Returning to the Kennedy Center following her turn in the pre-Broadway production of Gigi, Vanessa Hudgens played the role of Vanessa, with Anthony Ramos, who originated the roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the Original Broadway Cast of Hamiltion, as Usnavi, Ana Villafañe (On Your Feet!) as Nina, local D.C. actor Mateo Ferro as Sonny, Eden Espinosa (Wicked) as Daniela, J. Quinton Johnson (Hamilton) as Benny, original Broadway cast member Blanca Camacho as Camila, Saundra Santiago (Nine) as Abuela Claudia, Broadway cast member Rick Negron returning to the role of Kevin, Virgil Gadson (After Midnight) as Graffiti Pete, Arianna Rosario (On Your Feet!) as Carla, and original Broadway cast member Eliseo Roman reprising the role of Piragua Guy.
The production was directed and choreographed by Stephanie Klemons, who choreographed the NFL Super Bowl ad featuring Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. An In the Heights original Broadway cast member and Assistant Dance Captain, Klemons has a long history with Miranda’s work, having gone on to serve as Associate Choreographer for both Hamilton and Bring it On: The Musical.
The production featured scenic design by Tony®-nominee Anna Louizos (In the Heights), costume design by Andrea Lauer (Bring It On: The Musical), lighting design by Helen Hayes Award-nominee Cory Pattak, sound design by Andrew Keister (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), projections by Zachary Borovay (Rock of Ages), and Zachary Dietz (In The Heights) as Music Director.

Not guessing sorry. If there was a bootleg it would've been already on trading sites since it'd be a great way for the bootlegger to get money since as you can see it's in popular demand but theres no NFT date or anything about a video or audio so it's highly unlikely that theres a bootleg sorry. As for a proshoot the chances are slim because it's not actually a broadway cast. Sorry to be a kill joy I wanted this bootleg too.

I really love Anthony's Usnavi. He's brought a more emotional side to the character than I've ever heard, and it made songs like Hundreds of Stories amazing. Lin was really proud of him for this, especially considering he stepped into the role last minute

i cried when i saw the DR flag
1) To those who are saying the costumes, choreography, and set are underwhelming, it's a semi-staged concert, not a full production. The budget is intentionally limited as well as the set and costumes.
2) Actors put their own spin on characters. No one's trying to be a copycat of another actor. Lin's Usnavi was really energetic and playful while Anthony's was more serious and pragmatic. It's not to say he was broody all the time, his spin on the character was still fun and energetic but more in touch with his surroundings. I've listened to two of his audios and he was definitely more lively than portrayed in the video, it was probably a filmed run-through rehearsal I'm guessing.

I love that Eliseo Roman got to reprise Piragua Guy. Nobody hits the high notes in Carnaval quite like him.
He probably went in to audition for this and they recognized him from the obc and knew that if they didn't cast him as Piragua Guy they would regret it because he's the og piragua guy no one can do it like him

Best cast. For me, there's no musical that represent immigrats better that "In The Heights". In my country (Chile) lots of immigrants came here, and the discrimination for them is huge, and through this musical people can know how hard it is to be an immigrant, how hard is the life for them and the struggle.
Lin made this masterpieces to represent a huge problem that most people ignore, the life of immigrants in USA. So seeing this people representing their roles with such pride makes me feel a ton prouder of being Latina.

Ahh as much as I LOVE Anthony in Hamilton, it bothered me how a LOT of people in this comment section used a hamilton reference. as much as I LOVE hamilton references and i love Hamilton, we all know Anthony stopped doing Hamilton. We are all sad- but whenever he is in a new show, we can't just call him Phillip! I bet at first he'd appreciate it, but after a while it might get annoying for him. I don't know if this is true, but I think it's a cool idea to call him by his present role instead of his past role! :)
