Wasn't there a side quest in the isle armor where you and hop help a liligant get back there child. Its like an anime episode except all that was missing was team rocket coming in and stealing them. I want more main missions and side quests like the anime
I definitely love the design for the horses. Maybe it's just me or not but Spectrier gives me a Shadow Pokemon vibe kind of like Shadow Lugia. Either way they're cool!
I also very glad they made Horse Legendary Pokemon. Because, I was born in 1990 and did you know that 1990 was the Year of the Horse in the Chinese Zodiac?

Well, Calyrex is the king of Galar, so I don't think he would be outdone by some stupid genie dog from Unova

Legendary Pokemon aren't meant to be balanced. That's kind of the point. The problem is that there's so many of them nowadays that the status of being legendary has kind of lost all significance.

I'd argue is probably one of the more underwhelming legendaries I've seen. Shadow rider just sucks and one of it's two abilities is unnerve which imo is one of the worst abilities to exist, so....soooo much potential for as one lost here. Ice rider is okay though. Decent typing, and a signature move that hits 2 targets is always nice. But even then it has a few hard counters. Not to mention this feels like the most underwhelming and uninspiring pokemon fusion of the bunch.
All in all. This had potential. But imo just like all of sword in shield, this just left me feeling dissapointed.
I'm starting to really appreciate these later trailers showing off some of the secrets of the game a month after the DLC has released. It gives the hardcore fans that already purchased the pass to play the game without getting spoiled and then shows off the new stuff to anyone still on the fence on actually getting the DLC.
Keep this up, Pokemon.

These guys actually have official artwork at last. Also, Game Freak has done an INCREDIBLE job with the DLC, and the steeds and Calyrex look great.
They gave alot of character to Calyrex
In my opinion, this DLC was kind of disappointing. I loved the returning pokemon of course, but I felt like my expectations for the DLC were higher.
They look like blobs with hair glued onto them.
@@shootingstar175 Same. It really felt like it added nothing to the game and just relied on nostalgia of the legendaries. Something I could honestly not care that much about.
Kyurem: I shall fuse with the Pokémon of Truth/Ideals to gain a part of my older self back, and become stronger than ever.
Necrozma: I shall combine with the Pokémon of the Sun/Moon to regain the light I lost long ago.

My personal favorite is Pheromosa but I love that Buzzwole just looks like a Jojo stand
These aren't out there, they're horses with like one element of "ghost" and "ice". They're objectively awful designs.

Meh, the Pokémon Home artwork for Pokémon makes them all look tacky, which was the first artwork revealed for both Pokémon, and the legendary horses compared to other horse Pokémon makes it seem like Glastrier and Spectrier need better eyes, for a Galarian Rapidash looked better despite it’s simpler design.

If Calyrex was a DLC fighter in Smash, then I'd love it if he rode on Glastrier and Spectrier to use their signature moves as its Neutral Special. It depends on button code or a random chance of riding on Glastrier or Spectrier.

I really like these new horse Pokémon! It’s great that we have expanded upon them some more after the Galarian Ponyta line. Glas/Spectrier have some appealing designs as well, especially when they are fused with Calyrex!

Glastrier’s Rival should be all of the Rapidashes plus Spectrier
Just in case if anyone is having a tough time with your decision between Glastrier and Spectrier, just know that Glastrier is basically a slow, but hard-hitting tank, while Spectrier sacrifices bulk for speed, and it's also a much more ranged attacker. There is no "wrong" decision, it all just comes down to preference, both are really great.
I was so happy and surprised that there were Pokémon who hadn’t been leaked. I enjoyed every second of the Crown Tundra.

I already did the Expansion Pass in Sword. At the Isle of Armor, I chose Bulbasaur and Single Strike Urshifu over Squirtle and Rapid Strike. And at the Crown Tundra, I chose Regieleki and Glastrier over Regidrago and Spectrier. I plan on making the opposite choices when I play Shield.
Same for me, except I chose Regidrago first.
or just start a new profile to get the other forms then transfer them to your main profile with pokemon home

But you can have two fused Necrozmas.
I can't wait to see Calyrex debut in both anime and manga. I get the feeling his role will be more important, than Zacian and Zamazenta. If we're lucky, hopefully both anime and manga, Calyrex backstory be expanded. 😊

Q/A: How come Calyrex turns blue when he Dynamaxes along with his loyal steeds?
A lot of people theorize its because Calyrex is using his own powers to Dynamax, instead of drawing on the often corruptive powers of Galar Particles.

