It’s quite the coincidence that everyone finally grew a backbone after they were all pretty sure that Trump wasn’t the president anymore. His entire administration has been lying to our faces for 3 years, 297 days, 17 hours, 22 minutes and 46 seconds.....but NOW they can’t in good faith allow us to be hoodwinked by everyone involved in this endless dumpster fire? Let me be clear, I have absolute faith in the media & in journalists in general. If I never hear the words “fake news” again for the rest of my life it’ll be too soon. And I do understand that Trump is a tyrannical, egocentric, hamster-brained waste of air, who punishes people for being loyal to the country & the people, as opposed to him. Sometimes it’s more important to play nicely than to risk not being able to participate at all. But, they’ve clearly always had the ability to fact check them in real time, and this isn’t the first time we would have benefitted from it. It’s just the first time that everyone knows there’s an expiration date on this dystopian nightmare

As an American I just recently within the last 10 yrs learned how to say Adidas properly and I'm all for it. I also love how aluminum sounds.
Fun fact: The US is one of very few countries spelling and pronouncing it aluminum. All around the world it's much more common to say aluminium! Neither one is "wrong" necessarily, but if you go by population, "aluminum" is the rare one.

To be fair, the English aren't all that great at speaking their own language correctly either. I've spent a few years of my military career around English soldiers and quite a few of them sounded like they had a potato in their mouth while they talked. The officers generally spoke beautiful English with proper grammar and diction, but the rank and file troops were often barely comprehensible.

Most Americans speak properly. Spelling might be another story. And we don't need to speak BBC British-English. Their language has evolved through the centuries as well and they don't pronounce, or write, the same language themselves.
