    I have lost so many people who I loved dearly, even my little dog. It's hurts so bad. Severe depression has set in. I can only feel numbness locked up in my house, alone for months. Sometimes I would dream, fantasize about being good, devoting my life to God. The guilt of turning on God was a constant burden. Last night I went to confession. It was a simple confession with just the necessary details. The priest was not told of the above details of my situation. The priest basically said, that I need to get out my house. That I need stop dreaming and start doing. He said no matter what, I had to darken the door of the church. He told me I'm not alone in my suffering and very convincingly told me how much Jesus loves me. I am still amazed by what the priest said. Last night, God spoke to me through that. My is faith renewed. I asked and received. Praised be God.

      129jaystreet….being 80-young now I am like you in many ways. Lost a lot of family and friends who have gone on and most recently lost my beloved little Westie Brodie MacDuff a marvelous dog for 12 and ahalf years. But I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have Christ in my life. I go to Mass every day and my faith has saved me that I know God will let me see Brodie again over the 🌈 Rainbow Bridge. We will greet each other and walk with Jesus. While I’m still here May God send me another companion I prefer the 4 legged kind. I love Bishop Sheen used to watch him on TV many years ago. We miss his spirit and love for Christ. Pray the 📿 rosary faithfully. Happy Easter!

I think we should ask God, our Father, “what can I do for You?” As well.

      Very sorry for the loss of your wife I know as a man as a husband it is difficult very difficult for men to deal with the loss of their wife because the wife really organizes the home she organizes our lives she heart of the home she gives a home a soul and a father and the children we seem to build our lives around her and that Home the family so I hope you’ve made your adjustments and you adjust to that it’ll always be difficult. I pray your children if you have any are helping you with your loss and I’ll be praying for you And my ministry, my family and I pray for people all the time and it seems to help somebody my neighbor is suffering right now, my other neighbor across the street he literally came home from work and his wife who was my dearest friend she was dead on the couch, came over on my stoop and tears he couldn’t speak. I went into the Home and there she was I had to deal with the police cause he couldn’t do anything he just crumbled as any man he had to move. He couldn’t even live in the house anymore so anyway, but he didn’t lean on God for help. God will take away and help us with our pain. It won’t go away, but it’ll help us adjust and that seems to be where you are and I’m so happy for you. She is a wonderful, intelligent man a great resource, for anybody of faith, but as a Christian, he has a wealth of information and really good guidance so another great place the Bible shepherds chapel is a great place to learn your Bible check them out start the book of Genesis you will be surprised at the truth of the word that I want any money from you, they will teach you the Bible chapter my chapter verse by verseanyway, we will pray for you and my family and God always love you as he does and we love you in the name of Jesus sincerely preacher, and Pastor Paul😊

      I lost my brother in car wreck, then sister (suicide), then dad the same wk as my sister, then my son (suicide). So, I’ve learned a bit about heaven. For many years I’ve chanted an old, special word for God, HU. I found it in a book by Paul Twitchell, called “the spiritual notebook”. The HU changed my life. My dreams changed to a spiritual journey. I ask God to help in my recall of past lives, and to time travel, and to meet with/ loved ones in heaven, and for many years now I have. Death of the physical is so hard for those left behind, but for the person who’s moved on it is usually a true joy. HU will enhance your religion. It can bring freedom U never knew existed in the spiritual realms, while you’re still here. The powerful HU is on many KRplus channels, and the one with the quotes is really good.. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    To think that this is what used to constitute prime time, award winning television. We are SO, SO steeped in so much sin, and most cannot even see it. What used to be common knowledge to all Catholics is now unknown to most of them. The Church is suffering Her Passion, and Christ is watching to see what role we each choose to take.

    In his younger days he was Priest at a London parish church. There was a well known celebrity a music hall beauty with many lovers and plenty of all the good things. Yet she
    was almost suicidal with self-disgust. She came into Sheen's church and said she was a lapsed Catholic and just wanted to talk to him. She said "Just one thing, don't say a WORD about confession'. He was leaving and arranged to meet her the next day, walked her through the church to his office and then gently pushed her through the open door of a confessional. She confessed and confessed and confessed. She later became religious sister.

