I love how many characters in The Office started off as completely sane but over time descended into madness.
Like a certain guy who started the fire
It’s what makes them so relatable
All after meeting Michael 😅
im a fucking lizard king- Robert California (or not Robert California??)
Karen dodged a bullet. So many really.
David Wallace: (gives logical, rational reasons for firing Jan)
Jan: iS iT bEcAuSe Of ThEsE
I wonder, do you think she knew and was just using that as a scapegoat so she didn't have to face her own problems, or do you think she genuinely believed it was because of her augmentation? That's something I was always curious about!!!
To be honest, with David Wallace I could see it actually being them. He did at times seem like the type of person who might fire someone for something that made him uncomfortable.
Not that the other reasons just made it more justifiable but still...
@@runenorderhaug7646 Nah, Wallace was a good man. If he really would fire people just because they made him uncomfortable he would've fired Michael, Dwight etc. Jan was just insane and didn't do her job good anymore.
@@runenorderhaug7646 Uhmmmm.... No, David was the most patient boss ever, otherwise he would have fired Michael million times.
Obviously David was jealous of her ability and courage to augment her boobs
"You cheated on me, when I specifically asked you not to?" :D I love that sentence, it tells so much about their relationship :D
😂😂😂😂I died
The actress who played Jan did an excellent work 👌🏻 I didn't like her that much in the beginning but I absolutely despised her character towards the end 🙌🏻

The beauty of the office. Good people aren't good all the time and bad people aren't bad all the time. Just like real life..
Except Creed. Creed is always Creed. And we love him for it.
For the most part, that is true.
That is beautifully said!
The office characters are NOTHING like people in real life, they are all very cartoonish
except ryan and kelly
“HE ASKED FOR A LINE LIKE IN A PLAY”
gets me every time.
Melora Hardin should have got multiple awards for Dinner Party. One of the all time great sitcom performances
She was a guest star on Different Strokes when she was a kid and Todd Bridges snuck a kiss on her and she got all upset about it.
@@JENDALL714 cuz that’s sexual assault…
@@JENDALL714 I looked it up and apparently it was not just a "kiss," Todd Bridges also stated that he was m***sted when he was on the show so it definitely had some effect on that.

