I'm not saying the shoes can't work. If they help Chell with fall damage they have to work in some other way like changing or reinforcing her anatomy to withstand G forces (a unit of acceleration) that high with no damage at which point I don't see the need for them to be boots aside from style points. I'm just saying they literally cannot change acceleration (unless they can bend time).

She isn't just like standing on her tip toes the long fall boots are essentially a pair of high heels the way she has to keep her feet. Like 4-5" high heels.
If you are only subtracting 1-2" 1 inch heels are tinny like lots of hiking boots will have a 1 inch heal.
Yeah she is on her toes, knees bent it's like how they teach you to stand when playing soccer so you will always be ready to sprint.
This also makes me want grab my heeless high heels to see if I can even do the soccer knees bent thing while wearing them.