      IN LAYMAN'S TERMS - BOB SULLIVAN
      There is no salvation outside the Church - Part 1
      11 December 2020
      By Bob Sullivan
      For centuries, the Church has taught that there is no salvation outside the Church. To non-Catholic Christians, this is a tough teaching to hear and many lash out at the Church because of it. To such a Christian, they find it hard to believe that they could end up in Hell, because they know that they love Jesus Christ and try to follow Christ’s teachings to the best of their ability.
      I get it. I also found it hard to accept. I know many non-Catholic Christians who are excellent examples of discipleship. Their prayer life is admirable. They faithfully practice many corporal and spiritual works of mercy. They worship God on Sunday with obvious devotion, and their conversations are so peppered with Scripture, that it is undeniable that they spend time with the Bible each day. I have always found it hard to accept that such a person has no chance of salvation because they are not a member of the Catholic Church. Yet as a Catholic, I am bound to accept the teaching.
      Therefore, I studied it. And I have found that some may truly be doomed because of their own decisions, but they also have every opportunity to receive eternal salvation, and if they do, they will receive it through the Church. I’ll use a five-point list to illuminate this, even though there are probably many more points which could be on the list.
      1. The Church is the Body of Christ. In John 14:6, Christ said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” This shows us what the Church means when it teaches that there is no salvation outside the Church. The Church is the Body of Christ, and there is no way to the Father, except through Christ.
      2. Jesus did not desire various styles or traditions, much less numerous religions or Churches. Read John 17 and note Christ’s references to unity and “one.”
      3. In John 10:11-18, Jesus told the Apostles, and us, that He is the Good Shepherd: “I lay down my life for my sheep... I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.”
      4. It makes no sense that Jesus endured the agony, abandonment, humiliation, and anguish of the Passion, so people who reject Him will be saved. To do so would be to disagree with God’s purpose for sending Jesus to us: “... so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” (John 3:16) Yes, many non-Catholics believe in Jesus and the one God, but recall the teaching referenced in #1 above - The Church is the Body of Christ - then recall James 2:19 “You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe-and shudder.” There is more to this than belief.
      5. What truth and goodness do the non-Catholic Christian religions profess, which were not first professed and taught by the Catholic Church? (see Fr. Michael Schmitz video, “Aren’t All Churches The Same?” Ascension Press Media 2016)
      So do all these points mean that a person must be a baptized, practicing Catholic in order to be saved? In his encyclical on the Mystical Body of Christ, the Venerable Pope Pius XII provides something helpful toward an answer to this question: “... those are to be included as members of the Church who have been baptized and profess the true faith, and who have not been so unfortunate as to separate themselves from the unity of the Body, or been excluded by legitimate authority for grave faults committed.”
      So, yes. However, we can still have hope for people:
      a) Who are not Christian.
      b) Who were baptized Catholic, but have since separated themselves, or have been separated from the Church due to grave sin. And,
      c) For non-Catholic Christians who have rejected the Church by misinterpreting Matthew 16:18-19 and other scripture passages, Church documents, and historical events. Even those who have attacked the Church as the Whore of Babylon, and other misguided allegations.
      Pope Pius XII explains some of God’s “Plan A” for our salvation (your salvation). “Plan A” includes the greatest gift we can have after Jesus and the Eucharist: The Church. It is in the Church where the faithful have every tool, weapon, resource, and grace, we need in order to receive the gift of eternal salvation. I need every bit of assistance the Church offers. Some may receive eternal salvation without some of these things, but no one will receive eternal salvation without any of these things.
      Here the old adage applies: Better safe than sorry. In other words, on the matter of your eternity, it would be foolish to turn down divine assistance from God Himself and rely instead on your human will and intellect.
      Now for the hope we can have for those outside the Church: “Plan B.” St. Thomas Aquinas and other theologians have taught that invincible ignorance is a state in which people such as Catholics who have separated themselves from the Church, Protestants, the mentally compromised, non-Christians, and very young children, have never heard Christ’s teachings not because they refuse to believe, but rather because they have not yet (by no fault of their own) had an opportunity to hear and experience it.
      That certainly provides us with some hope for loved ones, friends, co-workers, and acquaintances who do not appear to be faithful Catholics. Maybe they, through no fault of their own, have never heard the truth. In Part 2 of this column, we’ll pick up there.

Hello...Thank You for sharing the message from this wonderful Holy Man Bishop Fulton Sheen. Growing up in the 40-50s my mom, dad and me would watch Bishop Sheen on Sunday evenings. My dad and mom were Protestants but I always was drawn to the Catholic faith but as a family we would listen to his religious teachings and really enjoyed them. We need more religious people with these true strong feelings of belief in Our Lord. My 3 favorite religious people are Bishop Fulton Sheen, Mother Angelica, and Rev.Billy Graham sadly they've went to Heaven. God Bless and Thank You for sharing this precious message tonight on this Holy Day of Good Friday. Bye from Ohio🌹

      1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
      2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
      3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
      4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
      Romans 3 kJV 🩸
      23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
      24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
      25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
      1 John 5 kJV
      13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

    Best lesson from my Mother to me at 5 or 6 years of age... I'm crying from a cut and she tells me try to bare your suffering and unite it to Jesus as he suffered on the cross for love of me. Never waste any suffering in your life... Offer it up to Jesus to save souls or to make up for Sins. It makes Jesus' pain less.

    I always enjoyed Fulton Sheen, even as a child of 8 years old. He was a beautiful, wonderful Man of God!❤

      When did Bishop Sheen die? 1960s? I also appreciate his homilies - and it's taught.
