At least we learn something,i don't know about you,but i find elephant biology interesting
Fotis Manolopoulos bro same. Never said I didn’t like it. Elephants are wack dude, like what.
Remember that episode of mythbusters when that elephant kept freaking out when they was trying to see if it would react to a mouse like in the cartoons.
@@tthung8668 maybe, but they also need to eat,so at least the carnivores spend much energy (they probably eat a lot)
@Knavire yee,by that logic you can count dinosaurs. There were dinos with the size of buildings, although the key word here is SLOW. All of these acted like elephants, did stuff slow. Some carnivorous dinosaurs like for example Allosaurus could reach incredible speeds, but just for a sprint, not for long time, these behemoths can fight you moving like crazy for 15 minutes without problem. This is why behemoths are harder to prove possible.

Subnautica video, sorry
Jonathan Merriman I have. It’s excellent
He’s talking about how crazy it is that they’re so big and run really fast but no one is talking about how they can breathe fire
that would be an easy one. specialized bladders designed to grow bacteria which produce a flammable gas and their choice of activation-spark.
Didn't he already cover that for the fire-type pokemon vid?
Yet we don’t have an irl fire breathing animal yet we have ones that can conduct electricity, punch with sufficient force to shatter bones while being the size of a chihuahua, and coat themselves in ultra poisonous goop. Real life is wack.
@@donaldduck7078 it's not that kind of bladder man...
Simple, they have specialized organs that store some flammable substance (pokemon went with chemicals, mh went with powder) and they spit that out mixed with their saliva, the chamical/powder is water resistant so that it doesn't get extinguished before it's exhaled
Austin: "The monsters aren't as big as in..."
Me: Monster Hunter. These are babies compated to some in Monster Hunter.
Austin: "...Shadow of the Colossus."
Me: ...would he be sued if he actually talked about Monster hunter during a Dauntless video ?
Nah. But Monster Hunter creatures are comparable in size to dauntless on average, sure there's a few outliers like Lao Shan Lung or Fatalis but it's really not that big of a difference. Shadow of the Colossus consists of absolutely massive chonkers for the most part.
@@darthplagueis13 uh....dalamadur is as big as a fukin island. In fact the rotten vale in world came from a dead dalamadur. you can see his skeleton making up the map if you open the map.
Also a little boy called zorah magdaros which is literally like an island.a little tiny boy called laviente.
Then we have the giants like gogmazios, darhen morhan, shen gaoren, ceadeus, dire miralis, lao shan lung, jhen morhan, which are as big as a football field.
The shadow of the colossus comparison doesnt even make any sense cuz the colossi are...not animals, unlike in dauntless and monster hunter.
probably, he's getting paid to do a dauntless video
@@kato093 Yes but the fact that you just named a significant portion of the very big bois in Mon Hun kinda defeats your point. Most Mon Hun monsters, on average, are of a comparable size to the ones in Dauntless. If your going for a game where the average monster is much larger then the average in either game Shadow of the Colossus is pretty much perfect as, if im remembering right, theres only one or two colossi that are even close to the sizes of mons in Dauntless.
When being payed by the studio behind a game to talk about their game... it would be quite inadvisable to speak of their competition directly. Ergo, no reference to the clearly comparable material. Pretty 1+1 on that one.

Hongyi Duan Austin is using a game where magic exists to prove his theory instead of using a game where the monsters are part of the ecosystem and have their own niche in it.
This would've been nice to read at the top.
@Hongyi Duan We most likely have a lack of reason because there is no reasoning to be ushered for this bland travesty of a "game". When boiled down, it's just a blatant rip off of a far greater franchise that even bootlegs scoff at. Also, learn to type. I hear elementary school offers good opportunities for an education in typing.

I think you misunderstood how Adenosene Triphosphate works. It isnt reassembled everytime its created. The Reaction with Glucose only takes the energy from the Glucose to put the third Phosphate Group back on. This is then splits off again, when the energy is used. ADP + Phosphate → ATP + H2O
The simple answer to this is dinosaurs.
*Also I'm sitting here wondering how he hasn't heard of Monster Hunter world yet*
He has heard of it but dauntless is paying him.
I can think of multiple theories off the top of my head, like “How does Tobi-Kadachi generate electricity?” Or “Is mud armour (Barroth and Jyurotous) actually as good as shown in game?”
@@tabnk2 question 1- canonically, static electricity.... doesn't take much explanation....
Question 2- undeniably no.... unless it were obscenely thick layers of mud, and even then it wouldn't do much to stop a sword or especially a bullet until it dried at which point it would restrict the movement of the creature and more than likely break when they moved.... creatures irl use mud as a cooling system, not as armor, and can't build up enough mud to even come close to being even better armor than simple cloth
@@tabnk2 Also, the major thing mud armour does in game is it changes the monsters elemental weknesses, for raw weapons the mud doesnt change much but having mud changes what elements affect it, which makes sense, since something covered in mud would be less conductive than in it's base state, therefore you need to wash the mud off.

The SCIENCE of Elder Dragons, or a Matpat lore video on how big a Dalamadur could be based on the Skeleton in the Rotten Vale are still things I want to see. Especially seeing as MH is the senior series and has their flagship beastie in Smash Ultimate.
A MH theory about the dragon war and the creation of the Hunter's Guild would be cool.
