The truth is you don’t need to adhere to someone’s cannon for a crossover because there are no set rules for dimensional hopping. You just need a dimensional civilization or technology to justify why properties are crossing over.

You missed something. Final Fantasy connects to Monster Hunter World. The behemoth from final fantasy takes a visit to the New World. This also connects to The Witcher. Geralt of Rivia also took a trip to the New World to hunt down an Ancient Leshen. Monster Hunter has also had crossovers with other Nintendo and Capcom properties.

Though even if Marvel and DC crossover if I'm not mistaken is canon, as far I recall TTGo isn't. Though sometimes weird connections are real, like Sentai Universe and Hasbro Universe being technically canon with Marvel. Though I think it isn't coincidence that Hasbro own Power Rangers now (what is Toho licence) what also was owned previously by Disney.

Canon in PR, but that doesn't mean other way around (I'm not deep enough into TMNT to know if LA turtles even are canon). Also it is not clear is PR is canon with Sentai Universe. We would need wait for what Hasbro do with that..
This means.. Thanos' snap didn't just wipe out half of the MCU, it wiped out, half of the entire game universe... Imagine if Tony knew that before he died, he'd probably feel 300 times more achieved than what he had thinking only half of the MCU was wiped.

Technically since Cloud is in Smash, and has made multiple cameos in Kingdom Hearts, that means that Kingdom Hearts and by extension, Disney, is connected to every single franchise in Smash Bros.
I'd agree if I didn't put my mind to why Smash bros and PS All-stars Battle Royale were omitted while Tony Hawk and Disney Infinity were not. The one logical conclusion I came to is that the latter games were explained either in universe or in video as canon while the former is explained as a child playing with toys. If you don't believe me, check out MatPat's theory about the symbolism within Smash and how it ties to Sakurai's relationship with the franchise throughout his professional career

Well, why that is even a thing? I hate those forced shared universes theories. Majority of crossovers exist in they own universes, they mean literally nothing! Term "shared universe" reply to several series taking place in one universe for convenience (what always was a thing like with Sherlock Holmes and Arsen Lupin). And in order for multiverse to be a thing it need to be established beforehand. Sentai Universe and Hasbro Universe are technically sub-parts of Marvel Multiverse because this company was involved in creation of both, even if they are own thing nowadays, with majority of products being unrelated. I remind that even crazy theory like Pokemon-Mother Shared Universe need have good reason to be valid (and in this case there are many, starting from fact that creators of Mother franchise are co-owners of Pokmeon Company).
