All rise for Academy Award winner Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork. The New York Times Critic’s Pick To Kill A Mockingbird is “the most successful American play in Broadway history. It has not played to a single empty seat” (60 Minutes).

John Boy! This looks excellent. To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my favorite books and movies.

You can see Mary Badham (the original Scout from the movie) at 0:52 playing Mrs. Dubose in this production!

An absolutely incredible show. Great sets, fantastic actors and actresses. I really loved how they expanded Tom Robinson, Dill, Jim, and Calpurnia’s roles; they ended up having some of the best moments in the play! And my goodness, Bob Ewell. Probably the vilest, most despicable character I’ve ever seen in ANYthing. Some of the things he said just made me want to punch him, especially the one about Scout. On the other hand, Atticus and Scout were beautifully portrayed. Very “Tom Hanks”-esque in his performance, but it worked perfectly. Scout was just amazing. Her body movement really made you believe how young she was, and that accent was nothing short of brilliant. INCREDIBLY memorable.
What an INCREDIBLE show, Kennedy Center. Keep up the good work.

I only wish they could have extended their tour at the Kennedy Center. I really enjoyed the show. All of the actors and actresses were outstanding. I am going to miss them dearly, especially Richard Thomas. I was going to try and see it again but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to a fantastic seat. This play need to be win an award, everything about it was marvelous. Of course there was some light hearted moments. Well I guess I will stop writing, before this becomes an essay. 😆 🤣 😂
