Indeed. It's like they prized their children as trophies, or some other kind of object, as opposed to an actual child, the single most important relationship you can have with another human besides your spouse.
One would hope, based on his monologue at the end of Pizzeria Simulator, that Henry has come to understand the foolishness of this, but
It's hard to say, he watched the younger one very much and worried about him, installed a bunch of cameras, and even promised to assemble him. It's not clear with the elder either, but he clearly maintained a relationship with him even after what he did, and he obeyed him
I'd love to see MatPat revisit this theory and see what still holds up

@@kraglynn I don't follow the lore as extensively as others, but i know that in the Freddy Files, the description for Michael reads as "Michael Afton, the older brother, AKA you". So yeah, Michael can't be Henry's son since he's explicitly stated to be an Afton.
Second, we know that William told Michael to go to the Sister Location place saying his sister, Elizabeth is there. So yeah, Elizabeth and Michael are both Aftons.
Third, in the newest game Security Breach, in the room full of post-it notes, you'll see a recreation of the Afton family using the security bots. You see William, his wife which suspiciously looks similar to Balora, Michael, Baby as a stand-in for Elizabeth, and the last one is a figure with no head which basically screams crying child who's head was bitten off in the bite of '83.

If Michael WAS Henry’s son, Scott wouldn’t have chosen a British voice for him. Henry is very clearly American while William is very clearly British.

Another detail that supports Henry being CC’s father is the Phsycic Friend Fredbear cameras. In the books Henry is very much described to be a guy who builds toys and robots and gadgets for his daughter, for her to play with or to keep watch of her. If there is someone who would build plushie-toy robots with cameras to keep his kid safe it would definitely be Henry
Hence why I believe crying child is Sammy and while he's all sad, he's probably building the robot versions of Charlie

Watching older theories is kinda helpful. It gives perspective on what could've been, what lasted and turned out to be true, and a few things that other fans and I might've missed or forgotten about. Nice to revisit them :D
This has to be one of Matt’s most refreshing theories. And I honestly like the story of this being Henry’s story as apprised to Afton. Afton remains the villain but he isn’t apart of the family
I don't like the idea simply because it's compelling to see Aftons son trying to undo his father's work. William having no connection other than being a murderer who worked with Henry just isn't as compelling.

Yellow and purple are the opposites of eachother on the colour wheel. It is probably meant to represent the rivalry between Henry and William. Just a little symbolism, but makes a lot of sense.
That would make sense because as purple guy changes colour so did Henry Orange yellow and what ever that other one was in between.
Both Golden Freddy and Glitchtrap share the same colors.

Rewatching, and it’s funny to see him say micheal is Henry’s son, when at the end of pizza sim, he talks to him like a stranger: “and to you, my brave volunteer”
Something I realized watching this, Michael has no room in fnaf 4, my theory is that sense Michael is not exactly stated to be cc's brother what if Michael was just set to watch Henry's kid when the two would work together. This might explain why Michael always bullied cc less of just brothers jokeing with each other and more of Michael just lashing out as a result of being forced into watching kids he doesn't like.

The only important thing about this episode is that Henry’s last name is Emily since we retconned it to be Afton’s house again
So, upon rewatching this and a bunch of other theories I do think Matpat is right on almost every part of this. The FNAF 4 house is Henry's house, it is on top of Sister Location, Crying Child/Evan did see Charlotte's murder, etc. However, I think what actually happened in the lead-up to Midnight Motorist is not William luring Evan to Fazbear's to traumatize him, but William breaking into Henry's house to kidnap Charlie and kill her at Fazbear's. What probably happened is Evan heard the noise of the window shattering and went into his sister's room to investigate, climbed out the broken window, and followed the footprints to the restaurant. The locked door could just be the fault of a forgetful child with a bully for an older brother forgetting to unlock his door before closing it, or just a faulty lock.

If the funtime animatronics have sound illusion discs, then why were they so determined to scoop out our insides to use us to blend in?
For the footprints outside the windows, the suit that William would use to kill kids was a SPRINGLOCK suit, which can cause springlock failures and possibly kill him, so now he needed a suit that wouldn't have any animatronic parts or springlocks, say a fabric suit.
