I remember when ninja first switched to mixer where everyone was talking about how he would be irrelevant in a few months and how it was the worst decision he ever made. I always knew that Ninja knew what he was doing, but MatPat shows just how smart Ninja actually was in this decision.

Here’s an idea: Make a Theory about how someone would go about retiring from KRplus, because as far as I know, I don’t think anyone who does KRplus as a job has successfully retired from KRplus. People have quit KRplus, yes, but they have never jumped from KRplus straight to retirement. I get that KRplus is still a comparatively young website, so no one would have a chance to do this, but I think it would be an interesting topic to discuss.
Maybe because KRplus is only about 15 years old ? And retiring usually start after someones 50, and essentially talking nobody have worked on youtube for 15 years and retirement usually takes 25 or more years

Taxes, if you have a lot of assets, you have to make a lot of money to be able to pay for the taxes $100,000 a year is needed to maintain $10,000,000 of assets.
Well that would be true naively, but remember this is an average. And because KRplus/twitch/mixer is very volatile it is more like 50k this year, literally 0 next year, and 76k the year after that

Also a huge problem with twitch is it being picky who they enforce ToS on. Good example is Alinity cat throwing a month back.
Think the same thing doesn't happen on ANY other platform? I can think of plenty of youtubers that have done some pretty horrible stuff and didn't get punished because they pull in the views. Money is everything to the corporations.
@@paulthompson8793 Literally no one said only twitch has that problem. Just because it's a common mistake, doesnt mean we should excuse it.

For youtube that's considered the norm though especially with it's constantly shifting policies so noone ever really knows what the actual rules are at any given time and big youtubers to get punished every now and then. Just look at PewDiePie and Logan. Twitch on the other hand hasn't changed their ruleset at random like youtube does.
KRplus isn't always as blatant about their protection of their bigger stars while Twitch has been more brazen about it recently where two entirely different people can break the same rule and only one of them gets punished for it and that's what's pissing people off, Twitch has made it quite public that they regard their high end streamers as being better than everyone else and will bend the rules for them and not even give them a temporary ban. For instance in Alinity's case all people wanted was to at least see her get suspended for her actions and that didn't even happen and she's not even the worst of them. There are streamers on the site that produce near pornagraphic material that don't see punishment on a site that permabans you for that exact thing even if by mistake.

What’s the yellow portion of the logo for? I know green is GameTheory, and red is FilmTheory, but what’s the new yellow one in the intro for?

I have been using audible for a while and I love it. It is an amazing app. I sleep to it basically every day. I just finished listening to “The Biology of Belief”. It’s a great book and I really recommend it. Anyway, great video Matpat.
