A few thoughts...
Kirby as a child: In Dream Land 1, it's established via the manual that he's "a little boy." Sure. I get that. But it doesn't change the fact that he's still a threat to Dream Land. For him to be SO powerful and SO naive is a dangerous combination. Notice in the script I never call him evil. I don't think he has ill-intent. Just because I say he's a villain doesn't mean that he's evil or has bad intentions. I mean it as he's a THREAT. That said, I've changed the title to avoid confusion.
Regarding Dyna Blade: Him helping the children after the scene I showed doesn't change the point -- he beat up someone BEFORE learning the whole story, like I tried to make clear in the script. Seeing that scene, he beats up the mom, THEN sees the kids, gives the screen a "cha-ching" gesture and steals them away, feeds them and teaches them to fly...stuff the MOTHER should be doing but can't because she was injured. I get it: Dyna "forgives" him in Revenge of Meta Knight...the same way Landia does in Return to Dream Land, but I see that more as plot convenience because Kirby is the "good guy," or them realizing they have to fight the "true" evil. But think about Kirby;s ACTIONS...if someone just came up to you and started beating you up for no apparent cause, would YOU forgive the person? See them as a hero? Probably not. And don't forget that EVERYONE he fights along the way is in NO WAY connected to the battle between him and Dyna...they're innocents caught in the middle.
Kirby's Avalanche: In both Epic Yarn and the original Kirby's Dream Land manual (those are the ones I can think of offhand, but there might be more), Kirby actually speaks English...or something that translates to English, so I think comments throwing these lines out as invalid might be premature. Yes, the game is non-canon, which I acknowledge, but the idea that Kirby ONLY speaks "poyo" isn't necessarily true...or it can be assumed that ALL of Avalanche's lines are translated poyo.
And yes, I know Avalanche is a version of puyo puyo...it was a joke. Obviously it's not a Candy Crush mod since, if nothing else, Candy Crush came DECADES later.
Kirby as a God of Destruction: That's in part 2 :)
I think that's all the major concerns I'm seeing in the comments. Like I said, I don't think he's intentionally villainous. He's a neutral agent of chaos who gets pointed in a direction and just GOES. But when you look at his actions in the games I call out, a lot of times he's doing more harm than good. Does he do good? Absolutely. But he's still a threat.

The reason kirby is impulsive is because he’s canonically a kid, he’s also made from the same material as zero which is the main reoccurring energy antagonist, another instance of the same type of energy being good is gooey in dream land two, a sentient being apart from the pack that is zero.
He is not made by the same material as zero, zero is made by dark matter which is pure negativity, totally not Kirby

In Kirby right back at ya (even though the show itself isn’t canon), it looks into part of Kirby’s backstory. Metaknight talks about how Kirby and him are both warriors, but during the flashback when metaknight is like “yeah I got sent to planet pop star just like you”, he also mentions how Kirby is a little bit weaker than him at the moment because he is a child.

I mean, it’s not like kirby fights anyone who isn’t a mind controlled foe, and once they aren’t mind controlled, he only fights them for the sake of practicing and entertaining the waddle dees.

Or at the very least, he excluded a ton of information and context to paint a biased picture. The time Kirby sank Meta Knight's ship and Meta Knight says that to the crew? It was because they wanted to stay behind to fight Kirby. Shortly afterwards, they apologize and everyone evacuates. Kirby did not watch a ship full of dead people. In DinoBlade? He was ignorant about the destruction because he was, ya know, minding his own business fast asleep. When he wakes up and sees all the chaos, he goes off to try and stop it not on some revenge based warpath like MatPat claims. And when he finds out what the bird was doing and why, he helps feed the babies as well as show them how to fly and the mother bird thanks him for it.
Basically, Mat's not even giving the viewers half the story in this part. He's cutting out bits and pieces entirely that fit the view of his claims without giving any of the full context or information because if the viewers had that, it would easily contrast with the tone he's trying to set for this episode. Hopefully he'll address all this in Part 2 because as it is, Part 1 has just been intellectually dishonest and anyone with knowledge on Kirby has to suspend their disbelief far too much to even be remotely entertained by this theory.

