Rosalina's height might be explained away by her living on a spacefaring vessel. Basically, she's so tall because she experienced lesser gravity while growing. And then magic (she's also often seen floating) helps her body to adapt to MarioWorld's "heightened" normal gravity.

May I remind you that Bowser was literally raised by a wizard and seems to be a wizard himself. We see him use magic several times during Galaxy, both to attack Mario and to run away when he's defeated. Maybe he's using his magic to change his size.
Of course he is but that doesn't change how difficult it is to figure out his real size
Bowser is grown into a giant by a wizard in New super Mario bros u so its canonically something he does. And unfortunately other then the height itself there's no other visible change to show its in use, so knowing his true height may not even be possible.
It could also be his height change because there’s more than one bowser. Could explain how he keeps coming back even after you make him fall in lava 20 times.

Hey MatPat, I’ve had this question that has been driving me insane. It’s sort of an og theory question too.
So in Bowser’s Inside Story, Bowser does this incredible sneeze with the help of the bros. The sneeze is so insane, it moves an entire ship! So I was thinking, how much force would you need to create a sneeze like that? Plus, what would happen to your body if you sneezed like that?

Regular sneezes usually have the force of an EF5 tornado, so I don't think much would happen to the body. I can't answer the amount of force need for that though.

Muscles weigh more than fat, so BMIs are somewhat inaccurate, when it comes to the whole general concept of health. Maybe Wario was in the “morbidly obese” category from the combination of his muscles and his fat.

The problem with the BMI is it doesn't include muscle density so a bodybuilder like Ronnie Coleman has a BMI of 41.4("Obese") even though he's in a healthy condition.

Based on their depiction I don't think Mario or walugi have much muscle... But matpat didn't mention that being slightly underweight can be perfectly fine and peach and daisys bmi wouldn't alarm most doctors they'd just recommend trying to eat more.
Kittens still being overweight isn’t good even if it is only by a little bit, sure it’s not as bad as being like 15-20lbs overweight but it still will have some effect on joints along with other things

One of my fav things that happens on this channel, is when Austin and Matt mock each other.
I have always hated BMI. Too many athletes and movie stars, with lots of muscle are considered overweight, despite being pretty fit from what I can tell. Not caring abut body fat or shape seems like a bad way of measuring health. Still love Wii fit and your theories and it was some fun additional information to see. Thanks as always!
When my brother was in elementary school, they checked his BMI, and it said he was obese. He was so skinny that you could see his ribs when he had his shirt off. He was probably underweight, in fact. The BMIs are so unreliable. I'm glad someone else acknowledges it.

If “Mario and Luigi _Bowser’s inside history_” taught me anything, is that the adrenaline in Bowser’s body can change his height. He can even become giant in some occasions

11:35 BMI is largely considered crap by the Fitness Industry as a whole as it doesn't take muscle density into consideration. Although, since it would be impossible to measure Body Fat % in this case, I guess BMI is the best you can do for video game characters. :p

BMI isn’t great, but for most people it’s good enough to get a rough idea of what’s going on.
Sure, it doesn’t take muscle into account, but unless you’re a professional athlete that is constantly working on their muscles it shouldn’t be too far off. It works for maybe 90% of people.

By the fitness industry, yes, but not by doctors. Unless you're ripped and you're OBVIOUSLY an exception, you'll be fine to use the BMI scale as a range of healthy weights.

The characters are always jumping and exercising, so they probably have more muscle mass, which weights more than fat. So they could be healthier still weighting more

Thats kind of the issue. The BMI score doesn't apply to everyone and is kind of outdated but is still used by most doctors. It irks me that for my regular doctors visits I'm listed as "obese" as one of my "issues" despite being perfectly healthy and not even LOOKING overweight!
