There aren't any prominant human zombie viruses, but there are zombie fungi that infect ants and small rodents/insects. So I'd be careful what you say, because diseases have evolved to infect larger hosts in the past.

How are zombies going to fly a plane? I mean you could guess maybe a zombie or infected individual gets on a plane, but at some point they block travel to other countries, if the symptoms of infection are known and a sick looking person wants to get on a plane even if they don't have the T-Virus they probably aren't getting allowed on a plane. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure airport security would notice a zombie shambling up if the virus has been talked about in the media and/or notice a person displaying symptoms of infection prior to zombification.
Edit: Just realized forgot the virus can be dormant for a couple days as well as hours. My appolgies, however it's possible a test could be devised to find out if someone is infected though whether or not that test is able to be carried out on multiple people boarding a plane is unknown and probably not likely.

Logically, the zombies would never end up on a plane or boat cuz, you know, _zombies._

he also neglected to factor in that the virus can infect canines, rodents and, most importantly, corvidae.
as seen in the games, the dogs and the crows move much more quickly than the human zombies do, which would speed up the spread of the virus greatly.

Planes are a tough spot because any smart country would immediately cancel any flights, and while plausible, it's unlikely that an infected individual would make the whole flight.

Easily, someone could have been exposed, then gotten onto a flight out. Even smaller cities have roughly hundreds of flights coming in and out, and since it was in the water supply even a layover visitor could have picked it up. Not to mention that the T virus in raccoon city was covered up as much as it could be at first, so.

Zombies are so improbable. First off, rigor mortis. Even if a virus forced a person to come back to life, they probably wouldn't be able to move.