DPowered Smith He is pretty wrong. Like in his Dedede is a hero and Magolor was manipulating Kirby, all Kirby knew on Dedede was that he stole food and how that was bad. The plot could've been avoided if Dedede just talked to Kirby about it, which he tries to do at the very end, but Kirby is busy trying to put the Star Rod back. For Magolor, Return heavily implies that Magolor is being controlled by the Master Crown, and Magolor does a good job passing off as Kirby's friend. Kirby likes helping his friends, so he saw no reason to assume Magolor was lying. Heck, Magolor actually tries to make up for all the trouble afterwards by making theme parks for Kirby and friends like in the Dream Collection or Dedede's Drum Dash. Heck, one could argue that destroying Nova wasn't all bad, just look at Star Dream.

Regarding Kirby’s Adventure, breaking the Star Rod causes the people of Dream Land to stop having good dreams and with Nightmare sealed in the fountain they would be having nightmares every single night. Kirby assaulted King Dedede’s forces to help the people since the King didn’t explain himself.

Seriously, as a Kirby fan myself, I can tell you that the lore of this franchise goes really deep. From the mysterious beings known as the Ancients to the magical artifacts that they created like the Master Crown and Galactic Nova.
Heck, the whole “Kirby is a god of destruction” thing is outright confirmed in Star Allies, when it’s stated that Void, the main villain of the game, is related to both Kirby and Dark Matter.

As a Kirby fan, I DECLINE this theory, as Kirby always gets the job done beating up eldritch gods, and even in Avalanche, he was just delivering ROAST AFTER ROAST.
According to the actual lore of Kirby he was created by void after it encountered a large amount of positive energy/vibes. And Zero (a recurring enemy in the early games) was created by void after it encountered a large amount of negative energy/vibes

A theory that kirby IS a hero is found in Triple Deluxe, where Kirby goes out of his way to save King Dedede, not caring about cake, but instead about a friend. Planet Robobot has Kirby consuming evil mechanization, as he feels that it's HIS JOB to save the world. No ulterior motives here.

Vera Slepoj he was awoken 200 years earlier (if we are going to use the anime as an example, even though it isn’t canon) than normal. He can’t speak, but can think a little bit. He has not matured fully during his training sleep as Octo-Khan (however you spell his name in Japanese) caused the Starship to go towards Planet Popstar and crash land in Dream Land. Like Meta Knight explained to Tiff in episode 3 of the anime. Kirby is the youngest, yet most powerful Star Warrior in the Galaxy Army as he can inhale his opponents and spit them out as stars or copy their abilities. Also like Meta Knight said, he is the “newest generation” of Star Warriors

I always thought of Kirby as being more neutral or even lawful neutral than chaotic neutral, cause even when Kirby does do bad stuff it’s not necessarily intentional and he thinks he’s either doing the right thing, or he’s being childishly naive and a bit selfish and not quite thinking straight. Personally whenever I think of a Chaotic Neutral character I think of someone more like Akuma from the Street Fighter series but Kirby in my opinion is more like either lawful neutral or just neutral neutral

A long while back, Pat stated he was aware we hate multi-part theory videos. This is why. Plenty of times he never bothers completing the theory and just leaves it hanging to jump to the next topic that catches his attention. I understand that with a successful monetized channel, you need to keep up with what is currently trending like the supposed bane of his existence, FNAF. But still, either commit to finishing a multi-part theory or don't bother doing multi-parters in the first place.
Can already tell you ahead of time he’s going to talk about the already established theory about Kirby being a reincarnation of Void Termina after collecting purely good energy.
At least that’s my assumption judging from what he says part 2 will be like
ValnorSith or that he needs to rephrase has theory because his theory got debunked by some guy in the comment section and a guy named Meteorz.

In the Kirby movie, I think they say something similar - that Kirby was actually made by E.N.E.M.Y but crashed onto dreamland. Meta Knight thought he was going to grow up to become a star warrior so he helps train him. In the movie Kirby has to choose to defeat Nightmare and the organization, or abandon his friends for his selfish impulses.
NME didn't make kirby, they made meta knight.

