Well I believe he might have done a mistake here. Let me clarify for you: Mixer, as a platform isn't just here to gain views from the audience, for the complete understanding let me clarify something, MAT at least here has only done math to tell that the investment isn't worth it in terms of DIRECT money form Mixer, and ya he is right but just think about it Microsoft has done the next move for attracting more customers, LET YOURSELF KNOWN AND ATTRACT PEOPLE, this is like one of the most basic move out there, but even after that let us take the worst case scenario where Mixer fails, but if there is something that can't fail, then it's X box, you see gaming is populated with three giants, AMAZON, SONY AND MICROSOFT out of three Sony has games and people but no technological superiority, Amazon have audience and technology advantage but no games and Microsoft have technology and games but no audience, I am sure you have heard of cloud computing and X Box pass. They are at least two years ahead than anyone else and all they need to do is to have an audience, they have to shout hey we have some new tricks you might want to see with there games and technology and everyone will be amazed if executed perfectly. The best thing they can do is not charge people, let the free subscription float in and introduce people to the world of X box pass and it's own advantage. I am prrety sure this move will be followed by embedding of X box account with Mixer ones where you can just upload while you are playing on X box, and that's the big picture. You think people at Microsoft don't realise that, BILL might not be the Ceo but he has some influence over Satya and remember how he drives Netscape out of business

It's not okay for Microsoft in the long-run because when a behemoth company like them loses that much money off of a branch of their investments, they see it as a huge loss. Which it is. You can't just say, "Eh, whatever," when you lose that much money.

You dont say, "Oh well. Another investment has paid for it" because that investment paid for itself and was generating you a profit. Whereas the one that tanked was a waste
Mixer is a different entity with its own huge team making money based on Microsoft's budget choices. Mixer could fall apart if Microsoft doesn't believe that it is earning those investments in employees and other things, so this could go horribly wrong for Mixer's staff particularly, but not Microsoft.
There's one important detail that you miss when comparing the audiences of Twitch/mixer versus KRplus. KRplus is mainly video on demand, while Twitch is live streaming... This means these streamers are fighting for the eyes of the viewer pool that is watching at a given moment just like TV, while KRplus creators share their audiences with each other without having to compete unless they, d'oh, go live.

Everyone always talks about the points raised in a Game Theorists video, butI think at this point it’s also important to mention just how impressive the graphics & the video editing have been lately. The Game Theorists has been developing so much over the years as both a team and as a channel, and it’s been wonderful to see. Older videos still have graphics that sort of toe the line between complex and simplistic as well - it’s that lovable charm that makes The Game Theorists what it is - but this video absolutely NAILS that balance. Keep up the good work guys! ✌🏽

I’d recommend Chuggaaconroy, hands-down. Even though he isn’t “small” anymore (he passed the 1M mark a while ago), he’s been doing KRplus LP’s since near the very beginning of the site. And his stuff is GREAT. He always goes the extra mile, sharing small bits of information and trivia that one would never know otherwise… not to mention, he puts a lot, and I mean a LOT of work into every single video. If anyone deserves more recognition for his beyond stellar work, it’s Chugga.

If there's the one channel which is underrated, the first one to come to mind is YuB.

At a point, Mumbo had to work exclusively on his Filming Channel because some mess happened with his primary one. It was so long ago, I couldn't remember. It was around the halfway mark of HermitCraft Season 5. But yeah, he lost his intro and outro because of a bloody second of time the song used as a beat. Happy this is being fixed

2yrs later still relevant. The biggest problem with Twitch imo, though affiliate wouldn't consider myself even at level of "small streamer or community" more like "low class", is the amount of "middle class" streamers that refuse to have any kind of position or call out inconsistencies like KRplus creators have. It really lends to the "upper class" being able to get away with way too much.
Hats off to you good sir on a much needed analysis still, in some ways unfortunately, relevant.

There has been a creator that i admired the most and it is yub.
This man has struggled with the same situation as every middle youtuber out there and i have seen how unfair it has been for him. He gets demonitized sometimes for no reason and has to work really hard just to keep trying to make all the yubscribers happy. It would make my day to spread a little sunshine on a youtuber to give him some moddivation and to keep his career still up and running.
I like how alot of comments here advertise some of the "mid-tier" creators.

Bro please! I've watched that man for nearly 5 years straight now, and he hasn't failed to entertain me every single video. Even when Minecraft was considered"cringey" I still watched him just for his personality and the fun things he did every episode. To this day I still watch him, and it's sad to see that he's basically stuck at 1.9 million subs. He definitely deserves the shout-out though.

He proved the cost effectiveness of advertising on KRplus over other platforms, and like barely weeks later, advertisers flipped out at the "risk" of not-friendly content and pulled their money, causing the adpocalypse. They'd probably all be making more money now if they advertised more on KRplus, to all audiences on all types of content.

To be VERY honest, Game Theory isn't perfect, there are still flaws. What people seem to get confused by is the difference between criticism, and hate.
Criticism usually gives advice to make the content better but hate is just insulting, harassing, or doing anything negative to said creator to be hateful.
I'm just being honest, it kinda sickens me when another KRplusr criticizes Game Theory and gets hate from it.

I'm talking about when someone tells you someone is a bad creator or person because somehow they secretly know all their intentions, and they turn the most innocuous actions that any normal person would take into a "take down" "proving" that someone is a "hypocrite" and so on. Viewers on KRplus tend to buy it 100% and bandwaggon the hate, like they live off of it.
