I love how dedicated Jim is to his pranks. His magic bean prank had to have taken at least a month to organize and prepare. Then he has other pranks he orchestrates on top of that one. He's got to have a folder and a calendar for when he pulls them, no way he could get away with all of them successfully without one.
Why would that take a month? It's literally just two packets of beans and some saplings from a gardening store

it seems to me that Dwight really has this strong drive to live as this like heightened version of a man, that he's tapped into so many things he feels makes him special and powerful, and thus he'll always be afraid of potentially missing out on something else that's rare or esoteric that could also get him to that sort of place, no matter how silly the thing may initially appear to him. Those magic beans, he couldn't let it go even if there was a 1% chance they may have some kind of power.

Just one of the very few things I've always had a knack for is reading people fairly quickly (maybe that's key in how anti-social I am lol), even fictional characters. Motivations are important to me,t he WHY of what people do interests me a lot more than the WHAT they're doing.
I always found the conclusion to the magic beans bit to actually be sweet, even despite the whole telescope part. Jim could have just left Dwight feeling like a fool. Instead he put in the extra effort of letting him live in a world where magic beans exist.
I’ve always been upset at Dwight for never bringing up Jim’s telekinetic powers ever again.

The garage sale episode with the magic beans displays what kinds of salesmen Jim a Dwight are. Dwight made a lot of really smart sales slowly working his way up and Jim played the long game. In the end Dwight worked his way up and fell while Jim managed to pull off one big one and won the day. . . . I like this show to much.
