I forgot how GREAT this show was. They did drag out the suspense of them be finally getting married, but it just made it that much better when they did 😭😭
Totally, this just makes me wanna binge watch it.
Makes me so sad that Fran Drescher reportedly didn't want the two to actually get together, but to keep playing cat and mouse. I would've hated if they didn't eventually put an end to their will-they won't-they! The character of Fran Fine obviously didn't want that for herself.
@@cgarcia3614 It's a well documented fact that when a fictional couple gets together, audience loses interest. Although they want them to, when they do, there's no more expectation. This refers to shows where chemistry and will they-won't they is a main driver.

Fran Drescher was ahead of the curve.

When I first found it on HBO Max, I watched it EIGHT TIMES IN A ROW 🙈🙊 I had such a crush on him in the 90’s!
4:36 is a perfect encapsulation of what made Niles so great
No hesitation, no second thoughts, and no regrets. He immediately knows how to play this for maximum enjoyment for himself and, far more importantly, maximum horror and pain for CC

She was asked once why she chose that time to end the show. She explained they were still having good ratings, but she wanted to go out while they were in a good place
The story was left to take it's time to grow and in the end we all got the pay off. She didn't want to be the guest that never left. Have show that stayed too long with dying ratings where the network finally pulled the plug. Pretty lady with smarts, awesome show with a fun talented cast.
Fran Dresser also had cancer in the last season. She probably needed time to heal from surgeries and treatment ect...
