if they do they have to try to be faithful to the comics and not pace it too fast while still make it meaningful

Superman is the most optimistic part of dc, but that's really it, everything else is dark and gritty, and even superman is really only ever super fun and campy during his early days, once he gets a few years of fighting villians under his belt his attitude and tone change
So basically, The Joker saves the universe by psyching Batman into being willing to be the ultimate hero and sacrifice himself.... Actually brilliant.

synder has stated, that the only way to save the world is to sacrifice himself. Him or lois , the knightmare world is what happens when its lois, it like universal event that has to happen.

After finally watching the movie, I feel satisfied with this theory, it makes me really happy to see this bigger story more clear, I'm really happy you made this theory, it makes a lot of sense overall to the story to see this happen. Hopefully, Warner Bros will listen to this because it'd make people extremely happy to finally have a cohesive storyline.

Low key. Coming back to this video I realized that Matt Patt predicted the reboot/continuity fix of the marvel multiverse. We only had ISV when this came out but now we have several reality bend rewrite/franchise connections. This is brilliant

I think the arrowverse could have helped as well. What they're doing makes a lot more sense compared to DCEU and even what Marvel does in terms of alternate realities, the multiverse, etc.
The issue is, why? How is this an improvement? This video ignores so much seemingly for no good reason.
Firstly from just a meta perspective, why do Flashpoint just to make 2 timelines to preserve the version of the 2017 film that was disliked and not even considered canon by other DCEU films and directors? Had Snyder had his way from the beginning, we would have had the superior version from 2017 and never had to discuss preserving the worse one. Like, imagine if Matpat had to take a leave of absence while working on a video, then his editors turned that video into a Frankenstein's mess of a video that MP hated and then MP came back and made the original video that should have been made in the first place. Why then would he want to keep the terrible version? It's the same for Snyder. Even his wife and Christoper Nolan told him not to watch the Whedon Cut. Snyder himself dislikes the Whedon Cut. So why preserve it as canon?
Secondly, from a storytelling standpoint, what does this accomplish? Like, regarding the whole "good and bad" endings, Whedon's cut ends on a more positive note. There's no upcoming threat of Darkseid. All references to the Knightmare Timeline are gone (also many characters like Aquaman are very different from how they'd be portrayed in their own solo movies). So how would it be the "bad ending"? While Snyder's "good ending" was a set up for 2 more JL movies where Knightmare happens and Darkseid invades. Whedon's version is a narrative cul-de-sac so what does keeping it canon accomplish?
I'm disappointed in MP. It feels like he's using this video to just quickly throw in a Flashpoint "solution" while ignoring everything else.

This is a pretty incredible theory, which makes both the Knightmare scenario more interesting, but also explains both movies co-existing perfectly. I ALWAYS felt that original JL had a Darkseid shaped hole in it, and the new one fulfilled that. And it DOES feel like a good ending both for fans and the timeline.

As for the Joker bit of sending the Boy Wonder to do a man's job I always imagined it as Lois having been kidnapped BY The Joker and Batman sending Robin to save her, ultimately leading to both of their deaths, setting Superman into his grief.
It would further explain Batman's reluctance to working with the Joker on Knightmare, him calling a truce with the card and Joker's meta knowledge of the situation as well
Unless there's a second Robin (which, fair enough, there's plenty of them in any given comic continuity) that can't happen because he was already d€@d before BvS.

