The fact that Michael maintained steady profits is outstanding. Maybe that’s the reason he was the best salesman in the whole company at one point.
lets be honest it was all dwight

Michael taking charge at the meeting proves he is The King Of BS. He changed them from booing to cheering in just a few seconds. And you can take that to the bank.

The best part is that Michael ended up outliving all of them in the company. And the fact that 3/4 of the people there would run the Branch.

Was it ever explained what happened to Sabre? Wallace bought the company back. Also assuming the other DM branches remained intact.
@@westwardstar1686 Sabre was liquidated.
@@westwardstar1686 From my admittedly limited understanding, it seems like Sabre was a private company owned by Jo Bennet that had the purpose of selling and distributing printers. They acquired Dunder Mifflin because they were locally successful selling their printers and needed to expand to more regional markets that were currently untapped. They came at the eleventh hour and bought Dunder Mifflin and used it to sell printers in addition to the paper they already sold. This was a good investment and it was cost effective, because instead of expending capital setting up new branches, they just bought a business they’d turn around and then ask them to sell printers, too. It was a win win. Under the management of Robert California, who I believed actually actively sabotaged the company with the intent of later liquidating it and profiting, Sabre fell into a state of decay where the company couldn’t manage its own printer business and the paper distribution wing it owned grew at the same time, overshadowing all other aspects of the company. It got to the point that when Sabre was sold, the buyer was only interested in the paper side of things, which used to represent a small fraction of total business, but thanks to California tanking the rest of the business as well as the bad press with the printer fires, paper was now a majority of Sabre’s business. The rest of Sabre’s assets and product plans, which used to be enough for a full company but now were collapsing, were completely liquidated and partially given to California, but mainly given to the company now called DM again, owned entirely by Wallace.
@@Kumpkinmooster You mostly covered it. I think however that Robert did not purposely tank the company. I think he just started to bomb after his divorce, coupled with the fact that the company was doing poorly after the report of the printer fires. I also think that Sabre was in decline prior to the Dunder Mifflin acquisition (this was still 2009-2010 after all) as this clearly was not their first acquisition and the Sabre store was obviously an attempt at revitalizing sales. And the reason Wallace bought Dunder Mifflin back in the first place was because Andy basically gave him insider information (not technically insider information but it still gave him an edge to buy back the Company).

Not that hard to believe actually 😆
I just realized the waste management plant got more applause than Michael.
Me too how did I not notice this. I love these chopped up episodes
That’s what the scene was trying to show, he wasn’t as important to the meeting as he thought
You can see the anger and frustration in his eyes lol
Congrats, you found the joke
4:19 the look on Michael's face when the announcement on the repurposing plant gets more accolades than him when he was introduced moments ago - priceless!
Andy yelling hate the twirl WHILE he twirls is hilarious
Love how Oscar is a low-key hypocrite who wants to enjoy the luxury and chastise the company at the same time 😂
Later Oscar will be a high-key coward when he has a chance to criticize the management to their faces but instead give complements... and he owns a share of DM's stock. 🤌

The end reminds me of politicians' empty promises 😂
If the Scranton branch was the only branch functioning properly, then it's a miracle that the other branches lasted this long.

Michael's face when the shareholders gave the waste treatment plan a bigger round of applause always gets me.