I would like to report a problem. For some reason, Kyurem, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina cannot learn their signature moves. Unless you get the moves when you got them, their is no way to learn them the moves. The moves in question being Roar of Time, Spatial Rend, Shadow Force and Glaciate which in turn prevents Kyurem from learning Freeze Shock and Ice Burn. I would like these bugs fixed as I got a bad ranking in the Dragon King Cup as I had to use blizzard on a Kyurem Black. Another thing I would like to happen is a event where you can fight a Shiny Regigigas with Scrappy at level 100. If you beat it you are guaranteed to catch it but can no longer participate in Regigigas Raids.

I'm gonna have to replay this game, now that everything's been added in. I wanna have a new experience, but I also wanna make sure that this feeling that Calyrex's story is better than Zacian and Zamazenta's is legit and not just me being in awe of the new content.

The doggos just had their story more spaced out while Calyrex has his more compressed due to the nature of DLC.

EX, thought y'all were coming out with some new form of this game but it's just you pushing the expansion pass set for them holidays
Hey, it isn't too bad an idea. The EX version is only intended for people who don't have the game or DLC, and it costs about the same as the normal game and the DLC seperately.
It might be a tad more expensive, if only because it's forking over 80 bucks _(or a little less, depending on the store,)_ for both the game and DLC in one purchase, rather than buying the game first, and then saving up thirty dollars to get the DLC later.

Since these guys are based on the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. With Glastrier being based on Conquest and Spectrier being based on Famine. Will there be more legendary horses? Such as Red Fighting Type Horse based on War, a Green Poison Type Horse based on Pestilence, and a Pale Dark Type Horse based on Death.
Gotta say i really liked the whole calyrex storyline. It Was interesting, you actually had to do things instead of the legendary just being given to you, the horses are Cool, and a bunch of times it Was pretty funny too.

I wonder if there will be another steed. And if there is Calyrex’s true form that fuses with both steeds or he turns into a same form no matter who fused with like Necrozma that’d be strong as Arceus.
Calyrex says it himself that he only ever had the one horse, and which horse that was is up to you to decide.
A kind of _'Schrodinger's Mount'_ type of deal; the one you pick is Calyrex's lost companion, no matter what the choice is. while the existence of the other horse is kind of left up in the air.
I picked Spectrier myself, but I think the closest we got to a 'canon' pick would be Glastrier. The statue of Calyrex in Freezington does depict him riding something that looks more like Glastrier than Spectrier.
Plus according to its Dex entry, Spectrier would rather live its un-life in peace and quiet, and wouldn't just be terrorizing the people for no reason. But its colder counterpart totally would do that; whatever Glastrier wants, it takes by force, according to its Dex entry.
Feel like this is a shout out to Game of Thrones and the White Walkers.
And the two horses somehow look like the dead versions of Mudsdale and Galarian Rapidash.Maybe it was intentional.

My favourite Legendary Pokémon are: Galarian Zapdos, Mega Mewtwo X, Raikou, Ho-Oh, Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Regieleki (though, I call him Regilektron, just a personal preference), Regigigas, Primal Groudon, Primal Kyogre, Rayquaza, Mega Rayquaza, Uxie, Azelf, Dialga, Cresselia, Heatran, Virizion, Tornadus Therian, Thundurus, Reshiram, Zekrom, Xerneas, Zygarde, Tapu Koko, Lele, and Bulu, Solgaleo, Dawn Wings Necrozma, Ultra Necrozma, Zacian, Calyrex, and Ice Rider Calyrex.

Nice we official artwork. To me Calyrex and its two steed were the best part of Crown Tundra. A Good Legendary Pokemon story like with Nebby and better handled than zacian and zamazenta's story. Well played Game Freak. Plus a natal Pokemon fusion unlike Kyurem and Necrozma.

The Crown Tundra was so much better than the Isle of Armor, one of the reasons that you battle the main legend to catch it. The last time I had a challenge catching a legendary before the Crown Tundra was Zacian. (yes, I play Sword)
