So E3 just happened and it got me thinking a lot about which of the announced games will be the next big game here on KRplus. The answer? None of them. You see, none of these games will be able to do what Minecraft and Fortnite have done on the platform. Not internet darling Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077, not Deathloop, or any other game. Those ads do in fact follow similar methods on cable TV though. The advertisers state their audience and the TV channel plays those ads next to the shows that follow those specifications, so you'd get toy and game advertisements next to children's shows, car ads next to news channels, etc. The biggest difference between Cable and youtube would be the size. Companies pay specific channels to host their ads, and they can easily check every single show that channel airs every week, while with youtube putting your ad on there means its brought up next to billions of videos and no way to know what content its placed next to

I love how Game of Thrones is the most popular media in world history (relative to release date) and is full of nudity, violence, and profanity.
AT&T is totally fine running ads on a show with full frontal nudity and suicide, but oooohhh boy better make sure no one says “darn” in that game play video.
Game of Thrones is on a premium channel with no advertising.

@@EctocoolerEI AT&T is fine monetizing videos on youtube about the show, and they're fine with actually owning HBO (basically, AT&T ultimately owns GoT). Why is HBO popular? because they're really good at doing sex, violence and mature content. They literally made their name on gritty historical dramas with a no holds barred approach to showing mature content: which is why they were chosen to make Game of Thrones in the first place. But, they won't support even videos showing footage from the RPG that THEY OWN THE LICENSE TO, inspired by the show. It's definitely an anti-game bias rather than an anti-maturity bias.

I'm playing final fantasy xii on xbox one and I visited the Cerobi Steppe early and got locked out of entering Balfonheim Port because of the sky watch that guards the area is there any way past this I'm not at that point yet but what are the steps to solve this problem in advance.
tom chan Just follow the story. You can't visit the entire world early (even though you can do quite a lot early but as you get through the game, you will be able to visit other areas.)

This is so depressing, and so true. It makes no sense for advertisers to not want their products featured on content that is so wildly popular, even with violence and nudity. I’m also not sure why advertisers are so afraid of those things and putting advertisements on videos that contain them. It’s not like people watching a Cyberpunk video with a Tide Pods ad before it are gonna think Tide has anything to do with the content or the game... and it would get their product more exposure to an incredibly large but apparently under appreciated and underestimated consumer base.

The coolest part is that Matpat's prediction was right. NONE of the newest releases came close to being the newest trend. But without a new trend, gaming channels needed something to fall back on. and they did: Minecraft (again). And even not counting the new Minecraft trend, I've noticed a lot of gaming channels are falling back onto old classics and making long term series. I guess we're lucky mario maker 2 came when it did...