As someone that grew up right outside of Scranton, “Scranton suits you” is quite the insult 😂
Come on man , scranton is the electronic city afterall
People in or/and from NEPA are treated like drek; and yet, Philly, Pittsburgh, and Harrisburg would be bupkis without-for example-Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and Northumberland.
@@prabhatsingh7577 , NEPA in general also gave the rest of PA and the U.S. in general quite a few notable people-some from my own family, and with two of the ancestors of whom buried in Lackawanna County (One even left Reading for New Jersey and then came back to PA to reside in Luzerne-and he was a Jewish emigrant from Budapest.) What’s that about NEPA being so insulting again?
''How would a movie increase productivity Michael? How on Earth would it do that?''
- People work faster after.
''Magically?''
- No, they have to. To make up for the time they lost, watching the movie.
Does this kinda make sense or have I watched too many episodes of The Office?
@@tam6753 Yes.
1:01 even Toby was watching that movie! 😅
"...No."
Dinner party, a true showcase for Jan, is the funniest The Office episode, overall, IMHO. Melora Hardin, is a multitalented actress, even as a child she was on Little house On The Prairie plus other things❤️
I loved her character so much, don’t get me wrong, I absolutely despised her at the end, but that’s what makes her such an iconic and memorable character. Also, the candle scene with Jim and Pam? It felt like I could smell the candles from the screen lol
lol same jim's face hahah
Oh that Jim's face at the candle scene... That's the worst yet also the best Jim's face.
"You cheated on me?"
"When i specifically asked you not to.."
I always thought at first the greatest mystery was how Micheal managed to bag Jan. But after a couple of seasons, Jan starts looks like the crazy one and you start feeling sorry for Michael. Great actress. Beautiful, talented lady.
So true
I've noticed that the people who genuinely liked and appreciated Michael, even if it took them a whole, ended up having "happy endings" (Jim, Pam, Dwight, Holly) and people who undermined, bullied, or disliked Michael had it rough (Jan, Ryan, Packer)
Don’t forget David Wallace
Michael is a toxic person. This doesn’t make him better.
@@liuaqiang ?
David had so many oportunities to fire Michael for his bad job or desicions but yet he was one of the few ones with most patience towards Michael. Even accepting his extravagante behaviour and taking it normal.
I mean...Jan Ryan and Jacket were awful and written that way so...
0:30 Is Gould dead?
The concern in Michael's voice always gets me🤣🤣
3:20 I always thought Jan looked really pretty here with this casual look. All natural with her face, pony tail, sweats and a hoodie.
Jan: You’re hardly my first.
Michael: That’s what she said!!! 🤣😂😆
The most aggressive that's what she said ever 😭😭😂😂
Somewhere Hunter is still singing about that night with Jan.
Jan Levison's life is a roller coaster that only goes down...
I think the sassyness and irony on 'You know what? Love the beard, keep it forever" is criminaly underrated.
I don't get it
Why is it an ironic insult?
Is she saying he looks like a hobo With the beard?
@@ianr.navahuber2195 she is not going to give him advice after he just disrespected her. Oscar called it out too. No offense to BJ but…. No.
"That was a $200 plasma screen tv you just killed! Good luck, trying to pay me back with your zero dollars a year salary plus benefits babe!"
To be honest, It sucks how Jan turned from a Stong and Independent woman to being flanderized as a clinically insane person. But I also understand why they did it in order to further Michael's arc and make him realize that he needs someone who genuinely loves him rather than someone taking advantage of him.
that actually happens to a lot of people who spent their lives focusing on their work and they get "crazy" when they hit a late age bc realize they forgot to focus on their personal lives
Get off the soy, soy boy.
Micheal turned her crazy
@@rishaa682 any person can turn someone else crazy if they like them enough.
I think the seeds of her downfall were always there, they just needed enough proximity to Michael Scott to fully bloom 😅
Kinda ironic how in the season 3 premier she was scared the company would get a law suit
And in the season finale, that’s what she planned on doing
because she's smart enough to know how to hurt them
Oh how the turntables...
Jan is that nightmare dressed like a daydream for all of her lovers.
I get the sense people gave Jan what she wanted because of her looks and never took her seriously otherwise
“You burn it you buy it” still cracks me up 💀
The "Ryan ryan rya..." is done so brilliantly. She nailed this role!
The Dinner Party was the absolute best episode of the entire show.
Hey babe…
Dinner Party was Jan’s best and funniest episode of the series. Change my mind.
Definitley one of the best episodes in the series period.
Jan is one of the best characters. Hilarious!
She's cute too
@@jayakrishnan26yes! She gives me evil puppeteer vibes and Pam is her puppet 👧🏼😂
“I love the beard keep it forever” has to be the nastiest burn ever hahaha
Jan had the most sexiest voice of all The Office characters. Melora Hardin's voice modulations & her diction were par excellence.
Lol, no.
Down bad
And your word salad was bar none.
@@Voidaken you fucking stump. Jan's voice is one of the best I've heard from a females, so crisp it will stick in your mind
I agree with your comment but par excellence doesn't mean what you think it does
That line: "Do you have a valid passport" gets me everytime
