Steel-type moves used by Gigantamax Melmetal will change to G-Max Meltdown, a move that slams opponents with shock waves and swirling liquid metal.
This move doesn’t only deal damage to opponents-it also prevents them from using the same move consecutively!

I love all of the people working their asses off just to get a Meltan. Meanwhile Pokemon just casually gives one away.
Meltan wasn't the problem. The goddamn quest was annoying af if you don't live in a huge city, but it was manageable. Problem is getting the shitload amount of candy for melmetal if you don't have Pokémon Let's-remake-kanto-for-the-100th-time [baby edition]

Why is it so hard? I've had a bunch of meltan and melmetal, and shiny versions too long before the release of sword and shield. Just open the box and and catch them.

If you had the game and could get the meltan from the mystery gift it was really pretty easy if you had pinap berries. It was only like 50 catches or smthn

For awhile there I was afraid they had forgotten about their promise of GO and HOME connectivity. I'm glad to have been proven wrong. Also, seeing as Melmetal is my favorite mythical Pokemon, I'm happy that we're finally getting the Gigantamax form.

tbh, as someone who did grind for a Melmetal i'm okay with this. I love having pokemon with my OT which is why i got the pokeball plus so the Mew had my OT. as long as the new gigantamax melmetal doesn't have the users OT im fine with this.
Max Cottrell Pretty sure the HA starters and the Shiny Zaraora had your OT. Or maybe it was your Home OT, which is linked to your Switch account? Something like that
Rusty yeah you might be right, i didn’t get the shiny Zeraora or any of the most recent pokemon things because i wasn’t big on gen 8 after i completed both sword and shield, so maybe they do but i’m not sure, i’ll still get it either way it’s just a preference thing

It’ll more likely have the HOME OT and you’ll more likely have to stick with the nickname you give to your Melmetal. Unless you’re talking about transferring a Melmetal straight from Pokémon Go.

As far as in-game lore and the anime are concerned, I think it's because Melmetal only eats metal that you cannot feed it the Max Soup.

0:10 the bottom text looks confusing to me... it looks like if I transfer a particular pokemon from GO to sword & shield I need that pokemon to be registered in the sword & shield pokedex already or just already caught 1 to be in SWSH...... what does that mean exactly??
It looks like you cannot use GO Pokemon to complete your Galar Dex. You have to catch those Pokemon in Galar first, I don't think that applies to the DLC Pokemon but I could be wrong, I was able to bring Pokemon over like Clauncher, they didn't count for the Pokedex unless it was actually a Galar version, maybe they changed that. Whole thing is confusing because we have brought over many other Legendaries already.
