2:32 funnily enough, that is how the sword is made in-game too. You get a hilt, along with 3 god sword shards, combine the shards to make a blade and then stick it on a hilt.
But does not look like it could be used.
@@gryphonrousch4679 To be fair, you do need 75 attack to wield it and I doubt these guys have been killed a sixty thousand goblins or cows
@@minihali um, so did you do the math on this? 75 Attack is 1,210,421 xp and you get 20 xp per goblin it would take 60521.05 goblins until 75, well done...
or you could kill 37825.66 cows same thing lol

I liked the video...but to be honest...I think the god swords are hideous. The tusks on the edges of the blade are completely repulsive imo. Waaaaay too much flare, while spitting on functionality for the blades concept. I get that there's limits to creativity when working with 5pixels, but the god swords look like something a 2 grader would make with legos. Let's not get me started on the cross guard....
tutorial island is the WORST grind man. took me a solid 10 hours but now that i've been playing for a few years i finally just hit 30 att/str/def so i get that sweet adamant armor! too bad it's expensive af

totaly awsome :) I used to play RS from 2002 on and grinded with my friends for GS parts, fact that u made it smitable in parts like U collect them (actualy its 3 parts and the hilt) was epic to see.

I played the original Runescape until the new combat style was released.
Always great to come on back to OSRS then, originally an old backup code from 2007, its that classic joy.

Usually video game weapons dont look as good in real life. But the godswords in runescape are so distorted it needed a real life version. And you guys aced it! I was not expecting such a clean slice at 17:20!

this is the first hacksmith video for me in which the weapon build ACTUALLY cuts through stuff and doesn't just smash, cool sword
Isn't the blade itself made up of three shards that are welded (or smithed) together, which can be fastened to the hilt in such a way so that the complete blade can be removed from the hilt, in order to be potentially placed in a different hilt? Idk if that'd work irl or not, but that's how it is in the game at least. I'm guessing in real life such a design might not be as practical (not many giant swords are really though). Overall, great project though, and I loved the incorporation of the classic soundtracks. Quite fitting, very well done.

I do a little bit of hobbyist bladesmithing, and I wanted to bring up something. I would think you already know, but in case you don't: in order to heat treat a blade right, there needs to be enough carbon, so low carbon steel hardly hardens. If you have enough carbon, you harden and temper the blade, if you don't temper it, it will be too brittle. However if you were to use low carbon steel, then you could probably harden it a little bit and then tempering won't be necessary, which I assume thats what you did.