What does that mean ? 🤨
@@nancymorales2958it means she wanted to go out of the country with him… on a vacation…
Jan seems like the type of person who can interpret every complaint as an insult.
*No Gould? What happened? Is Gould dead?*
False, they got divorced.
Just call me Levinson in the mornin’ baybayyyyyyy
@@whistlepiglet "Michael- just- just- stop."
Jan is the best character of the show PERIOD... Actually, she deserved a spin-off tbh. Reminds me a bit of Charlotte King from Private Practice, they both tend to hide their sweetness, love and tenderness under all that madness just to protect themselves and people who don't know them think they're frigid and always need to emasculate the men they're dating. They just need to believe in themselves and to have all the support they deserve.
Sister in SCOTTsdale... how have I never noticed...
Genius writing
Why do I feel like Jan runs an MLM and calls herself a girlboss
Because it was implied that she did in Dinner Party
She def did
Jan is a terrible person but she also grew up on and worked in extremely toxic environments. probably always being told how beautiful she is rather than her competence
@@jenm1 yeah that's just an excuse you're making for her terrible behaviour
I was in love with Jan at the beginning of the series, it was weird to slowly fall out of love with her as she became more and more cringy.
But idk I think about her as some of those people who become absolutely lunatic after a divorce/heart break. It does happen and it's part of what makes the show so realistic.
Jan was actually relatively normal before meeting micheal.
3:43
I love the super episode version better.
Ryan: "Scranton suits you"
Jan: "Best decision I ever made"
Ryan: "You were let go"
Jan: "I love the beard.... It makes you look like you actually have some character"
😂😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥
Keep it forever
I feel like the office did Jan a disservice on purpose and then when they discarded her as a character they neglected her rise back to her original self. When she left DM and Michael in their toxic relationship (not to place blame on either party, they were terrible for each other, but strangely pushed each other to their maximum professionally) She became a mother which gave her a sense of genuine love. She began her own business and thrived (tbh had Michel actually took her seriously he would’ve been a beneficial addition to that business) and became genuinely happy again. I love how they didn’t throw her into another turbulent relationship after Michael and showed how a woman no matter how hard she falls can get back up. I just feel like she didn’t know that all she needed was to believe in herself and her own intelligence and not feel so obligated and focused on proving the wrong people wrong.
good analysis. I agree, her environment, Michael, and her weird therapist caused much of her downfall. she wasn't super stable but I think many of us would have crumbled under that
U guys know this is a scripted show , right?
@@AnkitGupta-zs7mr 😂😂
3 vasectomies wasn't serious enough for her, she could've been happy with a baby and Michael the father so the genuine love she got from her baby could've happened way before. Jan never wanted to be exclusively with Michael in the first place because she felt like he was beneath her. Michael was always serious about her but she wasn't ready and just didn't want to be with him. The best thing that happened to them was the break-up, they both benefited
@@AnkitGupta-zs7mr do you think you relate to this show because it's entirely fantasy?
3:47 This doesn't make sense because despite being fired, she still had a choice whether nor not to move to Scranton.
0:05 Poor Michael. Jan completely took over his bedroom… and the bed.
Can we just appreciate the thumbnail and corresponding title of this video? Well done, Office Channel.
Jan is so cunning and bold. She reminds me of a mischievous puppet master. And Pam is her puppet 😂👧🏼
I’m happy to see how the office KRplus channel is still alive and well years after the finale of the show
As well as Netflix removing it from US subscribers.
1:01 even Toby was watching that movie! 😅
I think you mean "The Fall and *_Even Deeper Fall_* of Jan Levinson".
Huge fan here, really wished there was a season 10.
But the 9 seasons were perfect.
Tbh, it was already limping towards nine seasons - a 10th season would have risked seriously tarnishing its reputation, a la The Simpsons. Imo they should have finished after 7
nah the show started falling off when micheal left and they made andy the manager
Those last two seasons were HORRIBLE
in my honest opinion ed helms wasn’t that great of a manager he is more of a side character
6:43 “GOOD LUCK PAYING ME BACK ON YOUR 👌🏼ZERO👌🏼DOLLARS A YEAR SALARY PLUS BENEFITS BABE!” LOL 😭😭

Nahhh the scene of Dwight casually pimping out Clark to Jan will always make me uncomfortable

Gotta give it to Dwight, he knows how to close the sale. He had what Jan wanted to get that big deal done, the youngest guy in the office.
she is so gorgeous omg
Love to start my day with a hearty bowl of Jannn.
Before the office, I knew this actress by her other role, Trudy Monk from Monk
Yup I remember that, when she showed up as Trudy I think in Monk’s dream when he was in a coffin underground I teared up a little bit.

was the character written this way from the beginning or did her character change over time in the writing
Perhaps this can’t be said without the benefit of hindsight, but it honestly seems like the first time that Jan kisses Michael it becomes obvious that her life is going to change drastically for it