Sakurai himself was so scared of his own creation that he decided to nerf Kirby to extreme lows.
Kirby is naive, nearly completely pure, and doesn’t seem to fully understand the difference between good and evil; despite this, while it seems he may descend from the Dark Matter species, he chooses to be on the side of good when he finally realizes what’s going on.

1. Kirby did not directly cause every problem, Star Allies immediately comes to mind to support this.
2. After Kirby realized Dynablade was a mother, Kirby helped feed and raise her children (which you failed to mention/show).

The problems that Kirby DID cause occurred only because Kirby was manipulated by an evil character, Kirby originally intended to solve a different problem that had occurred ( Sun and Moon fighting, everyone being unable to dream, etc.), only to have the real villain swoop in and make things worse, which was able to happen not because Kirby didn't care to ask questions, but because
4. Kirby is canonically an INFANT, (which you also failed to mention/show) meaning he is physically incapable of distinguishing right from wrong, typically follows his instinct, and tends to prioritize food.
Also, in Squeak Squad, Kirby probably assumed Dedede stole his cake because he knows Dedede has stolen food in the past.

Kirby 64: The crystal shards. Kirby gets sucked into the whole mess cause a crystal bops him on the head during what he thinks is a meteor shower. If you don't 100% the game, big bad possesses your fairy buddy's parent(?), if you do 100% the shards, the crystal expels the big bad as O2 (02?)... and basically without a second thought Kirby flys off to destroy Dark Star and the big bad.
Sounds like an absolute *villain*, doesn't he. How dare he charge blindly into almost certain death for other people like that.

Some rebuttals
1. Kirby's an infant, of course he wouldn't ask questions. His perception of the world is very black and white.
2. Magalor wasn't really a villain. He was corrupted by the power of the Master Crown. You know this from his appearances in Dream Collection and that one free game they released as an expansion of the side mode from Robobot.
3. If you look on Magalor's screen when he's saying "Hey, go become Dragonborn," it's showing a very clear reason why he should fight. Landia shot down the Starcutter. Magalor's lying does not mean Kirby's the villain.
4. Dedede has stolen ALL the food in Dream Land
5. The Halberd is a war machine.
And Kirby doesn't eat the posessed people in Dream Land 3, he can't eat bosses and all he does to them is exorcise them.
Shurikens Miner Fist, it’s only stated that he is an infant in the anime, which is not canon. And of course Magolor was evil, he stated in the EX mode of Kirby Return to Dreamland that the Master Crown Can allow you to conquer the universe (but yes, you’re right about the crown corrupting him).

@@hollow1279 Honestly, I treat the Anime as Schrodinger's Canon. If it fits in the games, it's canon. If not, it's not.
However, the Anime also shaped the series as we know it. The title logo of most of the games is based off of the Anime's logo. And most things about Kirby are brought over as well. One of the most major things being his infantile mannerisms. He can't really talk (with only a few examples after the Anime's airing, since Avalanche isn't really canon, considering it's really just Puyo Puyo), only making basic sounds.
Also: mentioning that he is a child, kirby doesn't have a clear understanding of what death is, or murder for that matter. He may be a force of destruction, but he doesnt really understand what ue's doing.
To Kirbys deffence
He literally a baby. Canonically, he wasent supppsed to wake up for another thousand years as a fully formwd Star Warrior. Meta Knight its sort of what Kirby would be, fully matured and grown.
He seems mindless, sort of because he almost is, the same as most infabts. They dont ask, they just...do.

I think thats just in the anime. If I remember correctly, in the games (the manual of the first I think) he is described as a young boy and in some games he talks. So not and adult but not a baby either.

Kirby was made as a literal super weapon by Nightmare, in fact Kirby like the other star warriors were created as monsters bur rebelled against their creator, Nightmare (or eNeMeE). Of course the games and anime are separate universes but hay, if more people know about the amazing show that is or rather WAS a great show (its relatively old).