You forgot to add the ending of running into a limo, "stealing it" and driving back home.
Erin: Michael, the limo's here for you
Michael: It's not a limo, it's a town car. Town cars are actually better though-
Erin: They said limo
Michael: *Friendship ended with town car, now limo is my best friend*
from history video to geography to office episodes,my boi is everywhere
I just love every scene where Oscar is having fun with everyone else lol
“The car seats eight.”
“The LIMO seats eight.”
💀💀💀
The thumbnail picture…😆 His facial expressions always crack me up.
Micheal transition from liking town cars to not after seeing the limo 😂
The funny thing is, that limo IS a Town Car, just in limousine form instead of sedan form
Michael:"Then Jim and Pam, and Ryan plus a guest"
Ryan:"I'll use it when you are done" lmao
I love how everyone is excited just to see a limo they don't get to ride in
3:27 he was not joking :(
“And limo lady, we are going completely carbon neutral. I love you New York.”
*does the famous spin*
“That’s bigger than my bed”
That’s true, considering Jan has space issues.
I love how Michael walks and measures the length of the Limo. 🤣🤣🤣😭
I love how the thumbnail is just pure chaos
that thumbnail perfectly captures this entire series.
Love how Kevin went running downstairs but won't walk when they took their parking spaces😅
Andy intro for Michael is priceless haha Great Andy 0:45
Just before all the corporate heads stood up you can see that look Michael gets when he can't let something go. Then he randomly comes up with the 45 day plan lol. It's just like the big surprise at the end of the day he promised the office and never came through with or paying for the kids educations. It's all about the moment for him.
Yep it is- Great Examples too!
This was, overall, a fantastic episode. It showed how out of touch and ignorant the corporate were of the financial crisis. Also, as someone mentioned in the comments below, showed how Oscar was a hypocrite.
Edit: Loved how self indulgent michael was here.
You never been an accountant did ya?
I don't think corporate was ignorant so much as they were trying to bluff their way out of a tight spot. If they could convince the shareholders that everything was fine and that they were just in a temporary slump, then they stood a chance of pulling through; once the shareholders expected the company to go bankrupt, the stock value fell precipitously and made bankruptcy almost certain. It similar to how a recession can spring from fears of a recession.
Oh....but they knew. They knew very well. But had to sell it in hopes of finding a way out before it was public
I'm pretty sure what Michael did at that meeting comes close to constituting fraud, not showcasing good leadership. He lied to the shareholders in that entire speech. If it had come out that he'd made all that up the company could've been sued.
“Boooooooo”
Michael: *I didn’t sign up for this*
"Hate the twirl" As andy spins, it was really funny
He was so hyped he went back to the crowd🤣
The look on Michaels face at 4:19 is hilarious
Lol when he realizes a waste plant got more applause than him
I love when Andy says “HATE THE TWIRL!” As he spins 😂
I work in finance and I always wondered what were the finance roles of Angela, Oscar and Kevin in the show. Oscar is obviously the FP&A or Management Accountant. Angela seems to take care of General Accounting & Finance as she seems to be the one balancing the accounts and approving payroll and expenses. Kevin is... well probably doing the administrative part like photocopying, haha.
I think it was stated later that Michael gave Kevin a job because he liked him but he doesn't actually do much work if any
This is the best improversation Michael has ever done. He found the lines along the way.
..."I might do the spin."
That's what she said.
Michael saying the pillows are bigger than his head are definitely a reference to Jan putting him on the futon lmao
I love the scene where they all climb down the stairs😂
So funny to think that these grown adults have never seen a limo in boringville Scranton, PA. They're like kids running downstairs on Christmas lmaooo
I love how they get exited and run to go see a limo like little kids
The way Michael looked back at the camera when they were booing him and the others 😂
The way Michael's face lights up when he sees the Limo. ❤️
Oscar really showed what kinda person he really is in this episode lol.
The thumbnail describes Michael’s personality perfectly lol.
"It's not even a twirl, it's a spin"
"I might do a spin"😂
The limo driver needed more screen time he was one of my favourite characters
Lmao at the waste plant getting more applause than Michael
Michael:
“Day 45: company saved. Day 44: go”
Everyone else:
The fact that Michael Scott is actually the most believable face in that group of managers to give hope to the workers is so funny.
This is why I'm glad I get to ride a limo for important summits with other leaders. It even comes with its own set of running bodyguards. It just can't get any better than that!
Korea fell off
It’s good being you. 😉
It's Thursday night, June 9, 2022. I miss watching The Office reruns on summer nights when they aired on NBC.
This is one of the best episodes
Honestly it's the employees that make the company, in a real world scenario if they followed through on what Michael said and did a basic throw away 45 day plan to motivate the people and if they had questions just assure them to have faith in the plan and they'd see improvements it'd keep morale up and minds open while buying 45 days to do an analysis and test some potential solutions before implementing a new strategy company wide. It's tight but could potentially work
4:19 I never before noticed that the pulp re-purposing plant in Milford got more applause than Michael
Can we accept that Michael is such a fun boss that everyone just went down to see the Limo and just abandon their work and not a problem for him ❤
Ok where can I find the rest of this episode? I need to hear this 45-point plan
Bruh that twirl had me dead xD!
Michael Scott doing the twirl or spin is probably a nod on David Brent (Office UK) doing the spin in one of his dances.
One of the best episodes ever!!
3:43 and 3:47 made me wheeze bc of Michaels face 😭
one of those times Michael being Michael saves the day
It is tradition for me to stop watching after the CEO thanks Michael so I don’t have to watch the cringe that ensues
Edit: Ok but Michael spouting nonsense and dancing is absolutely hilarious
Oh, I forgot how the CEO of Dunder Mifflin obliterates Michael in the end... and Oscar chickened out on his criticisms against the company...
The next episode of the season is "Scott's Tots" lol
5:46 I got some Homelander vibes from Michael.
3:52 I love how the repurpose waste management plant fetched more of an applause than Michael did.
If this isn't the best show ever, then the best show is this.
Loved it. Still Loving it.
0:44 *"Ladies and Gentlemen, from Scranton, Pennsylvania, please welcome, Michael 'The Machine' Scott!"*
Probably the best scene in the office catalog
What I love about this show are the transitions when Mike comments on certain things (often the opposite of what he just said) after scenes where something happens 😂
Great episode
Where is " you guys ever protected the president"? 😂
It's not included in this clip but I love what Michael said at the end of this episode about limos being for the working class and not for the people that loose millions.
“You look, how you say, radiant” “Michael why”

@1:15 Oscar sounds like Lakers and Nets this off season
“That is bigger than my bed”. So true. :)
You, you guys are the real heroes

Definitely the spin works, unlike the twirl
This show never seizes to make me laugh

Sounds like something Michael would write 😂

Lol yeah that’s a Michael Scott blunder.

Am I the only one that thinks Michael calling the Person that called him a Moron a Moron kinda... satisfying?
As stupid as it sounds like, Michael IS the most Porfitable Branch, and I also think Michael and Co taking back the Limo Home is also satisfying too.
It's not real, it's a fictional show.
