Seriously Hacksmith. You are amazing! The commitment is real! And truly astonishing I cannot wait to see this in all its glory. Also again, to everyone on this project who’s helping build this insane machine. You are very appreciated. Even if all I can do myself is watch this video a thousand times over.
I can't wait for one super cut off the whole process
@13:40 - Back when we were building a mech, we had a non-stop stream of test-pilot humor for every question or situation imaginable at conventions. "Why is the cockpit floor made from expanded metal mesh?", "Well it's lighter and it makes it easier to rinse the test pilots out of the floor.", "What happens if the mech trips or falls over? Can it get back up?", "It can, as soon as we remove what's left of the test pilot from the console.", "Are you guys hiring?", "No but we do accept internships. Right now we could use some more test pilots, we're running low.", "Have you thought about getting flamethrowers?", "We already have flamethrowers, we need them to sanitize the floor grating every couple days.", "Do all your test pilots die in the mech?", "No we prefer they die in the ambulance, there's less for us to clean.", "Your project sounds really dangerous, when will you have a mech piloted by AI instead?", "When we run out of test pilots.", "What happens if a test pilot survives a test?", "We'll let you know when that happens."
Is anyone concerned about the hacksmith clone 14:33
THANK YOU!
It’s very scary
What is that?

WHAT the heck
The military comes knocking on their door “Can we have one”

Hey Hacksmith,
I was thinking why you guys aren't trying to built the "foldable bow" and some arrows like what Hawkeye had in avengers..
That's all. Thank you.
So need need this in my life 🤩
I quite sure he can
Build something like that
Yes please make.
Or the one in the Green Arrow series
Some other guy I think quit KRplus already made that like a few years ago and yes it does fold and even has a pad on the arm that allows you to pick the arrows he wants to use if he actually had poisen arrows
I have a feeling that this build would be easier if you had some sort of mech... like a power loader or something

At the end of the project, you should invite James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver just to show them the beast.
He should invite the alien queen. And then toss her out.
Yes
Adrien Torrès I was just about to suggest this.
How many life-size working Power loaders are out there?
Cameron already has the original working power loader in his garage. No telling if it still works.
Disco_Latitude that was NOT a fully working Powerloader.
It had wires to stabilise and a bodybuilder on the back moving most of it.

Hi kyle. Hey quick question, wouldn't be D^2/4? Since r is D/2, R^2 should be ( d/2)^2 ?

Just found your channel and the fact you are building one of my favorite machines from movies besides the Delorean Time Machine. Definitely can’t wait to see it finished! Just make sure you have someone dolled up like Ripley!
Or even better get Sigourney Weaver in full Ripley costume to come and pilot it.
Love that Caterpillar yellow. Makes it look like a machine made for work and not an expensive toy.
I assume the reason for bright yellow for equipment like Caterpillar, JCB, and New Holland loaders is that it's a really eye-catching color so you're always aware when it's moving, even without adding in extras like rotating beacons.
@@racer927
CAT was using it long before beacons and back up alarms.

Looks awesome. Just thinking though, if you look at the arms of excavators, most of the hydraulics are hard lined with steel pipes through the internals or affixed to the outside, and the hydraulic rams have their hose connection towards the inside. Ok his provides protection for the hydraulic lines because they are expensive. Of course you will have to use some flexible hoses , but it would give a neatened finish. Anyway great work!
This is super cool. I worry about it tipping over though due to centre of gravity. Can't wait to see how this problem is solved.
You seem to need a Power Loader to assemble the Power Loader

you could re-purpose an old hydrolic forklift or skidloader and attach the arm to that. you'd have a heavier platform with a bit more leverage, and a diesel engine to power hydrolics.
Now you need to weather the paint to make it looking used and real. Waiting to see the complete loader.

Okay, from here that looks more like 3/8" plate. That's insane. Going to need an super heavy base for this thing not to fall over when it's all put together! Haven't done the math, but my intuition tells me 1/8"-3/16" plate boxed like that and reinforced in a few key areas would be more than adequate for those forces.

8:30 - That's the part that movies and TV shows always ignore when it comes to super-strength, either organic or mechanical. They always show someone/something picking up things that weight far more than they do, when in reality, they would just tip over.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but my common sense is telling me that to support the weight of two such arms being extended plus the weight of whatever it lifts without tipping over, the body of this thing is going to have to be massively heavy.