What “everyone”? People disliked Josstice League. The film was trashed on every critical site and KRplus and Reddit. Even the people on its production hated it.
The cast and crew had a horrible time working on it and almost quit or were fired. (and in the case of Ray Fisher, actually were) and universally prefer ZSJL. The writer Chris Tierro even requested his lawyer to try and get his name removed from Josstice League. Snyder's own wife Deboarah and friend Christopher Nolan have publically denounced the film and told Snyder not to watch it. Snyder himself even said "i would rather burn that film than use a single frame from it".
The only version anyone was both happy with and enjoyed working on was ZSJL, what JL was originally even supposed to be in the first place.
Litterally the only person calling for this dumb unification theory is Matpat and the dumb sheep he's somehow managed to convince. And given MP's history of making lacklustre theories to cash in on popularity, it's possible even he doesn't believe what he's saying is correct. Even ignoring all that, Josstice League is a narrative cul-de-sac. It offers nothing for the universe going forward. Making it canon only means you have a lacklustre version of a film also canon for no good reason and waste the Flashpoint story on something worthless.
To recap, trying to fix this situation with a Flashpoint movie is absurd for a multitude of reasons. For one, you already have a replacement movie better than the released version that literally nobody is a fan of or wants preserved, not even the people who made them. Preserving it does nothing for the overall narrative of the DCEU except make it even more confusing since it all only makes sense if you follow the real life drama to understand why there are 2 versions in the first place rather than the in-universe story of the films. You legitimize the work of Whedon who went out of his way to harass the crew, in particular Gadot and her stunt doubles, and Ray Fisher. You make it uncomfortable for the creators going forward since they have to actively work to incorporate something they hated and want to forget into future films for just one film that doesn't even have any payoff or future after this aside from the novelty.
It is not an improvement to anybody else.
Having just watched The Flash 2023…. I really wish this were true. They had an opportunity to do something special with that movie and they blew it.

Let’s not forget that even it this hypothetical plan fails, the Crisis on Infinite Earths event in the Arrowverse established that all DC adaptations are canon within the larger true “DCEU” anyway.

What's even crazier is that the Joker in the Knightmare epilogue is not the same as the one that appeared in Suicide Squad. You can tell by the lack of tats, scars, no gold teeth. He also references Bruce's many timelines, Bruce needs him, etc

I like this scenario:
- In Josstice League: Steppenwolf is not killed at all and the heroes never know of Darkseid. As a result, Darkseid attacks the Earth, the heroes are not capable of defeat him. They loose (the Knightmare sequence is basically the end). Then Flash creates a Flashpoint at that moment:
- Then the Snyder Cut happens, it’s a different universe where MoS, BvS, SS and WW still happen, but this time the heroes destroy Steppenwolf and now they know of Darkseid, and also get additional help like Martian Manhunter (who in this universe is Harry Lennix’ character).
- The new Flash movie is said to happen as a sequel for Snyder Cut and will feature a new timeline.
DC: *sets up movie with previous batmen*
Marvel making NWH: "I’m gonna put some dirt in your eye”

To be fair, Snyder wouldn't be the first one to do that. The Injustice games are entirely predicated around the joker tricking Supes into killing Lois. Bats failing to save her would be about as big a blow to his psyche, especially for this off-brand version of Clark's personality.
Only in the modern era do people find this ironic or abnormal. It's not dependent on whether or not he has "a girlfriend"; it's dependent on whether or not he has "his twin flame" and his perfect completion. If you have ever been truly in love with someone, then you will understand exactly how and why Supes could go off the deep end by losing her to death.

He didn't just flip a switch(or get brainwashed) and go evil after Lois died he 'just' killed joker, it was a number of events after that that slowly corrupted him into a dictator.

I love this. Also, I don't think The Flash gets enough credit for being literally the most powerful DC hero. Oh, you think Superman is more powerful? The Motherbox destroyed the world, it destroyed Superman, turned him to dust, and The Flash no sold it like Road Warrior Hawk against a local jobber.
Also keep in mind the Flash can literally manipulate the laws of physics and time itself

My question is; where does the streamed series tie into this? Such as The Flash (series), Green Arrow (series) and Titans?
BTW Multiverse has always been a thing in DC; First seen in the comics in the 80s and was very prevalent in the 90s and 2000s cartoons and video games from a decade ago. I think they're just falling back to it with the live action for a standpoint of pure convenience that it has to make up for their mistakes, which is a bit of a cop out, but understandable and can easily be justified by the lore.
However, see here, the problem is they're making it *too obvious* so there isn't a shadow of a doubt it's different timelines through exposition dumps. Which... is not lore accurate; In both the comics and the cartoons/games which dealt with this stuff, only a small number of characters knew about the multiverse. That being Perpetua, Trigon, Anti-Monitor, Elaine Belloc and The Presence. Other characters suspect or theorize it exists or become aware of it being fact over time, this includes Doctor Manhattan, The Flash and Time Trapper - Other characters find proof of it's existence via the aforementioned characters.
As much as the Synder Cut is good, I find a lot of characters knowing, who shouldn't know a bit of a stretch. So... a Flash film addressing that would comfortably fix that plot hole.
Compared to the Marvel Universe, which doesn't really contain a multiverse thanks to the TVA; It only really has 3 Timelines, 1 for the movie universe and two separate cannon universes featured in the comics.

