People often dont like the first season but it i think it is amazing. Natural dull office aura with no exageration in personalities of characters. Very authentic. Plus the cringe was just cherry on top.

Aside from the very first episode, first season was alright. It is the eighth season that I dislike.
i mean that was the original intention to "The Office". it was supposed to be a satirical mockumentary with cringe and dark humor. that is how the show mostly is in the original UK version by Ricky Gervais. but it didn't work for the american audiences, so in later seasons of the US version they went with a more lively sitcom take on it instead

Personally, I think some of the best parts were after he left. I agree overall it was better with him, but in terms of individual moments, post-Michael had some of the best.

She became more confident and happy when she broke up with Roy and got together with Jim

Hahah the mind of Michael is like a little child. Although, through the seasons, we see tiny glimpses of maturity and brilliant skills in sales as well as in life in general.

If it makes you feel any better they purposefully did his makeup like that in season 1 to make him look a little bit more sleazy. When the show wasn't working they changed his character and fixed his hair up.
I wish I had a boss like Michael. Parties all the time. Also, he really falls deeply inlove which is so endearing.
Toby was so panicked about the cops searching his desk because that's where he keeps the record of his victims that would tie him to the scranton strangler.
Edit: Well this turned into quite the conversation. I just wanted to be clear about one thing. I posted this with the assumption that people were aware of the "what if..." crazy scenarios. I know the show said who the strangler was but, as fans of any show do, us office fans tend to obsess over all the details of the show (like possible evidence pointing towards Toby) because this show has so many amazing and funny details. So if you're going to fart all over our party, just ignore this comment and let us have fun.
