I respect MatPat for trying to not make this scary. I often get a feeling that might get jumpscared or otherwise freaked out when I find or am about to find some secret inside a game just because I did a few times when I was younger. I feel like so many games make their secrets somewhat scary even though most of them aren't in the end.

I watched and understood pretty much everything. I can't believe you guys are this selfless. Thank you for making my day a little better
Maybe we can have a storyline next time? That's pretty much standard for ARGs -- it's in the name, after all. You build a world, and then spoon-feed it to the players as they discover more and more about it. That's my favorite part, not the cryptography and dense puzzles. It can also encourage more lateral and creative thinking by allowing players to theorize about the plot rather than just following a linear series of tasks

This is the reason I got interested in how spectrograms work. I recently got the chance to learn how they work, which made me very excited. Then I spent about fifteen minutes just staring at the webpage that explained how it works. I didn't understand any of it. I asked my boss for help and after an hour of them trying to explain it, I could vaguely read two types of spectrograms. Safe to say, I was told to work on an easier project instead 😂

Hey Mat Pat, can you do a walk through on how to do those things? Such as tuning up your screen brightness and the audio thing? I've tried looking up the screen brightness thing, but my computer seems to be different than the ones they show. Mine seems to have different controls. I know your a theorist, not a technician, but it would help me a lot. C'mon man, I can't do your challenge without it!

Aww he was so proud of the ARG he made, it was probably frustrating to recognize that only a handful of dedicated players actually experience content past the earlygame (this is the case for all ARGs). So, he made a video where he could narrate and walkthrough his entire fancy treasure hunt and show it off the casuals. Cute.
Ok, thanks to Master Tracker, I can clearly say to you that Gate 2 is my favorite of them all. I guess I just like the mishmash of creepy grim things that, ultimately, lead up to the light (the biggest of metaphors here) that reveals the key and the end of this section of the ARG. Reminds me of those creepy haunted mazes we get to see in many funfairs, only of the Internet and without any jumpscares or any actual threat that the actual Dark Web has. 😁😁👏👏
Also, that GRAVEYARD zip, where did you find those images? They're absolutely amazing and if they were done at least in part by the graphic designer for the ARG, then all props to them.

This is the problem with anyone who makes a great puzzle or deep poem or writing. They need to explain so everything is understood and so people understand how awesome it is. Also the people who made it through this is awesome and MatPat is always awesome. I think the three that made the key website deserve free merch! Also this is amazing. I don’t do it myself but I love that it exists and that people are making their way through this. All of this and all the people involved are amazing.

I actually went through the gates 3 to 6 in ONE day just in preperation of gate 7. Have to say, i kinda regretting it, because I was kinda broken after good 18 hours of non stop puzzle solving. (including gate 7)
Still have to repeat this ARG (after forgetting all the solutions of course) without crunsh time, just to give it the attention it diserves :)