Part of me wonders if they may use Flashpoint to take the best parts of both timelines and combine them.
Considering Flashpoint is a time traveling event of such magnitude to change events before and after the initial time-travel point (IE: Barry going back in time to save his mom effects events that happened before that via "Time Boom")
So the Knightmare as we know it could be erased permanently in the Post-Flashpoint DCEU as the circumstances for it to occur would be erased via the combining of the Synder and Joss Timelines, add in a even more experienced version of the Flash running around in this new timeline, they would be even more capable of at least preparing for Darksied as this Flash would have at the very least subconsciously seen 2 Bad endings (Knightmare and Flashpoint), so would be wanting to warn others about this.
As for what the Post-Flashpoint DCEU timeline would look like, that is TBD, although I do say based on filming times if Robert's "The Batman" becomes the Batman of the new DCEU likely hinges on that movie's success.
If it succeeds, they film a quick post-credit scene ala what happened with Barry (DCEU) and Barry (CW-Arrowverse) meeting during Crisis on Infinite Earths, and put it at the end of Flashpoint with Barry seeing Pattinson's Batman.
If it flops, they decide to leave it ambiguous or pick a different person to be the Batman in the new DCEU (as iirc Flash is the last movie Ben is playing Batman in)

Since Marvel has already set everything up individually, they can't really introduce the Multiverse that well. DC has a chance to be more creative with their characters.

The issue is, why? How is this an improvement? This video ignores so much seemingly for no good reason.
Firstly from just a meta perspective, why do Flashpoint just to make 2 timelines to preserve the version of the 2017 film that was disliked and not even considered canon by other DCEU films and directors? Had Snyder had his way from the beginning, we would have had the superior version from 2017 and never had to discuss preserving the worse one. Like, imagine if Matpat had to take a leave of absence while working on a video, then his editors turned that video into a Frankenstein's mess of a video that MP hated and then MP came back and made the original video that should have been made in the first place. Why then would he want to keep the terrible version? It's the same for Snyder. Even his wife and Christoper Nolan told him not to watch the Whedon Cut. Snyder himself dislikes the Whedon Cut. So why preserve it as canon?
Secondly, from a storytelling standpoint, what does this accomplish? Like, regarding the whole "good and bad" endings, Whedon's cut ends on a more positive note. There's no upcoming threat of Darkseid. All references to the Knightmare Timeline are gone (also many characters like Aquaman are very different from how they'd be portrayed in their own solo movies). So how would it be the "bad ending"? While Snyder's "good ending" was a set up for 2 more JL movies where Knightmare happens and Darkseid invades. Whedon's version is a narrative cul-de-sac so what does keeping it canon accomplish?
I'm disappointed in MP. It feels like he's using this video to just quickly throw in a Flashpoint "solution" while ignoring everything else.

Trust me, we have seen this before with days of future past movie, not only is it possible, but a reference of the case exists and its easily available
@@DradthemercenaryXV The difference is with Days of Future Past, it was done as an in-universe way to reset out of a difficult situation as you couldn't just replace X3 and didn't want to reboot the franchise. With JL, you already have a replacement movie that other films have always used as canon. James Wan for example, has stated he used Snyder's version of Aquaman rather than Whedon's.
Josstice League also doesn't even have interesting consequence that make it worth preserving like X3 did with the Pheonix that could be incorporated into other timelines. It doesn't create an alternate timeline that has a varied ripple effect. It's effectively a worse version of an existing movie so preserving it as canon offers nothing aside from the novelty of the situation. In other words, there is no storytelling benefit from it which means trying to make tie ins won't make much money and likely only confuse more casual fans. Plus, there's also the aspect that "preserving a twisted version of a film that not even the director and other cast and crew are happy to think about given the rough development".
You can come up with a million different ways of justifying the 2 being canon, but the bigger issue is that there's very little value in doing it.
