The most famous icon from Star Wars is arguably Darth Vader. You see him everywhere and his story is pretty much the center of all the main movies. He is synonymous with power - what with the force chokes and other crazy tricks he pulls in the series and it's other properties. Today, Austin is going to figure out just how powerful Darth Vader really is and if he may just be the most powerful character in Star Wars.

There's a force technique that enhances the body.somthing yoda uses himself, and jedi are already very durable.
@@hulyasagr5862 obviusly the force explains everything, but still. The main reason divers need equipment when going deep, isn't much the oxygen, but the pressure equalizer. Vader was in his prime during this moment. The lack of limbs does not hamper a force users ability Sidious noted that Vader's powers were limited not because of his injuries but because of Vader's psychological problems and had fully believed that should Vader ever fully confront his choices and completely shake himself out of his despair, he could fully regain the incredible powers he had as the Chosen One. In the expanded universe we see many sith loose limbs or severe injuries and continue to be just as terrifying examples would be darth maul and darth malgus
Jon-John Pinckney no it is implied that Anakin lost a very large amount of mediclorian after his fight with obi-wan. Which mean that if he didn’t lose and stuff, he would’ve been the strongest star war character ever

And also remember that’s only half his power. Imagine if he had his full potential as well he would be the strongest character ever in SW
In canon he hadn't lost his potential, only physical abilities were alternated. Canon Vader>Legends Vader
being the chosen one kind of does that
@@auditor7613 Well I mean Lucas did say Anakin would have at his full potential been at the least twice as powerful in Legends than Sidious. And Sidious in Legends was able to create force storms which could create some sort of force blackhole that could swallow planets potentially,as well as large fleets, and Anakin as Vader could have been just under 20% of what Sidious was so I'd say he might have been just if not more powerful than Canon Vader.
@@bencobey9973 I understand your logic, but Lucas's statement meant that Vader is 80 percent of Sidious from Revenge of the Sith, and not from Episode 6 or the Dark Empire. And this means that the only correct way to compare two versions (to one of which Lucas's statement doesn’t mean anything) is to compare their feats. Due to feats Canon Vader>Legends Vader.
@@auditor7613 OK I'll concede that in feats Canon Vader surpasses the legends Vader. What my argument was more based of is what he could've likely did and not what he actually managed to do. Also in Rotj Vader was only in his mid 40s or so, so he likely only reached around 50-60% of the 80% that he could've reached, so what I'm getting at is Legends Vader could've likely been able to be more powerful than Canon Vader just due to how stupidly ridiculously overpowered Legends Sidious was.
BTW I know your talking about Legends RoTS Sidious but even if Vader was a fraction of the power of Dark empire Sidious I still think he'd likely be a tad bit stronger than Canon Vader but that is what I think Legends Vader could've been.

If I recall, that star destroyer was already falling, Starkiller just pulls it to where he needs it to be.
@@barrystoltz5137Its.. still extremely impressive..
@@smolboi522 in the original teaser he DID pull it out of the sky, and that feat would have trumped Lord Vaders feat here, but as the final product stands, yes impressive, but light in comparison.
krplus.net/bidio/gs96m4midmq3dZQ in this clip he pulls the ship from flight and stops it just in front of him
krplus.net/bidio/YcOZgYJoenDMYXo in the finished game, it is clearly damaged (this clip doesn't state that it was already falling) and while he pulls it down, he cannot stop it and has to retreat from it.
I loved that you referenced the comics
Best intro of all time. SCIENCE YEAH
Never change, Austin, never change
"You see Austin, You're not dealing with your average sith lord anymore"
That awkward moment when Vader goes full Vegeta....
“For I have risen above, and became a legend”
hilarious. Though vader -wishes- he was sith ari.
have we been here before? i feel like we've been here before.
The layers of reference on this joke
Obi-Wan totally used the same thing in the new Disney plus show
i like that intro with dear...
Vader: "exists"
Austin: hEeyy DAdDyyyy
Vader supposedly means father
Ssssssooo
Technically he’s Lord Darth Daddy.
@@tikimillie *fangirls go crazy*
Yeah, last person to try that on Vader got killed. And I'm not talking about Padme.
Darth vader = dark father
@Jeremiah Kivi Vader: ... you know what? F*** this. *Insta snaps the neck.*
He wasn’t scared of the water...
IT WAS THE SAND
GOOD COMMENTARY PQIW FE
oh you BEAST !!!!
You know, I get the feeling the force doesn't grip as well to things like sand and water, which could explain Anakin's disdain towards the sand and would make the water cutscene way more impressive.
The high ground
I watched this video like 5 times over the past year because it just keeps getting recommended to me and I'm still not tired of it XD
Kal casually not even feeling the heaviness of the water when swimming
It turns out we _all_ underestimated his power.
Of thecfrorce
Hello There!
As Yoda points out weight doesn’t matter for that reason I argue that the main reason it is so hard for Vader is not only because it is heavy, there is so much of it to keep track of that so hard to hold all of it back.
Maybe it's about mass rather than weight. So if you can force lift a star destroyer that is also being affected by gravity, you could do the same in space too
@@curticegough6814 I rather agree with Attitcus you can grab part of a star destroyer e.g. the front and pull that letting momentum handle the rest for water you have to stop every single bit as if you leave say 1cm unblocked then its going to be coming through at immense pressure.
@@liamwarner5749 Well, maybe we're both right. People who use the force have clear difficulty manipulating large objects, but imagine how much harder that would be if there were several copies of that same object. I think both factors would probably increase the required effort, but in this particular case, it would be the amount of different water drops he has to manage combined with the pressure he's pushing against that Austin described.
umm, can I add something? in the video of the science on Doomfist Austin talk about moving object that is already moving is easier than make an object move. I think stopping object as heavy as water in that depth, which will rush in quickly, with that much space area is way harder than thread on it (or swim, I guess) even if you're using the force. this will also apply to the stopping star destroyer(???). a plane that is already in motion of falling, to bend it down in air would be much easier than dead-stopping it like Vader did with water... just my two cents.
@@wienzard36 That's actually a really good point. Just more proof that Vader is a beast
We all knew Vader is unstoppable in a hallway anyways
NO SARCASM, this is THEE BEST science experience theory I have seen yet (NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE THE POWER OF WATER!)
I dont like water, its cold, and soft and disrupting, and it drops everywhere
Anakin_003 how are you alive
Well anakin can easily lift Godzilla! So yeah he’s alive!
